how do we all feel about the AKA reporting 17 vendors to the FDA who are not part of their program? anyone happen to know which 17 were reported?

The AKA has formally submitted 17reports to the FDA under the AKATruth in Labeling Program identifying firms who are putting kratom consumers at significant risk who are making illegaltherapeutic claims on kratom products that could only be achieved if their products are adulterated,and the FDA has not issued even a single warning letter on any of these reports or taken any enforcement action to shut any of those firms down–all of whom are putting consumers at significant risk and that are clearly violating the FD&C Act.

I'm not super knowledgeable about this but it sounds like a reasonable action for the aka to take. I'd be willing to change my mind if provided with more info though.

There are a lot of people in this business and they do
need done type of regulation. However, not fair if it's just being done because they aren't a part of their group!!! Sounds like typical politics in that case!!!

We all could see where this was headed. The AKA AKA KRATOM MAFIA...
That's why the AKA wins were bittersweet. At first, I feel like they were fighting for us, but now im not so sure. Haven't read the article yet, but will when I get home. Yet we TRUST the FDA? Yeah, not me for one single fucking second.

They lost my respect when they talked about working with the FDA to regulate the industry, yet the smear campaign continues...

I just briefly skimmed the article, but it looks to me like they're targeting the companies who put kratom in gimmicky pills, drinks, etc and then try to sell them at gas stations and such. Basically, the ones who give kratom a bad name with the "natural high" type products.
