Best time of year for Kratom?

Post by 9sam1 »

When do the best batches typically pop up? I know some months seems better to me and with it being a plant I imagine there is a particular season for Kratom right?

Oh wow! Any suggestions of good leaf you've gotten recently?

Lucky's usually hits great for me but I was left a little disappointed by the order I placed in June, so looking to see if there are any other vendors with good product right now.

Right now for non-membership vendors it's almost impossible to beat Okie's. They have some killer stuff and sell the cheapest, to boot.

Best time can be any time. There is no way knowing how long it was picked off the tree to your vendor... If you watched the whole process from start to finish, you would know.. which will never happen because of so many middle mans. It could be July summer and leaf coould be 2 years old picked in the worse time possible season wise and weather. maybe thats why some still tasting kratom burnt. Best bet by word and hope the batch is exactly as described. Even then the batch can have same name but quality changed to bad and your review was pointless. If can go for samples and as soon as you like it, dont hesitate and order some right away and hope it is actually same batch sample...

The deceptively simple answer is, when the dry season harvest is available from your vendor. Consider that ship times are more staggered accd. to some vendors. Many taking long time.

Exerpts from personal experience occurring different times:
Worst accd to conventional wisdom: Winter - true gems have been for sale in December. The best luck I've had with whites came mid winter but I wouldn't urge you to
wait until winter to get your fast & slow whites. I'd say do it when you feel like it.

Last summer - Late, (it takes time to go from branch to branded bag) Was the first time I concentrated end of July through Sept and did pretty well.
But that was not this year and this year has been unusual accd to what I've read
Later I read that some felt they'd had terrible luck through the summer last year. So...

I started earlier this year and results are staggered- is it season related?. See for yourself:

- June- the little guy, pvt group Excellent Love 4 out of 6, made something great w/ #5 & almost achieved that w #6
- Late June STH just bc my acct. has been cold for 3 years. Good, a fast productive, a fast-mod that's a bit U4ic , 2 slow quite relieving greens but pretty similar. All useful & satisfying for what they do.
- July (recent) what the hype crowd & fire chasers carried on about (other site mostly) This broke my mojo - 1 is still the Worst I've had thus far so maybe it's dry season starts in August!

If you try too hard it might translate like this: Maybe we get dry season leaf up until end of June. Starts over in August. Skip July.
But climate varies by year, location...
Here's another way to see it accd to this page:
https://indonesiaexpat.id/news/when-wil ... son-start/

From a total of 342 seasonal zones in Indonesia, the following is the forecast for the dry season this year:

A total of 29.8 percent of seasonal zones will enter the dry season in April, covering the season zones in Nusa Tenggara, Bali, and parts of Java.
22.8 percent of seasonal zones will experience the dry season in May, covering parts of Bali, Java, parts of Sumatra, parts of Kalimantan, Maluku, and parts of Papua.
Another 23.7 percent of seasonal zones will experience dry season in June.

In more detail, as much as 47.7 percent of seasonal zones will enter the dry season later than normal. A total of 26.3 percent of seasonal zones will enter the dry season at the normal time, while as many as 26 percent of seasonal zones will enter the dry season earlier than normal.

The areas that will experience the dry season earlier include parts of Sumatra, parts of Java, southern Kalimantan, parts of Bali, parts of Nusa Tenggara, Maluku, and eastern Papua.

So which part of the parcel is yours coming from?
