Hi, I'm looking for a high quality vendor. Specifically, I'm looking for a vendor who matches the quality control Texas Family Harvest has. I want to be positive I'm not ingesting god knows what with my kratom. Thank you!

A lot of beloved small-batch vendors around here are high quality and I haven't heard of any quality control issues with, for example, MitraMan or Lucky Herbals. LH is accepting applications for members and MM is open to all.

That said, matching TFH is a tall order if only because of their big reputation and the allure of being members-only. But like any leaf, there are some people whose bodies don't like TFH as much as another vendor. TFH has great consistency but is not the end-all be-all. Generally speaking, most of the vendors you'll see mentioned on these forums are trustworthy, and test their products before sale. Read reviews, shoot the vendors an email to talk with them about their product, etc. See who appeals to you.

If you're still worried, though, letting your dose steep in very hot 190-200F water for a few minutes will kill bacteria and whatnot. That's one of the major selling points of making tea, imo.

Look at Ballz' stickied list. Tried and tested vendors.

Great response & to the point - there are LOTS of good quality, small batch, Direct Import vendors out there. By definition, those in USA who have a relationship with Indonesian supplier(s), buying and importing direct. As a consumer, I think #1 you verify that... and from there it's things like: Website, "experience", payment methods, communication, and packaging.. All of those may be more/ less important to You.

There's a lot of Hype in this business, with 200+ "online vendors" including those who operate out of a backpack, lol  .(We used to call 'em backpack sellers lol), I think you CAN check experience, how long has vendor been importing ?? Website, has the vendor invested $ in a business? Does the vendor answer emails, have a Facebook group, or MeWe group, or Email promo List ~ How does vendor communicate with public ?? Do you want, or need, personal Email or a group with reviews, etc ? Do you want or need, professional quality packaging w/ accurate Labels, a Batch # date - Or is a cheap Ziploc bag w/ "Maeng Da" written in sharpie pen in bad handwriting OK ??

We haven't updated the Vendor List, in 6 months because frankly, little has changed for these Top 40 vendors. :P We use a $ for Recommended Top dozen... those dozen all have excellent quality and, continue getting fresh re-stock. ONE top vendor, who checks all these boxes... is Okie Kratom. His group is Facebook, so he doesn't get much Hype here on MM... but a few days ago Don posted on his FB group - he's still imports Direct. In small batches... while some "other" vendors, buy the Wholesale Bulk stuff which comes here in 50 Ton loads. Don is committed, to re-stock fine quality. He's got a nice website. He takes many payments. Okie... and Lucky, MitraMan, STH, THB, are all good. There is not "one" vendor with totally different product... It ALL comes from the same place, basically. The other vendors people have mentioned are really good. But another good small batch vendor I found recently was heaven leaf.
She does everything on mewe so if you want to use her then here is the invite link:

I’ve mostly ordered from Benni but am also looking to add to my rotation. I emailed with STH yesterday and loved the personalized prompt responses. That’s actually why I love Benni so much, too. I refuse to order from vendors who have crappy customer relations. Making my order from STH today and hope to become more active here. Just found this forum recently and it’s been a wealth of info.

Stumbled onto this and FYI Lucky's is NOT taking new members, so I guess that was short lived. Is there any way to get on a list or something? I have to be honest it's a bit frustrating that this whole forum seems to revolve around 3 vendors all of whom are members only in their business model, it almost feels a bit suspicious to be honest, its' just weird. I've literally never seen that even with boutique small batch sellers of stuff like custom electronics boards. They just let you order stuff and if it's backordered, it's backordered, and you get on a wait list. This whole membership concept seems odd. Maybe I'm missing something though.

It's a business decision usually having to do with losing a method of payment and 'new customers' getting them shut down. There's no need for the risk if you have an established sizeable customer base.

Just look at Ballz' list of top 40 vendors, it's stickied to the top of general forum. Lotsa good vendors.

Do keep checking though as Lucky opened up for new members after a few months of being closed out. Likely that they’ll open again.
