I have drank yerba mate tea but never smoked it. The tea is great and gives good energy.Trippyhippydippy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 05, 2022 11:46 am Im new to yerba mate but my friend claims the smoked yerba mate in his town madison wi from a local shop hits 10x harder than the other bags of yerba you seel in usual stores. Smoked Mate means that they smoke the leaves over hardwood, giving them a smoky flavor when you brew it. It doesnt mean smoking the leaves as method of ingestion. I thought the same thing too when I first heard the term.terposton wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 11:05 pmI have drank yerba mate tea but never smoked it. I was steeping Yerba mate for awhile and bought a huge bag on Amazon I haven't opened yet. It's not as stimulating as I expected and it steeps very mild, I like strong tea, but it's supposed to be good for you except if it's smoked, can be harmful to the liver if drinking the smoked leaf tea long-term. I also have kratom crushed leaf, a sample pack of YLYL blended teas and some mulungu I need to try. I've been drinking black Chai tea so behind on my brewing the other stuff but Yerba mate is good, also comes in cans with flavoring added like iced tea.

had same idea, thought was inhaled until just now. I drank a bottle of tea and the taste was very offputting.terposton wrote: ↑Fri Aug 12, 2022 3:56 pmThanks for clarifying.
