I had to create this thread to not Only say I actually spent the money to grab some of that “fire” Red Bali Lot # - RB030119
But I got my order delivered
In under 24 hrs!

I live in NH.
They’re in Cali.

FedEx 2Day air and in under 22 hrs only about-ish got my package!

I ended up doing Sample9 w/
(6) Red Bali’s
(2) White Cambodian’s
& (1) White Horn


Happy Friday every1 and for the price I paid and got phenomenal service,

I checked a few days ago. MANY opinions that' the Green Zareena is better, the Red Bali is just OK.. etc etc. I mean the HYPE is only deserved, if everyone agrees. When many customers DON'T agree, then... it's probably just "Good Average Red Bali"

I have found the Red Bali to be very, very potent. The first two times, I took my regular dose and both times I got the wobbles. I halved my usual dose and it was great. I got 250g, sampled it, and immediately turned around and ordered another (it arrived lightning fast). It is the most potent kratom I've had in a long, long time. I give it an A+ and Smiley's new stuff, A/A+. Little can beat the potency of this stuff. To give perspective, I ordered an ounce of Red Samarinda with my order and it did not compare.

Funny how some don't like the Red Bali as reported by Balz. Thats very interesting because there is this paradoxical nature to Kratom. Some people report that they just dont experience at all what others love about a strain . I've seen this a lot with reds. Some people just dont get reds.

It is a green red. Unfermented. The closest thing I have to this is the KOG Green Malawi. Curious what other specific vendor strain do you guys think the SoCal Red Bali compares to?

I don’t know about the people saying that the Green Z is better. I got a quarter of both in my last split kilo order. The Green Z does really nothing for me (and I LOVE my greens). Kind of like most of the SoCal stuff I got last year. I’ll revisit it later, but I tried it twice (both times first burn of the day) and nada. The Red Bali on the other hand hits me like a hammer - even the 3rd burn of the day. I’ve ordered several times from SoCal and to be honest, none of it really worked for me until the January batch of Red Cambodian - and nothing else has worked for me but the White Cambo and this batch of Red Bali. The White Cambo is just now growing on me. My first couple burns with it were a little disappointing, but I’ve found in the right blend, it’s actually pretty good. I’ve tried the Red Bali about 5 times and every time it has done me right. I think I’ve purchased around 27 or so reds in 2019 from 6 different vendors and this is possibly the best red I have bought in 2019.

Also wanted to say- just because this is one of MY favorite reds this year doesn’t mean it’s going to be anyone else’s. There’s been leaf that I thought was stellar that no one else really peeped about. There’s also been leaf that got a ton of great reviews (and of course I’m going to chase that one, right?) that did pretty much zilch for me. So my philosophy is: the members of this forum that seem to like the same strains I do - I’m usually gonna purchase a strain they post a good review on. Some of those members guided my purchases way before Double M ever came to be. I lurked on Reddit and Double M for a long time before I ever joined. I used to love some of the hilarious reviews on vendor’s websites. RVA was one of my favorite places to read “reviews”. I wish JFish hadn’t cleared them, but I’m sure he had good reason. Point is, I don’t know if there will ever be a strain that gets a unanimous “FIRE” rating. (And if there was one, I’d be the poor sombitch that it did nothing for)

Yeah. SoCal's always had a top quality Red Bali. The question IS, whether "this batch" IS truly exceptional.. OR just their usual GOOD batch of Red Bali. I'm just not seeing much excitement on FB, compared to last year's June batch. I checked again today. Ho Hum.

Let's backtrack, their Red Bali from 1 year ago was just pretty good. Then in June 2018 they had a really outstanding batch! Word got around.. I grabbed a bunch. Justin posted on FB "Something's going on with this Red Bali". Yep. something is RIGHT - pretty much everyone agreed it's some of the best KRATOM of the entire Year. Not just SoCal kratom.. but ANY kratom. The DG snobs were saying, it's better than DG's Premium.. on and on. June 2018 became, a legend and it SOLD OUT within a few days.

June Sold Out, the new batch 2 months later was August 2018. It was also VERY strong, maybe a bit slower, a bit more "Red feeling", and those who like slow sleepy kratom declared it the. BEST. Kratom. Ever. Again.. the August batch sold out quickly.

NEW batch! Oct Nov 2018, Everyone jumped, by now the HYPE was out of control!! Except... this batch was NOT as good, as June or August. But, SoCal ordered 1000's of Kilos and it sold out again very fast. Then... buyers all realized, hmmm, it's pretty good average Red Bali...

So that's where we are... Sure it's good. But how good? It's been there for.. 1 Month ?? Its definitely not selling out this time. But maybe they ordered 5000 Kilos? Which is... Not good for quality ? Time will tell I guess - I would def order the White Cambo & White Horn too.

EDIT: I'd sure trust our Reviews, here on Double MM - sure SoCal has a large Group there but if Payshince & White Angelica & others are sayin' its fire then I tend to believe you guys!! ( But how does it compare to Smiley's Red Bali? )

To bad we cant get a scientific analysis of alkaloids and whatnot in this strain and objectify it. That would be nice. But were stuck with the subjectivity and bias. I don't know how good it really is relatively speaking. I've been looking for a good "green red" with the classic "Red Bali" vibe (which of course is my own internal construct, lol) and can't find much to compare to it right now. Of course its not easy to systematically try whats out there without going broke and bunkers. There are plenty of good heavy reds out there. And there are good whites and greens but not green reds so I grabbed up quite a bit of this. Maybe when the seasons change this will appear average. But right now with my own difficulty in finding anything like it its hard to imagine anything better

Don't have the White Horn, but the White Cambo, for me, is very middle of the road, very comfortable, no nervousness or anxiety with mild mood lift, but we all know how different it can be for different people. The only white I've had that really got me goin' was Treasure House's White Elephant. That's the only white I've had that needed taming.

Okay, how's this??? I have the 030119 batch, ordered 3/06/19. Broke it open at 8:45 this p.m.
...burned 3.5 grams. I was due for my evening burn anyway, so I thought WTH, may as well
treat myself.

Upper back, shoulder and neck pain were nagging the hell out of me. It's 9:02 right now and
I'm comfortable, oh yes, very comfortable. Nice mood boost, not really sedating but chill with
a nice even warmth. It actually is a little breathtaking, if you know what I mean. I can honestly
say that I'm very satisfied with this Red Bali. Very clean, chilled out burn. Definitely a keeper!

I got the last 2 batches of Red Bali from Smiley. I love his leaf and I make probably 4 or 5 Smiley Time orders to every SoCal one. Man, Smiley has the Greens!!!! But the last 2 Red Balis from Smiley can’t compete with SoCal’s current. The only Vendor’s RB I have had that was even close was Inland’s in November.

A while back I made a post here about the Red Bali from SoCal. Basically I was asking if the current batch 030119 was the original Red Bali from last summer. To me this is the best Red of the year right next to Smiley’s Red Bali. Idc what there Facebook group says the opinions that I get from you guys are way more important. I’d say 80% of the time the recommendations I get from Double M are spot on. I’m burning 3g of Red Bali blended with 1.5g of the White Cambodian both from SoCal. Very Blissful!

This is only what people are saying to me, reports of STH Red Bali actually being better, from what we have heard from several people, and this is not what im saying, just what I'm hearing. It's a very close call to me. I've tried both, Both are fire, and is nice to have this quality for this time of year, that's for sure. And for us to even be in the same ball park with theirs is huge for us... I am really happy with what we're offering and will continue to raise the bar Cheers friend, really appreciate the love and support!

Damn, youz guyz is makin' me crack open all of my reserve stash. Anyway, after scanning this thread, I dug out and opened my Smiley Time's Red Bali...received it 3/21/19. As far as I can tell there's no batch number. I always bag my shipments (by vendor) in 2 gallon bags when I receive them and place a 1x2 in. piece of paper inside indicating the date received. Last night I tested the Red Bali from Socal. It was pretty darn good...potent, chilled and not very sedating with a nice warmth, good pain relief. Well, at 3:45 P.M. today, after reading this post, I was about ready for my 4:00 burn and had the same thought, "WTH! Soooo, I did the same exact burn (3.5 grams) of Smiley's Red Bali and, in all honesty, I'd have to say Smiley's, to me anyway, is definitely a bit more potent....it burns hotter with a bit more mood boost than Socal's and it has a little sedation, but not too much! Don't get me wrong, the Socal R.Bali was excellent but I find Smiley's to be a little more breathtaking than the Socal burn last night and the pain relief came on even quicker than Socal's. If I were to rate them, I'd give Socal's Red Bali, uh, probably around 7-7.5/10 and Mr.Smiley's a solid 8/10! I'm hard pressed to give 9 and 10 ratings for anyone's leaf, but I consider anything that's a 7 or better to be pretty outstanding. I'll likely order another 150 gram bag of Smiley's in a split to back up the one I have now. (I hate to be redundant, but this is just my take on it and everyone knows the subjective nature of this stuff!)

Really! Better than SoCal in your opinion. Wow. I'm surprised cause amidst all the strongly praised strains nobody even mentioned Mr S's RB as something special. Could be a lot of factors explaining this. I bought shitload of SoCal.
Green Reds are subtle sometimes. InstantKarma has standards so I went ahead and ordered some just to see for myself, lol. Thanks Mr Smiley and Instantkarma!

I’m burning Smiley’s Red Bali 031419 batch tonight figuring maybe I was being unfair last night. And I was. It definitely competes. Red Bali is a strain i get from every vendor I try. Hell, I think I’ve got around 16 of them if my memory serves me right. I actually have 4 different batches from Smiley. They (SoCals and Smiley’s) are both very good. I did post several days ago that the last batch from Smiley was very good (especially mixed with his Yellow Vietnam ). My apologies for my remarks in my previous post. I definitely meant no disrespect. I’m just glad I’ve got both of these fine Red Bali’s. Smiley Time is definitely my go-to vendor if I have one.

Hey, what's to apologize for??? We all know the fickle nature of our metabolism, chemical
make-up and, of course, the leaf! I'd like to have a dollar for every time that's happened. I
mentioned this on another thread...I snagged some of BB's Wild Green late summer, early fall
and it didn't do anything...nothin', nada, zilch! I put it away for a few months and Yahtzee! That
stuff was amazing...great mood boost, nice CLEAN even energy, just a great all around green strain.
I've been waiting for it's return cuz I only did the 100 g. bag! I've had a few that did nothing
and the next day tried again and WTF...I shoulda bought more!

I've had others that were kick-ass for a while and then nothing......put 'em aside, went back later,
and...BINGO...back in the saddle again! WTF, RIGHT???

Had a kick ass red blend and several bourbons. I enjoyed my Red Bali from Smiley earlier but I think I’m gonna have one more burn for this fine Saturday night. Trying to decide between Liza’s Red Zombie, Kraydo’s Red Jongkong or Smiley’s Red Vietnam.
Oh, and BB’s Wild Green has always been one of my favorite greens.

I can't speak for Liza's Red Zombie but it's one I definitely want to try. Smiley's Red Vietnam is very good but the Vietnam strains always treat me well for some reason. I burned Kraydo's Red Jongkong earlier this evening and, for me, it's seriously hot.

And I just luvz a good bourbon/whiskey or a single malt scotch...no blended scotch, it has to be a good single malt! Been on a hiatus from those for the last six months! Been on a health kick!

Precisely! I just can't figure this stuff out, and I don't believe anybody else can either! I was on a PMD "bender" for a while, BB's lot 12 & 14 and RVA's 1 & 2, then, all of the sudden they ALL went "meh!" I had to lay off of them for several months before I was able to get that sweet PMD effect back again. For a while I was supremely bummed cuz I have nearly 6½ kilo's of their PMD!

If you have any of Kraydo's R.JongKong, I'd definitely recommend stashing it for a good while and revisit it at a later date. It's been fire for me! I have a list of strains that didn't do it for me at first, so I threw them in the closet and came back to them later not expecting much and was shocked at how effective they were....and, for some reason, the Horned leaf varieties and Maeng Da's just don't like me except for Kraydo's Red Horn. Kraydo's Red Horn is the first Horned leaf I've really enjoyed (also liked Kraydo's R.M.D....first R.M.D. that's been noticeably effective for me!) What's remarkable about that is, I've had Horned Leaf and Maeng Da from several vendors so there should ABSOLUTELY have been enough difference in alkaloid makeup to at least have some success (unless they were from the same supplier which is entirely possible), or maybe, it's just a psychological anomaly! Oddly enough, I have a modest amount of Mystic's Green Maeng Da that's been remarkably good....TWICE, and that's it. The other 4 or 5 times I've burned it, I barely noticed anything. Weird, hUh???

Edit: When I say, "Maeng Da's don't like me," I'm referring to Red, Green and White...NOT PMD!

The Red Bali (030119) is definitely strong. I kept taking what I’ve always considered to be a “normal” dose for me, and kept getting nauseous. 4 years of kratom use, and never has my “standard” dosage been TOO much.

It’s taken me 5 or more tries to finally realize... it’s just that strong. After nearly halving my dose, I’m feeling a full blown stimulating blissful euphoria.

So for anyone who may not appreciate the potency of this batch... definitely cut the dose down for it. Even if you’re normally taking 20g of kratom daily... you can get by on 8g NO problem with this batch of red bali.

So I increased my serving pretty significantly and learned that it is not one of those strains that you can up without eventually getting wobbles. I took 2 grams more than my regular serving and was getting wobbled an hour into it. Nothing too bad, but if I had added another gram I think I would have had regrets.
