Anyone tried TFH Sunset Bali yet?

My order should be here in a few days but I haven’t seen it mentioned so I’m curious what people think about it.

Mine is coming in the mail today, too! I'm assuming with a name like that, that Sunset Bali is good for evening relaxation. Will let everyone know as soon as I do. :)

I really enjoy the Sunset Bali and find it to be similar to Wild Crafted Gold, that i am a big fan of!
The Sunset Bali takes the edge off without sedation and i prefer it as late day wind down strain, nice for relaxing without too much sedation.
I think this will be great to blend with a faster Green or White for earlier in the day.

1800: I just took my evening dose:

1.5g mixed with a squirt of lemon juice, set for 5 minutes, then simmered for 10 minutes in 4 oz water and aeropressed.

Smell is more pumpkin like than hay or grass.
Taste is bitter with a sour/bile aftertaste that lingers for a minute.
Grind is fine. No grit or visable plant matter. It fairly dissolved into the water and didn't have a thick layer of mud in the aeropress after pressing.
The tea color is a nice bright amber leaning more yellow than red.

Onset: 45 minutes and I've already got some nice body tingles going on.

Just a side note: I just ate a steak and pasta salad so the initial impression may be milder for me than if I waited more time to eat. The burn isn't as effected by eating when I drink tea. If the effects are dulled at all by food, it doesn't usually last long, maybe 20 or 30 minutes, before it ramps back up to full strength.

1900: I can already feel the mood lift kicking in. Warm and happy.

Mood: 7/10
Pain relief: unk/10
Motivation: 4/10
Focus: 5/10
Energy: 5/10
Euphoria 7/10
Sedation: 2/10
Anxiolytic: 7/10
Appetite suppressant 2/10
Warmth: 6/10
Social: 7/10

2000: I'm warm, relaxed, and tingly. I could take a nap if I wanted to, with a smile on my face, but this doesn't feel overly sedating. I could definitely socialize without my anxiety flaring up or just sit on the couch and chat. On the pain relief side, my sciatica has decided to bother me a bit over the past couple of hours. This strain is dulling the pain a bit, but I probably wouldn't reach for this if I needed pain relief.

Mood: 7/10
Pain relief: 2/10
Motivation: 6/10
Focus: 6/10
Energy: 5/10
Euphoria 7/10
Sedation: 2/10
Anxiolytic: 8/10
Appetite suppressant 5/10
Warmth: 6/10
Social: 7/10

2100: 3 hours in to the burn now. I feel like this one peaked at around 2 hours. It's turning more sedating now, less warm and tingly. The anxiety relief and relaxation is still pretty great. And I'm oddly chatty, lol. I've texting like crazy for the past hour. I can only infer that this strain would be a great social enhancer based on that. Mix it with a speedier green or white and I bet it would make for a geeat night out blend. Pain relief is definitely not a strong point here.

Mood: 7/10
Pain relief: 2/10
Motivation: 4/10
Focus: 5/10
Energy: 4/10
Euphoria 6/10
Sedation: 5/10
Anxiolytic: 7/10
Appetite suppressant 4/10
Warmth: 4 /10
Social: 6 /10

2200: At the 4 hour mark now. Apparently the sedation was only because I was sitting still. When I got up to do some stuff around the house I'm pleasantly awake, just really relaxed, loose, and chill. I like not having to fight against the leaf if I choose to be awake. I don't think I would drive right now, though, unless I had some caffeine or a monster energy. I feel a little too relaxed to operate heavy machinery. The munchies have kicked in with a tiiiiny bit of itching, too. Tells me those mu receptors of mine are still being targeted. Definitely feels like this burn is wrapping up now.

Mood: 6/10
Pain relief: 2/10
Motivation: 4/10
Focus: 4/10
Energy: 4/10
Euphoria 4/10
Sedation: 4/10
Anxiolytic: 6/10
Appetite suppressant 4/10
Warmth: 4/10
Social: 6/10

Hope this helps anyone looking :D

Awe, you're so nice :D

I try to journal my first impressions of strains so I can "match" a strain to a need or situation in the future. I enjoy documenting the experience! I'll try to update through the burn so you can get an idea of peak time, legs, and any changes.
