Has any one tried em? I had their red Borneo and red Sulawesi last week and they were both pretty

Kratom forum, reviews, and vendor listings

Near exact same. 2017 Gold MD was ridiculous, Red HK is still a bummer to hit in rotation.
When did they get in trouble for bad batches? Is that why they changed there name?Corde32 wrote: βSat Mar 13, 2021 10:54 pm Yeah they used to be socal, socal had some great stuff many years ago and their green zareena is legendary. They got into some legal trouble with selling some contaminated batches(many many other vendors also landed in hot water for this back then) and ended up selling out to what is now first coast tea. Last time I checked their menu they still had some socal stuff listed
Oh wow, I forgot about that whole salmonella fiasco. That was a shit show for a while! Was Socal one of the vendors in on that? I know Gaia was ... they had a huge falling from grace in the kratom community because of it.Ravenflow wrote: βSun Mar 14, 2021 5:19 pmWhen did they get in trouble for bad batches? Justin got a raw deal with that whole thing. Was he ever charged with anything?CatfatherB wrote: βMon Mar 15, 2021 6:41 am I dont recall them being caught up in the whole salmonella fiasco but do remember them being blamed for that "kratom fatality" when that kid died? Turned out that the kid was related to the publisher of the paper who was pushing that story..
Oh man, that red hulu was the best! I'd give anything to have more of it!Madvillain626 wrote: βMon Mar 15, 2021 11:32 am Has anyone had the red hulu lately? Socal red hulu was one of all time favorites. If its still good 8'll definitely cop some
That is what caused them to have to sell out! That kids parents sued them or some shit right? There were a bunch of different vendors that were on a list for having batches pop for salmonella though and socal was on the list. Gaia was the most famous one to test for it and apparently they had a lot of contaminated batches who really knows though that's back when the fda was attacking kratom anyway they could and millions of karen's as well so I'm honestly skeptical of all the reports that came out about so many vendor kratom vendors popping for batches with "trace amounts of salmonella" I never not once got sick from any of those vendors stuff or even gaia and used alot of it. I should have contexts that withy earlier statement about socal as well.CatfatherB wrote: βMon Mar 15, 2021 6:41 am I dont recall them being caught up in the whole salmonella fiasco but do remember them being blamed for that "kratom fatality" when that kid died? A few years ago I thought they were tops. It's more sporadic now for me. But you can still get fire on occasion. And it's probably as 'clean' an operation as you can get. And I dont just mean the testing & cGMP standards that AKA approves. Although I mostly lurk here only, I think many of the members here have seen the potential drawbacks of those larger operations on the AKA list. In any case, 1st Coast has fancy sifter and UV irradiator and other equipment that they were using. I assume they still are. If so, should mean it's quite clean (and probably has less stem and vein in the powder than when it left indo). Anyway I'm hitting some small batch vendors for a while, but I wouldnt knock 1st Coast too hard.Grimble_Gromble wrote: βFri Mar 26, 2021 10:04 pm I ordered from them a ton when they were SoCal and ordered from them a few times as First Coast Tea Co and overall I'd say their stuff was average to good but somewhat inconsistent. Some stuff was solid and some stuff was so so. I haven't ordered from them for probably a year or more at this point so don't take my word for it.
Yeah they definitely have a clean operation and they were consistently there for me when I needed them so def not trying to knock too hard. Plus they have (or had, I assume it's still there but idk) good sampler deals so you can try a variety of stuff. In addition to that, they have a lot of other cool products and easy order and payment options. Website looks nice too. Hell, I think I still have some stashed away for emergencies haha. I remember getting some stuff that was really good and I've recommended them to folks without hesitation. Definitely worth a try.Chrisbcritter wrote: βSat Mar 27, 2021 5:08 amA few years ago I thought they were tops. It's more sporadic now for me. But you can still get fire on occasion. Sorry if I was disrespectful of the kid who overdosed, but my ire was aimed more at the parents. I have seen time and time again these supposed kratom 'overdoses' have happened in conjunction with a lethal cocktail of narcotics and I rather loathe the FDA and kratom vendor witch-hunts. It's why we have to talk about candles on MeWe, and who knows, maybe someday here. It freaks me the frack out.WhiteAngelica wrote: βSat May 29, 2021 3:32 pm They didn't have a salmonella issue. Some dumbass kid overdosed on like, 20 different drugs and he happened to have some SoCal around that he was taking as well. When someone dies of any overdose, they count each drug or substance separately for an OD. This kid's parents were all over the news, yapping about how kratom killed their sweet innocent boy. They said the bags had no serving instructions on them, and I believe there was some kind of lawsuit. Perhaps it was dropped. All I know is that kratom has a built in mechanism that prevents OD's calles 'the Wobbles' and probably barf. The kid died from heroin and meth and crack, uppers, downers and candy corn. Grieving parents searching for a target found one, and hurt the whole kratom community in the process: not the fault of SoCal.
As far as the Salmonella incidents, one of the vendors was Herbal Salvation, now Viable Solutions. There is a Herbal Salvation kratom company out if Ireland that is suing Viable Options, which is ridiculous, but whatever.
SoCal/First Coast tea Co. does have a warm place in my heart. They have had fire batches in the past, and you can order 9 1oz packs for like, 25$ with the code. That way, you can sample before springing for a kilo. They can be hit or miss, but when they hit, they hit hard.
Anyone remember the crazy batches of Ref Bali they kept having a few years ago? Most of us who were around then would have wrestled an alligator in a mudpit for that fire. Fire is fire, so if OP endorses some fire First Coast strains, I'll give them a shot. 5$ an ounce? Sounds good. There is fire kratom all over the place and I don't want to miss out on an opportunity from an OG vendor.
Then again, I'm acting like I have money or something. But I do want to try their stuff--especially what you've endorsed, OP!
I am always worried whole internet might get censored soon, i see gooogle and bing patrolling this forum?? I wonder if there is a way to block them to prevent future sensors, i dont know. But socal is very MISS or HIT but most part many time its just ok kratom, not many fires. I still have some socal i put away and most likely will never dip into them. perhaps can be give away in those who need it most.WhiteAngelica wrote: βSat May 29, 2021 3:36 pmSorry if I was disrespectful of the kid who overdosed, but my ire was aimed more at the parents. This is a concern for me, too. Like right now, it says I am logged in, and there are two guests. I have noticed 'Bingbot' signed in, or present as well. Is the community locked? Or can someone Google something about k-tom and it leads them to here?brave777 wrote: βSun May 30, 2021 2:05 amI am always worried whole internet might get censored soon, i see gooogle and bing patrolling this forum??
