Traveling out of country

Hey Everyone! So ive been researching in anticipation of an upcoming trip to Ireland, England, and France. As most probably know the legality of K in other countries is a case by case basis. From what I have found it is absolutely not legal in Ireland. Now I am not really interested in turning this into a conversation on smuggling into a foreign country (the whole reason I got into kratom was to grow up and stop breaking the law ) but just curious on how others have handled traveling internationally?

I have already started a taper and am on the fence about bringing a small amount in capsules. If you would rather not post about it feel free to PM me.

I put it in zip locks and brought protein, preworkout, post workout, in zip locks as well it was fine to costa rica.

Another time i was flying in the states and they called homeland security because of my protein on the xray then bomb swabbed it which came back positive for explosives and it was just protein...... and said i was barred from flying. The tsa then called homeland security again they said retest it which came back negative and they said just throw it away and im free to get on the plane. I was 5 minutes from missing boarding it took a long time.


I would avoid powder in baggies cause they might bomb swab it and make it a whole thing.... I would put it in a bottle of greet tea extract capsules personally or if you do bag it they said leave it in the original bag. Since my protein and other powders were in ziplocks out of the original bag they had to test it. If you were to buy green tea match powder and replace it with kratom you would be good to go i bet.

Thanks for the reply. Your recommendation is what i was thinking. Ive been tapering so i dont have to bring a ridiculous amount with me. Luckily i have 3 months to slow taper

If its legal where you are going get some mailed to you put it into your checked bag and don't open the package till you get there. That's what I will be doing when I fly to florida.

Looks like you’re safe in England and France as long as you don’t try to buy or sell it there. Possession appears to be legal but anything else is considered trafficking. This information may have changed since the list was compiled, so be sure to do some research or even call an embassy to ask.

And yes, it is indeed entirely illegal in Ireland. Don’t bring it into the country. The last thing you want to find yourself in is a foreign jail. Remember when traveling, you are bound by the laws of the country you are in.

I had something similar happen when I tried to fly with some of an endurance fuel, Tailwind. Said it was so “energy dense” it let popping for an explosive until the bomb tester at DIA ran it through his test. Still had to throw it out. Bizarre.
