Looking for vendors who test
I am looking to switch vendors. Any recommendations on vendors who perform lab testing?

You want MY opinion? No? Well...here goes anyway.
The salmonella in kratom was PUT there by people who PRETEND to protect us but actually murder us.
It's like the razor blade in the apple at Halloween. Nobody has EVER poisoned food or put razor blades in apples EVER in the history of Trick or Treating. BUT every hospital has the x-ray machine set up just to needlessly check/promote fear. Kratom is exactly the same. How many people since, say, 2012 have actually gotten tainted kratom and gotten sick? Hint : it's just shy of ONE. If testing were NECESSARY, everyone would do it. Most of the vendors on the vendor list are for real with this kratom thing. They MEAN IT. The last person that wants you to get sick is a vendor. Bad news travels FAST, especially with forums like this. Sick customer equals bye-bye kraton company. Basically overnight. Look what happened to Gaia. What? Two bad batches and now its history. They ARE still in business, but who gets their leaf from there in 2019? It's a dried leaf ground into a powder. Salmonella doesn't even hang out there!

They used to have a good reputation, I've don't recall from memory ever seeing a bad thing but they are on the pricier end of the vendor list.IndigoBlue24 wrote:Anyone ever try Krabot?mivanqua wrote:Check out Ballz vendor list. It's at the top of this forum.

Indigo, you asked about a quality vendor, why not try out one who has gone to great lengths here lately to ENSURE your not gonna get a dud? SmileyTime herbals has a pretty good reputation of that, even offering exchanges in batches you don't like?

Re: Looking for vendors who test
There's about between 10-40 "tests," that could be run on kratom, and might be important, so some context is important. Not trying to be a pain, but I think "testing" is very broad and often misconstrued. Here's just a few below.IndigoBlue24 wrote:I am looking to switch vendors. Kratom is known to have between 5-25 different alkaloids. While yes, mitragynine and 7HOM and are the most prevalent, they are not the only effects producing alkaloids. And some trace alkaloids could prove better from one person to the next. Short, while you can have awesome effects from kratom with mitragynine over 1.5%, you can also have kratom with great effects with mitragynine around 1.2%. One could easily find one that works better than another with more mitragynine. So is this important? Perhaps if you are very experienced and know for certain that you get the best effects from only a certain alkaloid, maybe that testing for that one specific alkaloid is important to you.
Maybe you're concerned about chemical/trace testing... In which case, just like anything else, these can easily be sifted by using a series of sieves. Pesticides and the trace heavy metals are heavier, settle, and can be removed from the powder. This happens with flour, sugar and salt... So is this important? Perhaps if you're pregnant and concerned for the health of the developing baby, maybe this is testing that you value. Do you worry about this from your corn or strawberries though?
Maybe biological testing is your concern. Though O3 (ozone) and/or UV-C kill just about everything that could be on your kratom or on equipment/instruments used in processing it, you might still be concerned with the zombie apocalypse.... Didn't it start in SE Asia in World War Z???? I digress... Unless you're concerned with a spore like biological like anthrax or bacillus globigii, they are easily prevented by proper washing of equipment and/or use of ozone/UV-C. So is this important?
Most folks don't worry so much about other things put into their bodies (just look at your local McDonalds or farmer's market), but if you're worried, I think less important are the testing itself than the actual processing the kratom in "lab" like conditions. The preventative lab environment measures are more cost effective and the testing likely makes the product cost prohibitive, as you'd have to thoroughly "test," each batch. I'm not so sure you'd like to pay $60 for 100oz, but there are plenty of vendors you can find that do this. Even with the some vendors do this, it is usually only one to two of their products, not every batch. Don't believe me, just ask em to produce the results of the specific test for each batch; they'll likely have a hard time producing the results.
