Revisiting vendors/batches

I know this has been mentioned a TON in various threads, but I'm not sure there has been a thread devoted to this (or if there is one it's been over a year). So I thought I'd start one.

The conventional wisdom is to rotate your batches, never taking the same one too often. The number I heard was not more than once every three days but I know a lot of folks do it more often without issues. The other conventional wisdom is to rotate vendors, which almost guarantees a very different experience (the odds that a vendor would use the same batch AND call it the same as another vendor is pretty low).

Given all that I've gotten into bad habits recently, mostly because of TFH and the huge order I placed, of using only one or two of the same vendors. I still rotate among their strains, but that means that I don't often visit a particular strain and today I tried Sakti's red and... wow. It hit harder than I ever remember it doing.

It's now my new favorite but... I doubt whether taking it again would have the same effect. I just hadn't taken anything at all from Sakti for about a month and I'm so glad I just followed my rotation and did this one today.

I tend to rotate, with at least 7 days before taking l the same strain again - unless it’s too good to resist

Which batch was that Sakti red? I have a 1oz sample of #110, but refrained from trying it out since it has only 0.77% mit

I used to be a big believer in the daily rotation and never taking the same strain more than a couple days in a row. But, honestly, sometimes I find a strain I REALLY enjoy and take it every day for weeks and it's been fine. These days, I honestly feel it depends more on a dedicated schedule of tolerance breaks rather than a strict rotation of your stash. Not saying that rotation isn't worthwhile -- it definitely is. But at the end of the day, any batch of kratom is still going to be kratom consisting of the same basic alkaloids.

This. Exactly. Over my tenure of usage, I've mainly followed the strict rotation suggestions. Never taking the same strain more than once in a period of 5+days or more. However I hit lulls in my usage where I get next to no effects for brief periods regardless of what I'm taking and when. So I blame tolerance for that, nothing else.

In addition, whenever I go on vacation or a away from my Kratom Vault for awhile, I always only bring like 1/2 bags in total and just use those exclusively for however long I'm gone. And believe it or not... those bags from different vendors, batches, strains etc...work basically everyday for every use.

I like rotating and giving strains that dont hit well some rest before coming back to them. I dont have a grand system just more a feel. Maybe having a vendor rotation secretly reinforces my aggressive buying behavior.

I keep all my bags of Kratom close together, so that hopefully they'll realize it's a competition for which I'll choose next, and the stress of that will compel them to summon forth an increase in their potency.

But seriously, while it's partly psychological, I like rotating for being able to tell myself that the moment is now right for this or that particular variety of Kratom.

Most kratom seems about the same to me, so rotating batches/vendors is no big deal. I have gone back and found a few that I thought were duds, that were actually o.k., but for the most part it either does something or it doesn't. Do I feel better (in any way at all) after having it ? O.k., put it in rotation, it's good enough. If it turns out it lasts longer than usual, then bonus, but those are rare, and it's still just going into rotation. The -only- thing I purposely alter the rotation for is reds (not in the morning) and whites (not in the evening) and even that is probably just superstition ha-ha. If the next bag up is a red, but there's a white behind it, then I just swap those 2 and get on with my day, cause in the rotation it's already been a week+ since I had either.

Usually kratom produces a different stimulant effect, if you try it today is good, tomorrow is not necessarily, this is a difference in body condition when taking it
