OxyContin Billionaire Granted Patent for Opioid Addiction Treatment

Purdue Pharma has long been criticized for aggressively marketing opioid painkiller OxyContin, which many believe has lead to the current opioid addiction epidemic. And now it seems the company is looking to get in on profits from treatment, too. Richard Sackler, whose family that owns and operates privately held Purdue Pharma, has been granted a patent for opioid painkiller addiction treatment.

Seem like all profits from this new drug should go to Drug Addiction Treatment programs. 8-)

Ethics in Government? Ha Ha. But to just "blame government" for the problem, is silly - A private corporation created the mess, and lied in order to boost their profits, over people's lives.

In 60 days Vote to Flip Congress.

In fact this election MAY be: Vote Democrat OR Lose your Kratom. Congress HAS already broken the kratom issue along party lines

This is so terrible....purdue literally creating a monopoly on the opiate crisis. Contribute to the problem and get lots of money: create a "solution" and get lots of money. I am disgusted.
