Getting wobbles almost every day now..
I don't take big doses. I take 2.5g per dose with at least a couple hours in between doses. Usually 3-4 hours between doses. Do I need to take even less? Or is it the type of kratom I've been taking? I've never gotten them as frequently as I do now.

You need to take a couple days off.

And then drop your dose. You may be one of the lucky ones (like myself) that get good results from lower doses.RumRunner wrote:You need to take a couple days off.
Wobbles generally means you're taking too much.

Space your doses out 6 hours apart

Lower serving size and dont take as frequently. (is there an echo in here?)
If you are not using a scale, definitely invest in one. Here is a cheap one that I always reccomend:

Scales are important. For me, the difference between a perfect serving size and wobble city can be around .25 grams.

That's a good one. I used to have one, lasted for years. I went slightly fancier with one I just ordered

I think the scale you linked only weighs to 0.0gumbyke1 wrote:Lower serving size and dont take as frequently. (is there an echo in here?)If you are not using a scale, definitely invest in one. Here is a cheap one that I always reccomend:

This one weighs to 0.00
I often dose at 1.25, 1.65, like that. Not always rounded off 10ths. I love this scale

Ok so is 2.5g too much? I weigh when I'm at home, but am usually dosing at work or in the car so i just use a teaspoon which is basically 2.5~
And yeah I agree I probably need to dose less frequently.
The weird thing is I NEVER get wobbles while using TFH or Botanical Bunny but I've been exploring some other vendors lately and have noticed wobbles with them, could it have anything to do with certain vendors?

2.5 is fine, but if you're taking it every 3 hours, the bad wobble alkaloids build up in your system
And yes, going to the hundredth is a must (0.00)
I also like mine because it goes up to 500g so I can weigh larger amounts (a quarter in the bag)..some of the cheaper ones only go to ~250

It probably has to do with stronger kratom.Spencemastaflex wrote:Ok so is 2.5g too much? I weigh when I'm at home, but am usually dosing at work or in the car so i just use a teaspoon which is basically 2.5~

It is not a vendor's fault you are getting wobbles.

You gotta check the dose and the vendors. If certain vendors are causing more issues, you just gotta stop using them. There are a couple of vendors I've tried on here who have rave reviews but their kratom made me really spaced out. I confirmed it with trying multiple strains. I have no idea why so just gotta chalk it up to body chemistry, no big deal. Also go with the scale to .1g. I have a fairly low tolerance, take about 3g/day so often when I get new strains I'll only take like .5-1g at first just to see its effects. Its kept me from getting too sedated or spaced out, very undesirable effects since I take kratom mainly during the day and I'm on call for my job a lot so gotta be ready to go. Hopefully that helps.

Bingo - IMO chemistry can be a big part of it. Some leaf is just not balanced well for how your body processes it, and some leaf is just not well balanced for anyone. Nobody knows the exact role the 24+ alkaloids play, but we have identified specific environmental characteristics that tend to correlate with how prominent it is in the final product. IMO, some of the most effective kratoms is balanced in such a manner where you can get benefits from increasing your serving size without as much of the bad effects that tend to take over at higher amounts.
In my completely unscientific opinion, some leaf just has a higher percentage of "x" alkaloids that are responsible for the wobbles, and that/those alkaloids are dominant when a specific "ceiling effect" occurs. I used to think that getting the wobbles with my normal serving size = more potent kratom. While that may be true sometimes (hence lowering serving size recommendation), sometimes it's just that the leaf that is not well balanced for you. I've had leaf before that no matter how little I took, I could feel that imbalance and didn't tolerate it well (while other said it was effective for them).
This is the kind of stuff that makes me want to go back to school to get my nerd-scientist degree. So many questions...

At least 6hrs spacing between doses is key. IF you’re only using 2.5g per dose but you’re dosing every couple hours you’re essentially stacking one pig dose all day. That’s how you run into tolerance problems and that contributes to wobbles. You’re body needs time to process the Kratom and return to baseline.Spencemastaflex wrote:Ok so is 2.5g too much? Re: Getting wobbles almost every day now..
I've witnessed someone take an entire ounce without any wobble/side effect issues. It's something I would have never initially imagined possible. However it seems sometimes specific batches have unusually high wobble thresholds that allowed them to do that. Same friend was not immune to wobble side effects from overdoing the frequency and maybe dose size of another batch we both tried. I had never experienced issues with it but, yeah, turns out I also started having problems if I tried taking it every 3 hours. Not that I recommend that - was just trying it out to get an idea of what was happening in this other person's experience. I've also had great batches that had lower wobble thresholds than kratom that was just okay. So the negatives aren't absolutely tied to the positives. Sometimes it's good kratom and just needs more restraint. The balance between its effectiveness and still having the opportunity to use regularly involves waiting at least 5 hours between doses for me. I'm on board with the suggestions to try waiting six hours, if you haven't figured things out by now.

Re: Getting wobbles almost every day now..
OP, Your dose size is not the same with every batch nor every color nor every blend nor every vendor.
If you’re not familiar with a particular batch and it being the first time taking that exact batch/strain I would suggest taking 0.50g LESS than you normally would.
Sometimes vendors hit at a gram Less*
than typical dose size you just never know!
Its all different
Some vendors have certain batches that are just reeally Strong! So be careful and make sure to use a Scale***
