What are your current favorite strains/vendors?
I’ve been blending a lot of reds and greens during the day and sticking to reds/bents at night. Here are the strains I’ve been enjoying making candles with the most during the day:
• Widi/BigBang Kratom’s PMD. This stuff is crazy good. Everything I need. I legitimately have never had a PMD as good as this batch. It’s DG-tier and I don’t say that lightly.
• Zack Karo/Sumatra Garden’s Red Aceh and Green Borneo. I’ve been mixing the two. His Red Aceh is an incredibly unique red, unlike any I’ve had before. It's in a nice and mellow middle ground where it burns neither fast nor slow. I feel both focused and relaxed with this candle burning on my nightstand. The Green Borneo is on the faster side of mellow and has strong wax. It lasts an hour for me and it's scent comes on strong. When I mix the two I feel like I’m on cloud 9.
• Zeniotuten’s White Zen. I don’t use whites often but this one is actually really slow and balanced. I either add it to my reds for an energy boost but only sprinkle some in the wax to avoid the smell making me feel tired between red candles. This is the slowest, most enjoyable white strain I’ve ever had. Focused. I highly recommend people who don’t like whites to give this one a shot.
• Kratom OG’s Green Paragin. This is a feel-good green with just the right amount of relief. It actually affects my mood moreso than most candles made with kratom. If you have blah days this one would help you. I like mixing it with slower reds because it tends to balance them out.
• DG’s March batch of Red Malay. It’s pretty fast burning for a red, has long legs, and burns well for hours without making me sleepy. Also flickers fast for a red.
• Mitra Genie’s Green 2.0. Most happy candle making strain I’ve ever had. The flame lasted 3 hours. Also great relief for a green, which also lasted approximately 3 hours.
• Nugroz Botanicals Red Nugroz. I always come back to this for a daytime red strain candle. The best way to describe it is the slow burn of a red, scent of a green, and aura of a white.
... How about you all?

"Widi/BigBang Kratom’s PMD. This stuff is crazy good. RVA is selling it as PMD2. It’s euphoric and mellow and relieves pain."
By mellow you mean it's not stimulating?
"Mitra Genie’s Green 2.0. Most euphoric strain I’ve ever had. The euphoria lasted 3 hours. Also great pain relief for a green, which also lasted approximately 3 hours."
How about this one? Stimulating or no?
I'm really loving the slow, euphoric greens lately.

I would say they’re both in a middleground. Both are in the same place on that spectrum. They are ever-so-slightly stimulating in a mental way, as in they motivate me to get up and do things, but not stimulating like a white strain. I would describe them as slower more mellow greens.

Upon re-reading this I’m not sure if my reply to your post makes sense, herbal hippie. I mean they are slow-ish euphoric greens but stimulating mentally, like make me feel creative and motivated

Re: What are your current favorite strains/vendors?
Great post, lots of good info there. Interesting that only 1 out of those you name... Is available from a "vendor" listed on the March Vendor List - maybe two, counting RVA which you pointed out, does carry BigBang PMD!! I gotta try that one.... How about you all?
KOG definitely among top vendors and probably #1 on variety - KOG is one of my favorites! Although haven't ordered his current stuff the MD Ultra and Gold Banjo have been two of his good blends.
I don't know where Mitra-Genie and the guys are hanging out (?) But his website has disappeared and that's a no-no for "real" vendors, who run a business and pay taxes and deal with banks and stuff.. I'm sure he will chime in! Hello Genie!!
Zack from Sumatra Gardens, I guess is an Indo supplier (?) but also a USA vendor? Not quite sure but I hear his Sumatra leaf is good!

Interesting that you have to ooze snarkiness every time you post. RVA is a major vendor. Zeniotuten is working with Harry from kratom og. That's pretty damn legit. Mitra genie not having a website doesn't bother me in the least. He's easy to reach and has great prices. The people are hanging out on MeWe.

I'm just learning about the different strains of Kratom, but so far I really like the Red Bali from SoCal, batch date 1/28/18. Very warm and relaxing!

Great post, amagdalene. I love informative and well written posts like this.
I've been meaning to try KOG, so I'll have to get some of that paragin. I think I'm going to order a kilo this week. Have you tried any white or red strains from there? I think I'm going to try the red aceh, but not sure what else yet.

Thank you e poison!
I have tried lots of Harry’s reds and he’s got a really fantastic selection. He carries Zack’s Red Aceh which is one of the one’s on my list, and I also love his OG Red Thai MD.

Herbal RVA is my favorite vendor. Good customer service/ship times, quality kratom, inexpensive split kilos, and stocks a strong variety. My favorites are PMD, Green/White Hulu, and Wild Green/White.
Acadica is another favorite, but they've been consistently low on stock lately. Their website is down right now. I'm hoping they just received a big shipment in. They used to stock my favorite strain ever, which was Green Jongkong. I have a batch from October that I use like a treat. It's a special occasion blend

Really! Tell us more. Zenio is legit, I never said otherwise. He's not a "online vendor" with a website, like KOG that's all.. Should we continue ordering from Harry @ KOG, then or how is Zenio "working" with him? I'm working with Harry too, every time I buy some of his excellent kratom!Wheresandrew wrote:RVA is a major vendor. Zeniotuten is working with Harry from kratom og. That's pretty damn legit..
A few observations. I can't order Big Bang PMD from RVA - it's all gone. Acadica is totally out of stock, so that's gone.. Not trying to be a smart-ass here, just good Info for new folks reading this. People read a Review, and think hmm... how can I get that?

That DG red Malay sounds really good. So does the RVA PMD2. Ugh! I'm trying not to order, I've already got a butt-load, but it all sounds so good!

great review(s)! Everything is so descriptive but also concise. I just got some mitra-genie today, and you're right about the green 2.0 with the euphoria. I made a very enjoyable blend with mitra-genie's kali 1.0, green 2.0, red 2.0, red MD1, green 1.1, and kali 1.1. The blend is more heavily weighted with the green 2.0 and kali 1.0. Definitely recommend

Re: What are your current favorite strains/vendors?
Great post, amagdalene--love hearing others favorites and why.
I've been sampling a LOT lately from a bunch of different sellers, and am listing my faves below. Right now I am on a t-break, but plan on "breaking the fast" with KOG's wild green or Garuda's Super Wild Green, which contourboar was nice enough to send a sample of.
In no particular order, my current faves:
KOG Paragin Premium: i wrote a review of this on this forum, so if you're curious about how this strain affected me, go read that. It's a wonderful strain. Obviously, amagdalene agrees with me
KOG OG White MD: again, wrote a review of this on this forum.
KOG MD Sulawesi--a warm, happy, energizing strain with great mood lift.
BB Wild Green: great energy, euphoria and mood lift. Long legs too! I just received the Wild White from BB, so will compare and contrast when I get a chance to try it.
RVA PMD2: energy!!! wow! this one is really powerful, and great for blending with a more mellow, euphoric green like Paragin.
and I can't omit my old evening standby, Red Hulu Kapuas from Canopy--the best red I've tried. Warm, happy, mellow and my favorite evening strain.
KOG seems to be my fave vendor based on my list! I do love BB and Canopy too, but just happened to be tryng lots of KOG lately.

[quote]• Zack Karo/Sumatra Garden’s Red Aceh and Green Borneo. I’ve been mixing the two. His Red Aceh is an incredibly unique red, unlike any I’ve had before. It’s got great pain relief (6 hours!) and it’s this nice mellow middle ground where it is neither fast nor slow. I feel both focused and relaxed. The Green Borneo is on the faster side of mellow and has strong euphoria. It lasts an hour for me and it comes on strong. When I mix the two I feel like I’m on cloud 9.
• Zeniotuten’s White Zen. I don’t use whites often but this one is actually really slow and balanced. I either add it to my reds for an energy boost or microdose it to avoid feeling tired between red doses. This is the slowest, most enjoyable white strain I’ve ever had. Focused euphoria. I highly recommend people who don’t like whites to give this one a shot.
Amagdelene im not sure how the reply with the quote works on here yet so forgive me if I post this wrong.
I’m not familiar with these vendors. Can you tell me how I can order from them? Your reviews are very enticing!

Zeno and I are working together and its been fun. Hes plugged into the reddit world of vendors and I was not so he offers good insight into whats trending, who I should try and offers valuable suggestions and of course, helps that he includes my strains in his samplers for my exposure. He suggested a white bentuangie so i worked on it and Im now carrying White Zentuangie but he has it first. We will see where it ends up but I think he will be very successful even though our chemistry is very different regards how strains hit us. Valuable and honest feedback.

The world of kratom is a finicky one. Being tuned into someones chemistry is very hard. If you take your time and listen to your customersomers concerns, you will find there likes and dislikes.. We take that time to listen. Amagadlene has a very soft chemistry and so many things wouldnt work. We found what works and shes tuned in nicely now. Also learning from harry is something i treasure. This is what we do. Find the best and bring them to you..!

Harrys flooded with them.. Take your pick..lol... My green zen is extremely slow for a green. Very , very sturdy of a strain. The bota is a very complete strain. Many ppl request it from me to try everyday. Green asia as well. If its still available. Those are my 2 top. Dark malay comes in close as well..

Ok, thanks. I've got Green Asia from RVA and Canopy and like them both very much. Strange thing, Canopy's doesn't work for me unless it's blended with something else, and then it's great.Zeniotuten wrote:Harrys flooded with them.. Take your pick..lol... I stock everything ..its not easy. But alot of names out here are stolen. Whats next ..pinoh? Already making the rounds. Some of us have been had it since last year.

Not a dead horse at all! lol - Green Asia was announced last year - It was "exclusive" lets say - Then suddenly it's widely available? Hmm. Very interesting, consumers want both quality and selection - Lots of competition between vendors now. Probably deserves its own Topic.Zeniotuten wrote:Not trying to kick a dead horse but harry had the first real Asia.
Discussion on "brand" kratom.. where is this going? Will we see more signature brands in 2018?

As long as it's slow and euphoric, I don't care what it's called.

Re: What are your current favorite strains/vendors?
I have only tried it blended. I tried it once, gave it to a friend, got it back from him to try blending with something else and then gave it back again. I've seen the competition ramp up just in the 7 1/2 months I've been on Reddit.

Sacrad life botanicals has some good golds that I have been enjoying. Most of all though his PMD is great.

Have you tried the Gold Bali? I have that as part of my sampler I bought from SLB but haven't tried it yet. I'm still super hung up on their Red and Green MD which have both been amazing.Contourboar wrote:Sacrad life botanicals has some good golds that I have been enjoying. I don't have a ton of experience with a variety of vendors but the Red MD I tried was the first strain I've had that was noticeably better than others in the areas that I wanted it to be.
