Anyone else use oblates?

I frequently use the kite shaped potato starch bags to take my kratom.

Sometimes for travel I use the circular discs and wrap or twist up the bags and put them in a small container jammed in there so i can dose quickly on the run.

Sure do! I use the oblate pouches as well. They seem to be a little easier to prepare than the disc. The pouches are a little more expensive. 100 oblate pouches $10, 200 oblate disc $15 at amazon.

~2.5 is about the max, then i twist and lick the stem to hold it closed. Works well most of the time and holds tight at lower grams.

3g will fit nicely in a kite.

I just bought some discs myself (probably would have bought the bags, but I ordered the discs before I realized there were different options) and I've been experimenting with different ways to load them. Max seems to be 2.5g -3g. 3g is pretty tight but it's doable. These things kind of scare me though. They're so damn thin and every time I pop one in my mouth I'm terrified it's going to bust open and I'll start aspirating kratom powder. So far so good though! Beats individually loading up caps, that's for sure.

Yikes. Sounds very unpleasant. I've only used about 6 of them so far so I haven't had that happen yet. Did you notice any rhyme or reason to them breaking open?

Yes, it always happens if my mouth isn’t wet enough before. I’ve never tried the discs before, just the bags. I’m on a 2 day break right now but tomorrow I plan to try with the discs.

Note to self: wet mouth before ingesting an oblate.

The discs work pretty well, only tricky part is figuring out how to close them up. I've been putting the putting the powder directly in the middle of the circle, folding it in half, then folding the sides up and inward and sealing at the top.

It's tough to separate the bags so you get a single - there are 100 in a box, but I am not getting 100 bags no matter how hard I try to get them apart.

Why would you go from T&W to taking the oblate disk if the taste doesnt bother you? Been toss & washing for about 4 yrs now and never thought about parachuting kratom. Ugh, just the thought of swallowing a 3g pouch of kratom makes me stomach turn.

Why would you go from T&W to taking the oblate disk if the taste doesnt bother you? Been toss & washing for about 4 yrs now and never thought about parachuting kratom. Ugh, just the thought of swallowing a 3g pouch of kratom makes me stomach turn.

Not only the taste, but the texture is offputting. Swallowing an oblate is easy, toss n wash is gnarly. Chugging it is ok, but much prefer the bags.

Because I have asthma and have given myself more than one full on attack from inhaling powder. Just not worth the risk to me. Never had an oblate burst either. The trick is to dunk it in water and swallow it immediately.

I also have found to dipping in water helps tremendously. Just chase with water and your good. It is by far my favorite method. I also use the discs over the pouches but only because they are cheaper. Either way is easy once you get the hang of it.

Yes! I thought dunking it in water was the proper way to begin with? LOL. I can't even imagine having ~3g burst in your throat.

"Parachuting" is the perfect description. Yay! to those who like this option, but I even have trouble with pills/capsules. When I think of using oblates I have bad fantasies of being a "drug mule."

400 for $10 sounds like a pretty good deal. Even ebay - the place for deals - has mostly stuff from Japan (you might get a delivery in two weeks) and the prices are like $13 for 200.

I got them in under a week. Also I have found that they don't stick together like the other brands. It's the best deal I have found and well worth the price. I use them for maca powder too. I just dunk it then put in my mouth and chase with a drink quickly.You can always practice using sugar or something.
