BSO, Cats Claw, and agmatine for a t-break

Post by Greenmonster »

Hello!

I’m gearing up for a t break at the end of this month. My goal is to take a 14-day break. In paat attempts in the last year I only make it 4 days before I dose again.

My physical symptoms are usually mild but enough to be uncomfortable: chills, cold sweats, histamine response, restlessness, and stomach upset. I’m always able to function and do what needs to be done throughout my day, but I’m not at my best. Where I struggle the most is the mental part of it. I psych myself out and as soon as I have mild discomfort my brain tells me I won’t make the 14 days, and then it becomes self-fulfilling and I don’t!

Anyway, in preparation for this time, I’ve cut my daily doses in half following the less-is-more philosophy and had zero discomfort and in fact better effects from my doses. I also got Chinese cats claw and BSO, and I already have agmatine. I also take magnesium at night during breaks and it stops any RLS.

Can folks chime in on how/when to use those three to alleviate discomfort and maybe actually finish my whole break for once? I’m confused when I should take them throughout the day, and at what quantities.

Any input or experience would be appreciated. Thank you!

Since you ask, there's some real evidence to show that any more than three days off probably won't do any more to help. IOW, a three or four day break is probably enough assuming your doses are low enough (no more than 9 gpd). And it's a much more reasonable goal to achieve.

I think you’re probably right, as my last break a couple of months ago was four days and my first few burns afterwards were quite good but then quickly went back to pre-break feeling. I’ve been poking around online and it seems like a general (anecdotal) consensus is that two weeks provides an almost complete reset of the receptors. My goal for the break is to get the magic back. My use is 8g per day so it’s not because my doses are unmanageable, I just really want that old magic back.

A couple of years ago I took two months off and when I started dosing again it was like the honeymoon phase all over again. I’m not trying to go that long again, though.

Yes it did! I got about six months of second honeymoon after taking that extended break. I highly recommend it if you can manage it, it was totally worth it.

This time I just want a mini honeymoon 😂

I only point this out because if we are talking about a "honeymoon" phase where everything hits and hits well I'm in about six months now and I did nothing other than change my eating patterns.

So there are lots of ways of defurring this feline, some involving no breaks at all.

Kelly I saw you mention that you made a post about the change in your eating habits, can you point me in the direction of that one? I’m very interested in trying anything else that may be beneficial.

As the years have gone by I’ve felt much less inclined to take breaks but I put an amount of pressure on myself that I have to take them and I’m not even sure why I got into this way of thinking.

I'm sure if you just search my name and posts made BY me (started by me) you'll find that thread (just remember there are two "e"s in my name - Kelleytoons).

But in essence in the past I always took my kratom on an empty stomach but usually I'd just wait two or three hours after eating. I started taking the kratom BEFORE I ate (about 30 minutes before) and suddenly everything started working wonderfully (that was not a conscious choice - our daughter moved back in with us and that changed our entire schedules. It just so happened that when kratom started hitting again I backtracked to try and figure out what was different and that seems to be the only difference. Although now I consciously try and do it instead of just by chance).

I'm not even saying this will work for everyone, but it seems to be the trick for me - so I abide by the four rules, always: 1) Lower doses (never more than 3 grams and usually less), 2) Regular BMs (bowels always empty), 3) Empty stomach but eat 30 minutes after dosing, and 4) Rotate vendors with not using the same batch more than once a week or so (for me it's once a month since my rotation is around 80+). You could also add 5) Take kratom with acid drink (for me, Propel) but while it's something I always do I'm not sure it makes that much of a difference.

You're on to something with the eating thing. Hormones are created in the gut. Food triggers the digestive process which sends the "good stuff" to the brain and the rest of the body.

Hormones are created in the gut? Wha? I just did some research and some gut bacteria can help create neurohormones or neurotransmitters. What a mystery it all is

They are finding a link to depression. The stomach produces serotonin and has a decision in regulation.

It makes me think of Kurt Cobain and his stomach ailments.

It also aligns with Ballz and Kelleys completely preposterous idea about bowel blockage and feeling your burn. They are not connected, boys!!

So, the next time you are shitting something wicked and it feels like it is coming from much deeper than it should... it is.
