I think we all need to tune in tomorrow. My guess is that they're planning to drop the national KCPA soon. Only seems logical after they ran those ads during the last presidential debates.

It's been 2 years since NIDA gave the University of Florida School of Pharmacy the first grant, and they followed up with a second grant.

So I read the linked article in the original post by lucky. I’ve been using kratom for exactly 3 years this month and I’m still learning the “politics”. Could someone kindly give me a brief overview as to if this is a good thing or bad thing? Maybe even a neutral thing?

A LOT has changed in two years... Let's start with a review of AKA's Mission and science. Most of us agree with AKA's science on kratom. Two years ago I'd say most everyone did agree with the above statement... Unfortunately, we've seen a number of people recently get involved with kratom, and now go around claiming kratom is "A Drug", and they "got addicted" and so blame all their problems on kratom?

AKA started 5 years ago, to rally consumers and fight the proposed DEA Ban on kratom in 2016. As we know, that DEA Ban was defeated! Since then... what? Well for starters, Zero deaths attributed to kratom! And a huge explosion in # Americans who use and enjoy kratom. Lots of new folks = Lots of money money money.

AKA has changed. Big Kratom is now here! Big Money means sketchy business, for a Grey Market product... AKA Chairman, Dave Herman, suddenly resigned 1 year ago... Herman had done an excellent job! But now we have, Mac Haddow, and they appoint a right-wing Republican politician: Matt Salmon. And some guy from Nutrition For Life, a shady MLM company? This Conference tomorrow 1/28, is with Congressman Mark Pocan (WI) Democrat. Pocan is leader of the Congressional Progressive Caucus... Matt Salmon and AKA, now appear to be a "conservative" lobbying group, representing many tRump'ers. Salmon is known for his anti-gay votes in Congress. Pocan is the #1 Kratom supporter in Congress!! Question: Why do we need Federal Law "Regulation" on Kratom? Wouldn't it be MUCH better, to have Kratom added to DSHEA? In Fact, that's what the AHPA, the American Herbal Products Association, want. This is beyond ridiculous... I am at a loss for words with the AKA...

So basically what I understood is that some secret letter was written to the DEA or FDA trying to schedule kratom and then someone not AKA brought it into the light then it was stopped but we all need to fight for KCPA so we are certain that are kratom isn't being contaminated by A.narcotics OR B nootropics or C some other bad stuff the ONLY WAY we know for sure our kratom isn't spiked with this BAD stuff is to purchase from AKA sponsored distributors which are ran by places bringing it in by the ton and making sure to test a tiny tiny part of the tonnage.Thereby putting all these outlaw small vendors out of business or waiting for big Pharma to isolate each alkaloid and make our leaf into something they can profit from.
So we consumers need to keep donating to the AKA so they can keep us safe from ourselves.

Sorry it s sad tho really some one please tell me Ive twisted this.I m also curious why the AKA has never mentioned how to prepare our tea in a manner to keep parasite s from my body if they did happen to be there.I learned that here on doubleM.

I felt like it was another big scare tactic all the hype about some big news to tell us this was a neither way to take control and something that started out to help has changed, Im I wrong .
