Oregon Conservative Republican pushes KCPA 'Regulation'

Post by BallzDeep9 »

Oregon Republican Bill Post (R) Keizer. A "Tea Party" Republican, is the primary sponsor for Oregon House Bill 4013. Links below.

In Oregon, there is NO threat of any "Kratom Ban" by State Of Oregon. House Bill 4013, would only punish anyone with Fines and Jail, who does not conduct un-necessary "Regulation" on their kratom including expensive Lab Testing, Labeling, etc. The Bill is promoted by a local Vendor who has donated lots of money to the AKA. Under this Law, consumers in Oregon would not be allowed to sell, advertise, promote, trade, or supply to friends, ANY kratom which is not purchased through "State Registered" Vendors: Kraken Kratom, Phytoextractum, possibly others.

QUOTE from Bill Post: I have attended Salem Evangelical Church in Salem for over 20 years. Being a deejay was my life's dream, I love music and I love talking so I did that for 30 years, but found a real calling in Conservative Talk Radio.

Oregon IS a liberal state, with legal Cannabis, recreational use, and retail Cannabis stores "Pot Shops" around the state.. There is also a well known Kava Bar in Portland, Oregon. Now... this Evangelical Teabagger, Rush Limbaugh wanna-bee .. is trying to stop kratom trade within OR outside the state - Lots of questions, but most likely imo.. There would be lawsuits against any vendor who ships kratom IN to the State of Oregon. :o

Please join me in fighting against the AKA, and this very BAD House Bill 4013. 8-)

Oregon Senate judiciary committee unanimously passed this bill. As someone who lives in Oregon and has introduced kratom to people who were in need and who prefers to purchase from small batch vendors, this makes me a little uneasy about the future.

Yes, As Amended :D  :ugeek:

Basically, all of the bullshit KCPA language was removed from the Bill... Read Link above, if anyone's interested in how government works... House Bill 4013 had a reading, and a public hearing, (with like 3 days advance notice). A dozen ignorant people showed up, crying about banning kratom.. supporting the bill... As IF nobody bothered to READ IT ?? Anyway.. Bill then started it's journey through committees. I know that a few people DID call and write, in opposition !!!

This HORRIBLE Republican Bill, would never fly through the Democratic Legislature!! Here's what happened: Economic Development Committee immediately held a discussion. Bill Post tried to offer a silly Amendment that kept all his bullshit KCPA in there.... No Dice! :P 2nd Amendment - strip all the KCPA out of the bill, replace that BS with a resolution to "study" kratom for a year. 8-) . Keep the Age restriction. VOTE for 2nd Amendment - passed unanimous. Bill dropped from further consideration, NOT even passed to the Ways & Means committee.

Thank you for the Reply to this topic. Nobody else even cared to respond... which is a shame, because this bill WOULD have effectively banned Internet kratom sales in Oregon, and this bill WAS being used, by the AKA, and by ONE vendor... as a model for the rest of the country.

That's pretty messed up,because its put out there as helpful for the. Consumer but it's just all about making the rich richer same old bs.

Thankful theres some people out there digging a little deeper. SO the second amendment is accepted.
Sheez that's some tricky dicky shit.

Thank you Ballz for the relaying of this information. I just saw unanimous approval and I did not look any further I just immediately got distressed. I appreciate you bringing the facts in a way I can understand. That bill had some major b.s. written in it, so glad it was amended!!!

Yes C.C. lets spread the word, KCPA 'Regulation' is totally un-necessary !! There was never a BAN proposed in Oregon!!! :o

Here's the PDF link Oregon HB 4013 -- Check it out. The WAY you read a Bill like this.. (and I didn't know this either, its confusing..) IS - the Text In Italics was the part removed from the Final Bill. Just below that, the Text in Bold IS the text of the Final Bill.

So... ALL the baloney about criminal charges and, Fines of $1,250... OUT!! :D Including.. Provides civil cause of action for damages resulting from violation of kratom regulations. - What does that mean? It means (I think) Vendors can SUE Vendors in court. Yes. Realize.. ALL it would take, would be one little MeWe vendor getting sued in court - and nobody would be shipping to Oregon.

People HAD better get busy, and OPPOSE this power-grab by AKA.... Imagine this becoming Law in a bunch of states? Wow.

That would mean, if the KCPA goes through, that only AKA approved vendors would be able to sell kratom, like kraken, choice, etc.?
