TFH Ultra Indo XO 44 - my take

I thought I'd post this as a separate review thread because, honestly, I have not had kratom hit me this hard for many years now.

Like most of you, I normally dose a few times a day, with many varied batches of various types (reds, yellows, greens and whites). My dose varies but usually averages 2.5 grams. For this batch (which I just made into capsules today) I dosed at almost exactly 2 grams (my capsules are pretty damn close to half a gram each, subtracting the capsule weight - I can stuff half a gram of TFH into them because it compacts very well, unlike a lot of kratom where I'm lucky sometimes to even get .3 grams in. But I ALWAYS measure my capsules I'm taking and subtract the weight of each capsule, which is .1 gram).

I'm SO glad I didn't dose more - this is the FIRST time in many, many years that I actually got dizzy. I was completely surprised - haven't had anything hit that strong and I'm thinking in the future I'll lower it one capsule (to 1.5). This is superb stuff - where I've rated things as a 10 (out of 10) before, this is the old joke that it goes to 11 (or even higher).

Now - you never know about repeated doses, and because I NEVER dose the same batch more than once every two or three days it will be a while before I know for sure. But right now I'm ranking this as the best kratom I've ever had, over 50 different batches from TFH, another 50 (or more) from Denette, and then at least 50-80 more from various vendors listed here (I don't think there's a major vendor I haven't sampled). I'm SO glad I got 500 grams of this (normally 250 is all I ever use of ANY batch). Indeed, now I'm actually thinking of ordering more as I for sure never want to run out of this (the drawback is with my lifespan I only have so much time to use any kratom, and I literally have all the kratom I need to last the remaining years. Still, another 500 grams of this might be a wise thing to do just to be absolutely positive).

Do NOT sleep on this one (as a rule TFH isn't a problem with missing out, but this might prove to be the exception).

Daytime red for me HH! But strong, so it can be a bit sedating at my normal dose, but when I use a slightly lower dose size its a great anytime red for me but does have energy to it

And now I'm ordering a kilo of it even though I ordered 750 grams just a week ago hahaha

Yeah, Daytime Red seems a good explanation. Again, I would start LOW on your initial doses. It's important to always chant "less is more" (LOL) but in this case it's REALLY important. I wouldn't start with anything more than 2 grams no matter WHAT your normal dose is (and I think even 1 gram would be just fine).

I will try again in a few days but, yes, I'll most likely end up ordering more (sigh - I swore I wouldn't buy any more for a while).

Well, I don't know your particular tolerance - as I said, my normal dose is around 2.5 and I dosed at 2 grams and it was too much. But whether taking a quarter of a gram less than YOUR normal dose would mean much is unclear.

I should clarify it wasn't BAD - it was just VERY powerful and caught me off guard. Would I dose again at 2 grams? Possibly - but I do think I'll lower it by .5 next time.

(Oh, and I went ahead and ordered another kilo. I do think this is going to end up being the Unicorn batch that everyone will remember for many years to come).

I would say mid - normally I take my reds at night but honestly I would categorize this more as a green.

Now - having said that - this morning on my birthday I treated myself to another dose (normally I wait at least three days between batches and this was only one) and at 1.5 grams it's ALREADY taking effect (and I dose capsules). Honestly, this one is unmissable.

The taste of Ultra Indo is actually reminiscent of a 7ohm extract. This leaf was processed and cured to perfection. Should be named Ultra Sumatra Indo lol.

I was coming home from town and the gym and saw the mail truck about a quarter mile from my house so I stopped and blocked
him in. He had my packages right next to him ready to go. I'll know in about 15 minutes how this hits.

Edit: Oh my, this is very nice indeed. Immediate mood boost. Maybe I need more. lol

Edit 2: I might have to put a couple of my Crown Jewels on the Trading Post and get a couple more of these. The second dose hit even better than the first.

Glad you like it as much as some of us do. This one is truly a classic - so much so that (for me) I've ordered WAY too much (but, heck, YOLO. Right?)

It's good at my normal low dose. I could definitely see where you'd probably want to cut down a little at higher doses though.

I'm seriously considering a second kilo.

It's definitely mid, but it's a bit heavy at once. Like you have
some energy but a bit of couchlock at the same time.

I finally got around to trying this one out, and WOW! It certainly lives up to the hype. It gives me a warm, mellow feeling with a really nice amount of euphoria and pain relief. Excellent quality!

I had a similar experience / feeling to what you describe with the TFH Wild Red Nanga from 2022......it would start as sort of the perfect day red - very potent and mid, but pretty quickly morph into something that bordered on sedating for me. And the same exact thing has happened every time I've used it. Great batch, but one would have to be up for that kind of experience.

Totally looking forward to the ultra; I'm going to order now!

I'd say it's safe to assume that if a batch dose that, lower your dose next time because it's so potent. It's a mental thing to overcome taking less, that you'll get more out of it considering xyz batch you've been dosing hits a certain way, I get it lol. Have to remind ourselves that not all batches have the same amount of alkaloids. The best way to approach it is start small, and if it doesn't hit, then follow up with a little more (but not higher than your normal serving size) that way you can gauge each batch and can identify the quality. I believe TFH's quality has many more alkaloids in it's leaf, that are still unknown, compared to most other vendors.
