Hey MMR! Hope you're well besides this issue, and I just had to chime in and say that one thing about my set-up now is no money of mine goes anywhere near those slimebags. It makes my life seem worthwhile!
I can't see why they just can't fuck on off already. Do these pharma shits want literally ALL the money? Money would be no fun if any one entity had it all. That's bullshit. They are TIRELESSLY wasting time and resources on something that fucking OLD PEOPLE TAKE! (yep, me too!) We aren't looking for a good time. I mean, well...maybe, but kratom doesn't have anything to do with it .
I take kratom to work and put a roof over mine and my daughter's head. Is that not a good reason to consume dried plant life? Well, when then, overlords?

My take on the AKA is a mixed bag. Their KCPA will hurt the market imo but it's better than a ban. I just won't suggest it to a lawmaker... but I sat in on the zoom to see what they want to do- mostly for what I want to do - get the the signal when it's time to tell lawmakers what they might never understand otherwise. Most are not Anti- anything automatically. The information pipeline is loaded with sewage. What they have - Google? Where more misinformation is found of P.1 search results than any other (use something like duckduckgo search that doesn't rely on controversy & ad revenue) There's some funny business going on though bc most of the bill is a copy/paste of WA's schedule 1 with proposal to amend and no meaningful justification beside "in the interest of ..... (what Kind of interest?!) and protection of... {not actual interests of communities or residents- but somebody's interest}. If curious - find a link to the bill in your state.

Lawmakers don't take much time research or any if info is handed to them so memo's from agency's are their ticket to a full lunch hour. Who better than a kratom user to shed some light. Ashamed people don't show up or write emails & they know that. Rats don't talk, they hide. A consumer matters most - to the lawmaker that will lead the room given reason to - They need refreshing Human communication. Not formal. Not crazy but less professional and More Real. Be sure an get an email sent in to whomever signs this stuff so you can just say - these are my options, why I do this, maybe what Id be doing if I didn't have this if anything. We remind them of someone at home that matters. That's what will "break the spell" & wake up ppl that sit in a chair all day being told what to do by the wrong people.

Hello everyone. I'm a Kentucky resident. I have written my legislative representatives, and the sponsor of the bill. I have also informed my local retailers of the proposed ban so they can spread the word.

Like many have expressed here I don't like the AKA KCPA's at all...but it is better than a ban.

Here is an update from the AKA on the proposed ban:

"KENTUCKY BAN BILL UPDATE

The American Kratom Association Senior Fellow on Public Policy, Mac Haddow, and former New York State Senator David Carlucci spent two days working with members of the Kentucky Legislature to educate them on the value of the Kratom Consumer Protection Act as an alternative to the proposed Kratom Ban, HB 142, sponsored by Representative Josh Calloway.

"Representative Calloway was fair, willing to learn, and as committed as the AKA is in protecting consumers from dangerously adulterated kratom products,” Mac Haddow reported. “We have an agreement with Representative Calloway that he will work with the House Health Committee Chair and members of the Committee to examine how the KCPA can better serve the people of Kentucky than a complete ban on kratom.”

Former Senator Carlucci confirmed that there was not broad support for a kratom ban among the legislators they met with, and all were willing to look at the KCPA as the appropriate way to ensure kratom remains legal while protecting unsuspecting consumers from bad-actor kratom vendors who spike their products with dangerous drugs to spike sales.

Kentucky kratom advocates are encouraged to send a thank you message to Representative Calloway at [email protected] and tell him how grateful we are for his willingness to consider supporting the KCPA in Kentucky."

The AKA cannot point to ONE... even ONE example, of a "dangerously adulterated product" sold anywhere in the United States, since 2017. Their big EXAMPLE is 6 years ago by 1 shady vendor in Miami, Florida and the old Krypton case by 1 vendors in Europe. That's been their PROOF of the "adulterated" LIE ??

Yeah ballz I wish the AKA wouldn't try to push the adultered bullshit. It just adds to the misinformation in my opinion. And I also saw that reddit post. If they are going to post something like that they need to at least post who the vendor is. That sub has gotten so bad.

Hey! They were stunned by numbers and strength of the response. I think another factor is the incredible negative feeling people across the political spectrum have about big phrama. We need to continue to monitor the legislative process.
