First Time Making Tea
Hey guys, made my first ever test batch of tea last night. Then I made 32oz (as pictured) to chill overnight and have iced tea in the morning. Super proud of the way it turned out and wanted to share.

Re: First Time Making Tea
Looks good !!
. How much Kratom used to make 1 Quart Tea ? Looks pretty clear you must have squeezed a nut bag or cheesecloth to Filter ?
FOr comparison, my standard Tea = 10 grams Kratom, in Aeropress. Big issue with Aeropress only holds like 10 ounces liquid. I cook or simmer, the 10 grams w/ some acid and flavoring, for upto 1 Hour. Aeropress silicone press and paper filter, then makes a strong Tea @ under 10 ounces... So a Quart 32 ounce I'd start with at least 30 grams Kratom ? Crushed Leaf is good half n half with powder.

Looks awesome, do u have a detailed way on how I can make this? Also if you have a powder that just doesn’t seem to hit can this be a viable option?

I've tried it in the Aeropress, but I can never get it right. It's mainly the plunge that's the issue for me.BallzDeep9 wrote: ↑Tue May 31, 2022 2:49 pm Looks good !!. How much Kratom used to make 1 Quart Tea ? Looks pretty clear you must have squeezed a nut bag or cheesecloth to Filter ?

My normal dose is only 1.1-1.4gish every few hours, so I wanted to start small. I used 12g of Kratom and 4.5 cups of water. That honestly might've been too much. I didn't know how effective the tea was going to be, so might step it down to 8g tomorrow.
You can find the original recipe below. It took me a second to realize you actually have to click on the pictures to view the steps.

EDIT: I used a tri-fold layer of paper towel to filter, but the OP of the recipe said you can use an old shirt too. I actually just put all this in my Stagg EKG Kettle (seen in photo). I was worried the Kratom would get stuck in the pour tube, but it worked great.

Re: First Time Making Tea
I don't see this making powder stronger tbh, but you could probably just have some Kratom tea on tap as a booster if needed.
I followed the below recipe. You have to click on the pictures to actually read the steps. In short, heat water to 75 C, pour in Kratom, stir, pour in lemon juice and honey, stir, simmer, strain.

How do you notice the effect of tea vs ingesting powder raw or in cold drinks? Faster but shorter?

It hits faster, it has to. My experience is 5 years juicing vegetables and fruits. Liquid is like 10x the bioavailability of plant fiber. If you juice, you can actually get a small rush from fruitsTrippyhippydippy wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 10:00 pm How do you notice the effect of tea vs ingesting powder raw or in cold drinks? Faster but shorter was always my experience just curious if others feel it holds strong as long as consuming raw materialTotomman wrote: ↑Sun Jun 05, 2022 8:22 amIt hits faster, it has to. I actually juice 8 grape fruits piles of ginger and turmeric often to enhance my kratom... Grapefruit juice is a potentator helps cross blood brain barrier efficiently. Same with black seed oil but the fruit juices def make you feel healthy and give a good buzz.Totomman wrote: ↑Sun Jun 05, 2022 8:22 amIt hits faster, it has to.
