Pennsylvania Kratom schedule 1 Ban

Post by Donaldchump710 »

Short and sweet and to the point. PA residents,

1)SIGN THE PETITION GOING AROUND

2) CONTACT CONKLIN AND TELL HIM YOUR KRATOM STORY.

3)CONTACT YOUR LOCAL SENATORS/REPRESENTATIVES VIA MAIL, IN PERSON, BY TELEPHONE, OR ALL THREE

4)SPREAD THIS WORD LIKE WILDFIRE, AND PLEASE DO YOUR PART; THEY’RE TRING TO MAKE KRATOM A SCHEDULE 1 DRUG.

Find, call, and write letters to your local legislators https://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/le ... um=ios_app

Contact forum for Conklin http://www.pahouse.com/Conklin/Contact? ... um=ios_app

Sign the petition https://www.change.org/p/pennsylvania-g ... um=ios_app

It's important to noet that nothing has been formally introduced yet. There is no bill number because there is no official bill (yet).

So we do have a chance to try to convince him to change from a total Schedule 1 ban to some other form of regulation and he is potentially meeting with the AKA (that's a reddit link to a post by someone who spoke to his office).

Obvs this is still very concerning because PA is a large and influential state - as is Ohio - and bans there could be used as ammo for bans in other states. But this is going through the standard legislative process so even if a bill were to be introduced, there is still a long road with multiple chances to oppose and fight along the way.

Stay civil, guys. Last time a few people made some inappropriate comments and the Board used it as an excuse to not take our side seriously.
Was that Georgia? Can't quite remember.

Where's the AKA been at? I'm on the mailing list and haven't received any updates lately.

Yeah, I'm dumb. I just got one this morning about their rebuttal to the CDC's recent report. Nevermind

It was Ohio during the initial round of comments to the Board of Pharmacy.

From the AKA email 12/05/18
  • The Board of Pharmacy staff did express their strong concerns about the content of some of the comments that were made by kratom advocates, including the use of inappropriate profanity and comments related to family members of the staff. While we expressed strong condemnation of such comments, it was clear that our message had been undermined by these deeply offensive messages.

We encourage every kratom supporter to be professional in future communications. These staffers and the Pharmacy Board Members should be accorded respect even if we disagree with conclusions or opinions they may hold.
