Preparing Kratom Tea

Looking for step by step instructions to make a strong kratom tea, thanks! Id prefer to skip the freezing process

Found a popular recipe online, and all I can say is wow. I can confidently say that I don't hate my life enough to ever consider digesting that mixture again.

The powder is just too much for my aging digestive system. Even drinking tea that is very carefully filtered, I can't use kratom without also using stimulant laxatives, Miralax, prunes, etc.
If you are young, your body may be able to handle it better.
I brew the tea strong (32 to 64 grams of Kratom to 32 oz of water) so I only have to down a shot glass or two. It's bilious but I have taken far worse tasting herbs from traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda when needed them for some health condition.

hitting good points there, first a properly brewed Kratom Tea tastes great . because you use flavored citric acid to brew the Tea.. Crystal Light packets.. I like the Peach Mango. Really there's NO need to consume "plain" kratom in any form. And of course "toss" raw powder is for idiots, sounds like we agree on that lol ... I'm in my 60's and for 4+ years have consumed either Red Bubble Tea (with sludge), OR filtered Aeropress Tea with zero sludge. For a long time I thought I needed the muck because it was stronger? Hmm. I guess until some Lab does a testing, compare the 2 methods we won't know for sure?

Aeropress is really a no-brainer for anyone who wants clean, filtered, Tea. . There's just NO other method or device, that will both handle fine powder AND provide high pressure to extract those alkaloids... dude invented Aeropress in the 90's and got a patent.. It's silicone. Unlike a "French Press", You can filter any powder: "Turkish grind" coffee, or nano powder kratom EVEN... that does take some arm strength to use ONLY powder. The solution is? Half N half powder & Crushed Leaf!!

Strong tea, is made by using super high pressure, which only Aeropress delivers through a paper filter... idk pounds per square inch, PSI, its less than a $500 Espresso machine but it's definitely more pressure than any French Press... or any other filter method ?? Think about it, the filtering is the most important part here. Anyone can simmer or boil, a bunch of powder in water & lemon juice or citric acid... its the filtering part. I've read about "use a cheese cloth" or use an old T-shirt, etc.. well you get a wet T-shirt full of your Tea. Does not work! I've tried that.

The 1 limitation, is Aeropress holds just 8 ounces. I get one cup, using same ratio as you - 9 grams kratom/ 8 ounce water. Simmer for 1+ hour. I also add 1 gram of loose leaf Green Tea leaves. I've also used, half a lemon or lime... fruit is not necessary. 1 Crystal Light packet has plenty of citric acid. So the 1 cup of Tea Concentrate, made from 9 grams kratom... gives me 3- 4 servings. Wonder if any of these would be good used for tea, that have the pH needed. I mean some of them are no go’s - I don’t think I’ll be trying Coca Cola tea anytime soon, but there’s some decent ideas on here with low enough pH levels.

@ballzdeep, I hear you on the Crystal Light, but I have genetic kidney and liver disease (both organs are actually working quite well but I'm an anomaly ... already passed average life expectancy for someone living with this disorder).
Aspartame/Acesulfame/etc are ingredients I try to steer clear of. (once in a while, I'll have a diet coke as a treat but coke also contains phosphorus which is super-bad for kidneys).
Anyhow -- presumably your kidneys are fine but if they are not ... bear in mind that while occasional aspartame use isn't likely to do any damage, it is definitely NOT a chemical you want to heat. When you heat aspartame, it becomes dangerous, hence, don't use it in tea. Check out the clinical trials in PubMed. All the adverse effects occurred when aspartame was headed. Some folks think diet sodas should be shipped in refrigerator trucks cause those rigs can get pretty hot (but not as hot as brewing tea!)
If you're trying to avoid sugar and you still want to brew your Kratom with Crystal light, you could make your own dry mix with citric acid, flavorings and erythritol as a sweetener (it's only half as sweet as sugar, but zero calories, zero carbs, so use double). Or, you can use one of the ready made erythritol/monkfruit combinations.
Despite the horrible taste, I don't really mind knocking back shot-glass sized doses (at least at not yet ... I haven't developed significant tolerance. I wouldn't like to taste my shots if they were quadruple strength!)

PS: I am going to check out that press cause the powder looks super dry. I am currently using almost milk bags, then filtering with giant coffee filters. I have two french presses and I have tried using them combined with coffee filters, but they are not as dry as your aeropress.
But the volume does bother me. I actually checked out eBay to see if I could buy a used lab centrifuge but I'm not positive what kind to buy (they are super expensive new but you never know what someone dumps in a hurry ... I could get lucky).
I have an old Acme centrifugal juicer from the 60s ... super powerful ... If I could customize a cloth liner for it, it might work really well. I got it to work perfectly once, cutting and positioning the giant coffee filters, but most of the time they don't stay in place and it makes a huge explosive kratom mess.

me again regarding your aeropress. Which model are you using? I have absolutely no gripping power at all. Why does it take extra strength for powder? isn't it a plunger type of thing? Can I press it down with my foot if I put the aeropress on the floor? My feet and legs are pretty strong. Thanks!
