Trouble finding stuff that works.

tl;dr Need to find more reds that work for me, but no luck after trying several good places. What's wrong with me?

Years ago I ordered my first kratom from Happy Hippo (their site described effects instead of random colors/locations) and fell in love. Never got the massive pain relief, but it's helped with energy, anxiety, and mood. HH was a great place to start, and after them was mostly Mystic Island until they switched suppliers. Now I'm using STH, but only the reds. I'd like a second supplier to be safe, but most of the stuff I try just doesn't work. At all.

I've tried most of the brands this forum seems to like the most. Sampled a variety of reds each time (other colors can aggravate my anxiety). But I've felt nothing with any of them. Got a whole bunch of Fused Flora, Botanical Bunny, and more in my kitchen now, and not a damn one did anything. I could take 1g, I could take 10g and feel nothing. Not even the bad effects from taking too much. STH and Hippo still work though.

I'd like to have more than one place I can go, in case STH closes or just stops being good to me. Plus, I have to stay in quarantine. I'm trying to come up with reasons I struggle finding brands that work. Anyone else have this problem? I've always had trouble getting fun drugs (pot is legal here) to work on me. I don't want the one thing I have that works to stop working, but maybe there's just something about my physiology? Dysautonomia and BP1, so my brain definitely doesn't work right in lots of ways.

Are you trying each strain a few times before giving up on it? Personally, I usually have to take a strain a couple times before it hits. It made it hard for me to branch out to new vendors in the beginning.

If it were me, I would order a number of samplers from reputable vendors. I would select 3 - 4 strains at a time that I'm going to rotate for a few days and try each 3 times before giving up on. Try to wait 12 hours between doses, never take >5 gram dose, on an empty stomach. Purchasing on the Trading Post might be an effective way to get large sampling.

I used to use HH, and MitraMan was the first vendor from this site that worked from me. I would also try TFH, Lucky, Denette. Sounds like you might have a unique chemistry, so might make sense to ignore particular strain reviews on this site and order blind.

IMO it's time to pass the word ~ Most kratom at harvest time, is "Red Vein" leaf. Over 90% of greens are red vein. "Strains" are fake, most ppl here on MM understand that.. but it's more than fake Malay and fake Thai names.

Batches and Colors! Not strains and veins! Green color powder is > Red color powder. Always look for green color "reds". Why do people think reds are stronger? Oxidized leaf / Sun dried leaf (aka Tarp dried ) is weaker than leaf carefully dried Indoors. Bentuangie "bents" or fermented leaf, is weaker than greenish powder. Dark Red, or brown powder... is Bent left in the bag too long. aka rotten!

ALL those vendors you mention: STH, Flora, Bunny... Best batches are always GREENs. Including PMD batches!

Just wanted to echo Greyfeather Liza's got some great reds red house and red crow red dragon off the top of my head but I have to say my favorite is her red haired stepchild or RHSC its a pain busting mix of reds ,good luck on your hunt

I'd try the small batch vendors aka MeWe vendors. Heaven Leaf , Soultanic, Nodfather, all have great reds or great leaf in general. Maybe grab some samplers off the trading post, like someone above mentioned? Hang in there you'll find something that works for you. I could send you some to try if you want? FireK probably has everything I have plus more though lol but I'll DM you.

I’ve had trouble finding stuff that works for my pain. Before I found doublem I did the Facebook thing and went through a bunch of bad vendors that didn’t work for me. I’ve found luck with mewe vendors more recently with rhino and nodfather. Their reds work wonderfully for me. I believe I’ve tried all mewe vendors mentioned on here and that’s where I’ve had the best luck. I’d definitely recommend any of them. Another vendor I’d recommend for reds is Kraydo his reds work great for me.

Mitra's Red Thai has been amazing for me. Great euphoria, energy (despite it being a red) and awesome pain relief. Highly recommended!
