Vendor Review: SOS kratom (Seattle organic Supplements)

Hey mm fam, I'm back, I found a new vendor that is better than Herbal RVA(in my top 5) and Botanical Bunny(also in my top 5).

They are called Seattle Organic Supplements or SOS for short.

Overall rating: 10/10

Their strains rang from 1.8% mitragynine to 1.4% mitragynine. I suspect the lower ones are high in 7-hydroxy mitragynine.

You can find them on facebook and their website. They are new but one of the best in potency and customer service.

They focus on their small list of strains instead of making 60+. The color difference is similar to botanical bunny.

I'd say they are equal to or slightly better than Botanical Bunny, Herbal RVA and Mystic.

Everyone here knows I wouldn't lie. I still love RVA, BB, HS, The Greeneey, OG and Oregon but this has become my new go to vendor.

Hey Grunchy, someone replied to you but unfortunately we can't allow -open- discussion of payment options for the sake of the vendors. Because kratom is illegal in some places, kratom vending is not allowed on multiple processing platforms, and vendors are kicked off without notice or recourse if they're found to be using a platform for kratom sales. It's a long and ugly story, unfortunately.

Our site rules have now been changed to reflect that for the entire board (it had already been stated in the vendor forum) and the member who answered you asked me to remove their posts altogether, because the last thing anyone wants is for a vendor to lose a method of payment processing because of an innocent mention.

But I -can- tell you that all our member did was contact the vendor, who told him the payment options available.

Apologies for all the trouble -- I know it was an innocent question. Thanks for understanding!

on facebook he gives discounts, new member discounts over $25 and will go as low as $70 a kilo but charges $80 for 4 ways, i got him knocked down to $75 per split kilo.

If you mention me and say you want the kilos at $70 split or not i think he will work with you.
i had one package broke since hge is using air tight freezer bags and he sent me a free 250g bag and sent me 90g free when i was out. Micheal Cain is a great guy and has great customer service.
they are planning on changing bags to the heat sealed ends with the same type of bags Mystic, BB and RVA use. so for me its not a problem. i dont think it was his fault since the USPS told me they searched the box.

what i got was 12x 250g bags of 12 different strains for $225 which is 3kg at 75 a kilo. I have almost every strain they got and im happy, i can blend the ones that missed for me and covet the ones i hold dear, lol

I really, really hope I got to it in time. Not because any of our regulars would say anything, but because I wanted it off before GoogleBot happened to cache it.

That's the only reason I'm mentioning it now, so that others will know: completely innocent discussion of payment options has lost some vendors their business. We've updated the site rules and tried to make it known as much as we can.

I -HATE- that it has to be like this, and even more so that I had to shitcan a perfectly legitimate and civil discourse in its entirety.

Fortunately everyone involved was really cool about it, because it's gonna be that way until 1) kratom is legal in all 50 states, and 2) banks catch up with that fact.

I've been ready to add a new branch to the tree and this one is already in my garden.

I've been looking for a quality local vendor for a long time. Very excited to discover this.

There's a cloud hanging over this. Doesn't appear this guy is ready for business at the moment
and I'm going to pass on joining the FB group. tbh it's a strange time to open up a start up vendor.
I don't mind looking like an alarmist if it just MIGHT prevent problems for others and myself.

Hopefully, it's all good and just typical new site issues, but there are some red flags at the moment.

Who else has accessed this site and / or bought from this vendor?

Hey, Transformato, thanks for the heads up. Can you clarify what made you think he's not ready for business? (Unless it's payment related, sorry.)

I haven't tried them and I have no dog in this hunt anyway, but I am curious as to what got your suspicions up about this vendor, if you don't mind saying. If it's just a feeling you got that's cool too, but usually there's something (or multiple somethings) that set it off, if you care to tell us more about it.

Sure Whiffy, and it appears there's been a dark cloud over me too as thinking I was being careful was some kind of self delusion (I woke up sick this morning and dysfunction often precedes illness I've found).

It was ultimately a feeling but based on my own difficulty- mostly. So I have now found their website and stopped getting error messages. They showed up in google when I stopped being stupid. I'm feeling better but take what I say with a grain of salt because I'm not finished, and really- this isn't some corporate entity and who can be bothered with doing things right when you're not? That's open ended question that I'm not going to answer.

They are probably just fine and I see things that may not matter-
Like stolen images from competitors websites. How hard is it to dump some shit on a white plate and take a picture? It's true though that one of my reg. vendors uses one damn image shaded differently for most of his strains. Pathetic. But I love him anyway, lol. - so theres that trivial observation and a vented pet peeve (I already have a cat so I'm good).

What about Non- local business numbers? (I live in Seattle) but I guess using an out of state cell phone is okay, well kind of.
Mississippi - is that close to Seattle? Um.. not even but I have fond memories of my Mom's parents and an interesting side of the family. Prosperity can be hard to come by there so it's become popular, thanks to a certain Internet marketer, for the sharp and determined- to open up online businesses.

Also suggests that this may not be a native of the city they are using in their name, and their business addy is perfect-
Seattle, Washington Yea that's it. I guess you have to say that when you ship something (from that city) but guess what- all my experienced vendors have a street addy.
Herbal Salvation covers themselves in a way (many, actually) buy threatening refusal of service if anyone shows up at their door, Lol!! Can't say I blame them.
Maybe I'm hyper scrutinizing a new kid in town. Sorry. So let's say this is my neighbor. That'd be so cool!

So since Im probably wrong to bring this up...
- Anyone remember sofakingburnt on reddit? He was a vendor out of Bainbridge Island (that's Seattle btw)
Now it's true that long term natives like myself are lunatics. But he was legit, then his comments started getting really dark. (well we all do I guess)
Govt. actions triggered that in many of us and still do. I was about to purchase some heft from him.
But I had a hunch like this one that is probably unfounded but that one Was Not. I almost lost more money than I could afford to.
The last paid invoices that went through were never fulfilled to my knowledge, accd to the community. Some called it an exit scam
I'd call it overload and probably a relapse of some kind as result, or a contributing factor. It's happened to me before.

It's enough for me to wait though and Psylocybe, I mean no disrrespect whatsoever. I'm still glad to know of this option.
I'll prolly. be embarrassed by yet another lengthy banter.
It's less about being right or wrong- and more about just being observant and careful. Not rushing in.

Hey, thanks for that! I totally get how being sick can make one's thoughts less than reliable, but you brought up a number of specific, objective points that make me go "hmmm" too. Maybe each one on its own is nothing, but taken together they're a bit unsettling from a brand new vendor; for example I didn't know they were using "borrowed" images, or that their number doesn't match their physical location, etc.

And yeah, I'd call /u/soafakingburnt an exit scam, no doubt about it. He may not have -meant- to scam, he may have simply ended up in a hole he couldn't get out of that resulted in taking cash for product he couldn't ship, but whatever the cause he took a lot of money from a lot of people just before he closed up shop and became well nigh unreachable. That's the textbook definition of exit scam. I'm sorry you got burnt by him; you're wise to take it as a lesson going forward.

I really appreciate your answer and the time and thought you put into it. Hope you feel better soon!!!

I got in contact with Mike as I joined the group and got to read what people had to say and I'm going to give it a shot, I talked to him on msngr and he said he has some tincture newly available (not on site yet) which seems awesome, and I will be placing an order for some tomorrow, I will be sure to write a review!

I'm also gonna try some new Mystic strains as they are quite consistent as far as I've seen, I think I might actually order a ton of 25g samples because the pricing is just stellar, even at $0.12 USD per gram for 25g which is roughly double per gram as opposed to per gram of 500g to kilo (both are around ~$0.06) it's well worth it to check some new strains out. Also I really like Mystic's packaging.

oddly enough I was just googling yesterday, to see what remained of ( 7OHM ) if anything - His domain was hosted on the Blogger platform if you recall, so not even the Wayback Machine has it cached.. poof all gone. "Steve Ohm" or whatever haha.. Mercer Island iirc

Sketchy - MO prob knows something. There's definitely still questions floating around, and a bunch got deleted thanks to Reddit.. There was some back & forth 1 guy claimed to have contacted him and had a line on his stock. What happened to his kilos? Someone else claimed a report of suicide.

Then the whole history and how he put together the business and assembled his contacts. He just chipped away I guess and looked high & low for the best sources. And followed leads and kept after it.. looking in offbeat places. from Medan to Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok.

I placed a sample order for 5 different strains from Seattle Organic Solutions just a few hours ago. I saw this initial review earlier when I was in the middle of deciding on who to order some samples from so I thought eh, why not?! .. and pulled the trigger!
Reading the subsequent replies has reminded me just how new I still am to this game, though. I just would never have put everything together like that. so unfortunately, I'm probably the perfect fare for a one way trip to scams-sylvania!!

On the other hand, Mike (?) was super cordial and prompt with payment options and shipping (...similar to dealing with Okie Kratom, in my opinion)... So, who knows!..
Either way, I will definitely document the entire experience and report back!

Thanks, Jessdkmon! In a way we're all in your shoes: kratom is still the Wild West of online purchases, and for all I know I would be the next one to inadvertently buy from a vendor that was in trouble. I know this and just take my chances anyway.

Reddit -really- screwed us in this when they forbade vendor reviews, because if someone had a bad experience we generally heard about it quickly and multiple bad reviews piled up very visibly. In addition, I know BallzDeep9 insists that for a vendor to be on one of his lists they have to have zero unresolved problems, which is also a big deal. Blends' sample vendors list may be the same; I know he goes out of his way to screen out vendors that are too new or only have sales-oriented interaction with the community. Reddit took that ability to vet vendors from us for a while too, but those two lists are both here now, which is a huge relief!

So even though this vendor's not on the list(s) yet and doesn't have many reviews, don't worry. Many/most kratom vendors are reliable. This one is just new and may end up being a good one as well. So thanks for reporting back when your transaction goes through! We appreciate it, and if the vendor is a good one I know he will appreciate it too.

I am so genuinely amazed at how supportive, helpful, and willing to advise this community is.. I've been meaning to mention that somewhere for a while now. I am not a computer person really, I've never joined or contributed to any forums or communities online before but when I realized how positively impactful kratom could be in my life (and I found a place that people were helping each other out with experiences and such helpful advice) I really wanted a way to pay it back. When Reddit blew and everyone started scrambling I found as many platforms as I could and dedicated to helping continue the "tradition" I guess. I'm sorry, I'm rambling. Idk, I am just really grateful for everyone and I don't want it to fall apart

So, back to the subject, like you, I will totally pull the trigger on a reasonably priced sample pack to see if maybe there's a new gem in the making cause that's how we're gonna find the new vendors, right?! And I actually think it's kinda fun and the whole kratom process is super interesting!
P.S. So yesterday I found VA Botanicals(?) And their site is all cryptic and leads you to their new site:

Interesting thing about Mystic; I had assumed they were in the northeast (i.e. Mystic Island, NJ; Mystic, CT) but I read here yesterday they're in southern NC, which would make their shipping time next to nothing for me. So between that and the consistently good reviews I may well have to make Mystic my next purchase. Thanks!

tnx PsilocybeFanaticis . I just ordered a key of RB 2.0% from SOS. I have been burned so many times - often from the same supplier whose prior order was great. Best so far was RJHong from the Bunny. I went hiking and keep getting euphoric waves for hours and old knee/back injuries were nonexistent - all this from soap !!! Unfortunately BB had no keys when I made that order and is now OOS.
So I am keeping my fingers crossed with upcoming SOS order.

Probably not. You'll probably get some OK kratom. Most kratom is good. VA Botanicals had mixed reviews on reddit. It's a somewhat sketchy operation.. Now they're re-directing to a different site, calling it Coffee, and using a weird "code" to order?

I'll say that again, most kratom is "good average kratom". It's cheap. There's a nice profit margin .. vendors are poppin' up all over. SOS probably has good kratom, too .. However I've got a List of 50 vendors who also have good kratom .. and were here first. So I'm going to try them 1st - they've invested more $ in their business and are more established.

New vendors can get started on Facebook - that's great. Totally against FB rules, haha but, whatever works .. It's a good way to start! IF the Owner is available online, doing promotions, answering PM's and talking to customers .. even better!!

Well I figured I would roll the dice on this guy and placed an order for the sampler. The site was user friendly enough, and Mike replied back to me personally shortly after placing my order. Very personable and assisted finalizing the order quickly. This was all done Sunday afternoon. Was hoping for tracking today, but nothing so far. I am in no big hurry so giving benefit of the doubt here and hoping the order got packaged today, and I will get shipping info soon? I will update as things progress.

I just wanted to see for myself what this leaf is like with such high purported mitra #'s. I have a good bit of quality leaf and just wanted to compare. I always wonder WHERE these guys come up with their numbers? Be VERY expensive to test that many strains for mitra content? Color me skeptical at this point. We shall see.

To those that have ordered from him, did he send tracking in a timely manner? I assume you DID GET tracking, right?

Well I couldn't resist the hype of high mitra numbers, haha. So here is where we are at.

Ordered Saturday night...got automated email that someone would be in contact...Heard from Mike mid-day on Sunday and finalized everything. Did not hear back all day Monday, so emailed him last night. He replied right back, said all was good, processing order and package would go out this morning (Tuesday) and would send me tracking info. So far so good.

Mike was always nice and answered any questions I had. I figure he is doing this mostly by himself, so was not expecting super speedy processing. As long as I have contact (which he was good about), I am happy...Not in any hurry anyway. Hoping GOOD things come to those that wait.

EDIT 7-10-18: True to his word, my package is on the way this morning. Got tracking info. So if the leaf is good, I will be a happy camper!..I have had no big issues with this Company at all so far. Well pleased with the order process...maybe not the fastest in the world, but certainly acceptable. THANKS SOS

Just wanted to update you guys. Just got my "sample pack" from SOS out of the mailbox...Looks like I will have a FUN weekend...also wanted to note, the sample sizes are VERY NICE...I am 110% pleased with the process so far...If his leaf is as good as "the numbers" might imply, I will be a new customer of SOS! THANKS Mike, for everything (and putting up with my stupid questions), will review as I try things out and get a feel for the strains. Keep up the good work!

I found out about SOS from reading this post a few weeks back. So thanks y’all!

SOS has the best speciosa that I’ve tried. Hands down. Also impressive is quality assurance, lab test results, which if you’ve ever been sick from a bad batch like I have, will ease your mind. My only small criticism is they seem comparatively slow with processing/shipping. However, the awesome product more than makes up for having to wait a day or more than I’m used to waiting. So, kudos. One of my new go-to vendors.

I ordered from them once. Packaging was not at all professional, and they sent me the wrong order. One of the bags was paper and it'd ripped open in shipping and spilled all over the inside of the envelope. But when I called they let me keep what they sent for free, so can't complain about that. Would've liked to have what I ordered, but $#!t happens. Product seems to be good. I'll definitely take a chance on them again in the future since their customer service was excellent, but there are a lot of other places out there right now that I love, so it might be a while.

Hi all.
I ordered the 5 sample pack from SOS.
I read some decent reviews here of their products, but it dates back a few months.
Any recent experiences anyone can share?
I tried every single sample of the 5 pack and was not impressed except for the SOS white Elephant.g
1st time I tried it I felt super great (4 gramsJ which I think was too much.
All the rest pretty much no effect and at low, mid and high doses.
Even when I went back to The SOS white, on then2nd time around..just got a headache and felt too heady.

Anyways, I was thinking that perhaps I was sent an older or different batch from the good reviews I’ve read here.
This was my first exp with Kratom. I just ordered another sample pack, but this time from Happy Hippo. Hoping for better results from them.
