Double M Herbals | Kratom Forum

Is the answer right before my eyes (cause I can be thick that way). I have been wondering for near two years now: what does "Double M" mean?
I have 'Googled' Double M and got all kinds of answers (some of them quite bizarre).

So. We all love Double M or we would not be here. Can someone tell me what M X 2 means?
One of the Ms is Mitragyna?

It was supposed to be MMM, because we're tasty, but e_poison screwed up.



You'll have to get the answer from him. I think so it would be different from yet close enough to r/kratom for people to come across it in a search for kratom subs on Reddit. That's my guess.

Since we support all the small batch vendors, double M means "FIRE FIRE" As in Double the Mitragyna. After all we all know we got some fire vendors here, compare to Gaia or other big daddy's.

I always thought it was just because r/kratom already existed, so an extra m was added. It could have easily been kratom2 or kratomx or anything, I doubt much thought was put into it at the time. Basically what hh said

We started out as r/kratomm on reddit.

The Double M is a reference to the 2 m’s in the name. I can’t remember when the ‘double m’ terminology was first used, but the name stuck.

When reddit banned all vendor talk, we created a new forum to continue the community and went with the Double M name after some debate.

So there you have it.

Oh, for goodness sake, don't feel ashamed or even embarrassed! I didn't ask earlier because I assumed everyone knew something that I didn't (which is pretty common for me) I'm embarrassed that I didn't even know much about reddit until a year or so ago. Now it seems like there is waaay too much stuff on there to ever get through.

But I did try Googling "Double M/ MM" and got some very odd answers.

For a long time when I used to see double m herbals pop up I thought it was associated with mmm speciosa. Lol I know I'm dumb.

It's good to ask questions! I'm surprised I never mentioned where the name came from before. Perhaps we need a small FAQ page for the site.

To all of the people who didn't know about the mm subreddit should go and do some research on those old threads.. a lot of the members that posted on them are now some of our favorite small batch vendors, lotta good reviews of what are considered "vintage" batches now!
