Vaccine Kratom Burns
Hello, I remember a post long ago about this. I noticed that the effect from Kratom has been greatly diminished ever since I was vaccinated. I was wondering how long this effect lasts and others experiences. Peace n Love..Ty

Re: Vaccine Kratom Burns
I don't think that there's much scientifically that would explain a correlation between being vaccinated and diminished quality of burns, but maybe somebody here knows more about it than I do. Anecdotally, however, I had no decreased quality in burns after being vaxxed earlier this year.....the reason why I'm quite sure about that is that I'd purchased quite a few new batches of kratom at that time, and actually had some of the best burns that I'd had in months (after my second vax). That continued for a couple of weeks and then my burns were just fine, no more no less.
Are there other factors that might be affecting your burns at this time? Maybe tolerance issues or using the same strains too often? That kind of thing? Hope you get it sorted out.

I got some friends who cant feel it as well alter vaccination. No one knows how long that will last. People who feel it usually got a ifferent batch or lot number vaccine batch. Not all are ade the same, there for thats why they never put batch # or lot number # of vaccines on paper. Try ti get it. you wont.I would take a week off, and try again, if still dont feel it try taking a month off.

Pfizer here, and after the 2nd shot the kratom seemed weaker, but that's most likely because I felt pretty crappy overall. In reality, I don't think there was any difference at all, and for sure there wasn't after my first shot. A few hours after the first shot I had some kratom and it seemed 100% normal, the shot did not change it's effect(s) in any way for me.

My husband and daughter both recieved Pfizer, and they have batch numbers on all of their doses. I just checked their cards. They received them at different locations, months apart. My husband received his fairly early in the year as he was in one of the first eligible groups. My daughter got hers in June.
I asked my family in another State, and all of theirs have batch numbers, too. My Father was the only one in my extended family to receive J & J, and he also has a batch number on his card.
I saw them write the batch number down when I reciebed mine, and saw them do the same for my daughter. A good friend of mine works for the DOH in her area, and was briefly assigned to a vaccine clinic. She said batch numbers are always written on the cards.

I got both of my Moderna shots at a local CVS and both times I was provided with batch #s on my vaccine card. I dont know what makes anyone think they wouldnt be providing & logging batch numbers for every shot given, well except maybe a internet conspiracy theory video

Thanks. I really shouldn't have been so gullible, I know. It just seems like it is an extremely easy theory to debunk. I didn't understand why anyone would believe something that can easily be proven to be real.SanPedroLover wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 11:53 amDont worry about this guy brave777, he is constantly posting delusional nonsense on this forum. For everyone to be in on some sort of faking batch numbers scheme, that would require tens of thousands of people to make it work. I think I may be too pro Science to even allow myself to understand that people really believe in Space Lasers, microchips, shedding, etc.

I got both Moderna shots as well and my card has the batch number as well. As far as burns go, for a couple days after the second shot my burns were pretty much non-existent, but I was also feeling very under-the-weather. Once that reaction passed, my burns were back to normal.
OP I wish I could offer more help here. All I can really say is to take a few days off and see if that helps. I hope it all goes back to normal for you sooner rather than later.

Re: Vaccine Kratom Burns
Hi. I might have some insight into this based on my own issues. I have not been vaxed so that's not my experience. What is- is that I noticed in past years (Daily kratom use for 5+ years), usually during winter months, the body fights off infections from time to time. There's no red light that goes off every time this happens. You can feel perfectly healthy and be having an elevated immune response. It's a good thing. It does however recruit your resources. The ability to feel good-good gets drafted early-on I'm afraid. Meanwhile you may feel normal otherwise.
Getting vaccinated pulls the starter on that engine so it doesn't surprise me at all to hear this. It will come back when your immune system stops going crazy and developing an arsenal to fight off the intruder. How long is anyones guess.
I'm keenly attentive to things like this because of my own chronic health issues that can go nearly forgotten about for a span of time but which can be lethal if I get too flip about it. I"m having a scare right now matter of fact. And it involves confusion among immune cells. hence, I don't want to go starting up a storm because I'm losing blood platelets as it is. (nose bleeds among uglier nasties.) And I been grumpy as f. But my burn this morning, with coffee, some DLPA + 5HTP 4:1 ratio (my own invention and a beauty I must admit) and a small boost after an hour of some Grn Thai and a fast gold+ some ecstatic EDM (music) at a strange hour has me loving life again... Any other 50+ yo's love Deadmau5? lol Yea kratom might lower my platelets but ... quality or quantity.
- maybe there are clever strategies & mixed medicines like this that might help you. Hope you don't get as rough edged as I've been lately.
Some immune responses are different than others.
Certain kinds of immune response can affect ability to feel pleasure, joy, relief maybe etc... it might affect how things hook into receptors? Or maybe it's just the energy needed - These guesses don't sound just right so the mechanism I don't know but I know there is this correlation.

Re: Vaccine Kratom Burns
Yes I posted about this a few months back and I definitely experienced a severe decrease in my burns which lasted approx 2 weeks. Not everyone experiences this, but I certainly was not the only one on here that reported this side effect. I imagine since some react differently to the vaccines there will be varying results, but most that experienced a decrease felt it a little after the first shot, and then a considerable decrease after the second. I felt a little tired for a few days after the second shot, but nothing significant, yet my burns were still affected dramatically. I received the Pfizer btw.

Re: Vaccine Kratom Burns
There's no logical reason for the COVID vaccine to affect one's response to kratom. Nothing in the formula of any of the vaccines can penetrate the blood-brain barrier. The spike protein of the coronavirus (that the vaccines create an immune response to) has nothing in common with mitragynine or any other kratom alkaloid.
I got mine months ago (Pfizer), noticed no affect at all on my kratom doses. I think what some are seeing is an example of the "nocebo" effect (a harmful placebo effect) - it hurts your burns because you think it does.

I do think that state of mind effects burns significantly. Not just regarding vaccines, but in general. As great as a strain may be, in order for it to be really motivating- I have to at least TRY to do something.heme2016 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 8:02 pm There's no logical reason for the COVID vaccine to affect one's response to kratom. Re: Vaccine Kratom Burns
No it wouldn't have anything to do with the blood-brain barrier or the spike protein, but ones ability to feel kratom is notoriously sensitive to the state of their body. A simple cold can diminish the effects tremendously, and that is where I believe this effect from the vaccine possibly stems from, since it effects the body overall in a similar way. Lack of sleep, dehydration, and even poor diet can also lessen the intensity of the burns because the body is left in a weakened state. That being said, I completely agree that there is also a strong correlation with a decrease in effects and a placebo effect. Some of the best burns I've experienced were when I wasn't expecting it, and some of the worst have been when I was, even though it was with a batch that perviously worked incredibly well. So yeah, it's a really weird fucking plant lol. \m/heme2016 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 8:02 pm There's no logical reason for the COVID vaccine to affect one's response to kratom. Been taking kratom once a day for close to a week now and am about to get the Moderna soon. I know this isn't a vaccine thread specifically and i'm definitely not out to spark opinions or politics, but did anyone experience any notable side effects from either the 1st or 2nd vaccine shot?

I had Moderna and had the "Moderna arm" after the first shot (a welt at the injection site that was warm to the touch and maybe a little itchy here and there, nbd) and then the day after the second shot, I felt both cold and hot at the same time like when you have a fever (didn't actually check my temp tho) for a few hours. I know some folks who had Moderna that got away with zero side effects, and some who felt super tired and out of it for a day or two after each shot. My burns were weaker for a couple days after the second shot, but I imagine that was because I felt under the weather; I don't think kratom will hit as well when you're sick as it would on a good day.kwest13 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 12:41 pm Been taking kratom once a day for close to a week now and am about to get the Moderna soon. Very interesting. I've been on the fence about it for a long time, but seeing what's going on in my state (FL) at the moment may push me to get it now. Most family and friends I know are so on the fence about it, the decision changes every day. Yeah, from what i've read today, difference in kratom burns seems to be just temporary if that.Sanbutsushin wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 2:15 pmI had Moderna and had the "Moderna arm" after the first shot (a welt at the injection site that was warm to the touch and maybe a little itchy here and there, nbd) and then the day after the second shot, I felt both cold and hot at the same time like when you have a fever (didn't actually check my temp tho) for a few hours. I had a sore arm for a few days, nothing else after either shot. Wife and daughter had a slight fever and felt tired the next day after the second shot, a bit like a mild cold, but without the runny nose. They were able to get vaccinated on Saturday and felt fine by Monday, so no problem with needing to take a sick day from work.kwest13 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 12:41 pm Been taking kratom once a day for close to a week now and am about to get the Moderna soon. Re: Vaccine Kratom Burns
Did not happen to me to be honest. My tolerance stayed almost exactly the same and my burns have been just as good for the last couple months (got my shot in May). However, they both have effects on the immune system. While this is true, I'm not sure how that would affect the high which is not mediated by the immune system.
