Update 9/2 - Current Order and Shipping wait times, Raffle drawings, and Future event insight.
Hey Double M fam, I just wanted to provide a few updates on things that I know folks are wondering about. First, can I just say WOW... the community really came out for this event! Thank you everyone for your support and interest in our products! As always, it was a pleasure to serve everyone - I am seriously impressed with how patient everyone has been and how well folks followed our events instructions.... its been awesome!
Please see below for a couple of event updates...
1. We are more behind in processing orders than I think we have ever been before. I know that there are a lot of people who placed an order who have not yet heard from us. We are trying our very best to get caught up on things... thank you so much for being patient! Rest assured that if you have already placed an order, we will get to you. My goal is to have responded to all emails from the event by Friday morning (will post an update here if that timeframe changes). With that, if you haven't heard from us by then, please follow up with us to ensure we didnt miss you somehow (again check here first to see if there is another update).
2. We are going to do our very best to try and get all the orders that were paid for by the 29th out on Thursday. Admittedly, its a lofty goal so dont be concerned if you dont see your package ship that day... give us until Friday
3. I know some people squeezed in some orders after the event end-date. We will honor the late submissions orders and try our best to have them ship by Saturday. Again this may be a stretch - so dont panic if it doesn't happen. For sure everything from the event (and a couple of days after) will ship by Monday at the very latest.
4. A lot of folks are inquiring when the next event will be and the answer to that is unclear. Our inventory and bandwidth kind of dictate when we are able to share with the community. We would love to do an event sometime around Thanksgiving or Christmas - but that may not be realistic... we will see!
5. Raffle Drawings: I initially announced that we would be holding the first raffle on the 2nd, that date unfortunately is going to be pushed back. Since we are backed up on orders, our priority needs to be serving the folks who are still waiting on their order. Once all event orders have been fulfilled, I will announce the new dates for both drawings. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding with this, I am so sorry to keep you waiting!

We are now in "phase 2" of our event, meaning we will now process orders as soon as we possibly can. Please note that we are still trying to meet pre-order deadlines, so expect not to hear from us for a couple of days after submitting your order. Regarding the membership raffle - please note that both drawings will be held after the end of this event (the exact dates can be found in order instructions below). Folks have inquired if the numbers from our July event will be included in this raffle... its a great question. What we think we will do is have the pre-orders from this event in their own raffle, and then the 2nd raffle will include all numbers from July and August (since this event was really just the conclusion of the July event). We are back! As many of you know we had to end our July event a week early due to sell-through, so we came back in August to "finish what we started". We are very excited to share some of our latest offerings exclusively with the Double M community! Also, in step with our last event, everyone who places an order during this event will be entered into a special raffle drawing for permanent TFH membership (see full details of the raffle further down in this post).
During these community events, we experience an incredibly high volume of orders that are always a struggle for us to keep up with. With that, we would ask for your help in advance by reading the first half the post below before submitting your order. (the second half is optional but is recommended for the best experience) During this event we are NOT able to operate like your regular online vendor - reading the info below will help ensure that your order goes smoothly and your experience is a positive one!
To start things off, I want to share the overall cadence of the event so folks can plan their participation accordingly. Our August return consists of 2 separate stages as outlined below:
EXPIRED Stage 1 - Pre-Orders (August 16th – August 22nd): We will kick off this event with a one-week pre-order period beginning Sunday, August 16th. Please expect that during this time-frame our email response will be very spotty (possibly more than 48 hours), but rest assured all orders we receive by the 20th will be processed in time to ship on the 24th. Pre-Orders that process on the 21st-22nd will likely ship by the 26th. *Note - we may ship some pre-orders early. Please notate in your order email if you DO NOT want your order to ship early for any reason.
Also, each pre-order will contain TWO raffle tickets for our special membership raffle.
Stage 2- The Live Event (August 23 – August 30): Our “live ordering period” will last for 1 week. During this time, we will have a more regular operating cadence and orders will be processed/shipped daily. During this time please allow up to 48-72 hour email response time. All "live" orders will receive ONE ticket for our special membership raffle.
Your Experience:
We are eager to share what we have been working on lately but want to first give some context to how we are currently operating in hopes of improving everyone’s experience. The large volume of orders we receive during these events paired with COVID-19 means that we will without a doubt be stretched beyond our bandwidth. Out of an abundance of caution, Angie and Chris have self-quarantined and taken over 100% of all business operations to ensure our family and our products will not be exposed to a carrier of COVID-19. Unfortunately, this means that all emails and orders are being fulfilled by just two people at a time of incredibly high volume (we would normally have extra staff during business peaks). A major change in how we are operating is that we are currently on a 24-72 hour email response cycle (meaning it can take up to 2-3 days for us to respond to each email you send). Whatever can be done to eliminate back and forth emails will greatly improve the speed of which your order is processed - for that reason I highly reccomend reading the information below carefully before submitting an order.
How To Order: During this special event, Double M members may place orders by emailing us at [email protected]. Below you will find the exact format we request that you use to submit your order.
IMPORTANT We absolutely love engaging with our customers, it is one of the primary reasons we prefer to serve our regular customers personally over email instead of our website. While we normally enjoy providing order recommendations that are tailored to our member's preference profiles, during these events we just don’t have the capacity to provide that concierge-level of service. We would appreciate your understanding and partnership to help us serve our customers as quickly as possible. With the cost of time in mind, we would ask that you try and refrain from asking for personalized assistance (batch recommendations, batch descriptions, etc...). If you feel that an inquiry is required, it’s good to know in advance what kind of information we can/cannot provide. With that, if you are considering asking a question, we would kindly ask that you read the section titled "Order Recommendations" further down in this post before submitting an order. Below is a breakdown of the order format:
1. Your Double M Screen Name - This event is for the Double M community members only (we have no affiliation with the Double M website or its administrators – we are just fans of the folks who make up this community). During these events we get a lot of "long-time lurkers" who admittedly create logins just to place orders - that’s totally fine! We hope more folks come out of the woodwork and decide to stick around and engage with the community!
2. Your Shipping Information (name and address). Providing this information up front will greatly expedite the ordering process…. Don’t forget it!
3. Batch Name and Batch Code - List what you want to order, in the quantities you want them. Be sure to list the batch (strain) name AND batch code - it helps ensure we are on the same page! (see menu link below for our current offering, pricing, and shipping information).
*Note that some batches have a “100g bags only” designation. Although you may order as many of these batches as you like, they may only be purchased as individual bags – meaning they cannot be combined for a bulk discount or make up part of a split kilogram. It’s important to note that these designations are a result of our inventory management system and have nothing to do with the quality of the said batch.
4. Substitution Options We highly reccomend you provide several "backup options" (substitutions) in the event that one of the items you requested is sold out by the time we get to your order. If we dont have substitutions for you and an item has sold out, we will need to exchange a few emails to inform you and align on what you want to replace it with. Unfortunately, due to our current email cadence, that can take a day or two. A couple of days could be the difference between you getting your first "backup option" or having to settle for 4th or 5th because your "backup options" have sold out too!
Whats Next? - Upon us reading your email, we will respond with your order total, tracking information and payment instructions. Please note that your transaction is not complete until you submit payment and send us an email with your payment confirmation details (as outlined in the payment instructions you will receive). This email from you is what triggers us to finalize the order – so don’t forget it!

Order Recommendations - If you are anything like I was back in the day, and you’re going email your vendor asking for recommendations when trying to get acquainted with a new menu. Before you fire up that email, please take a moment to read through the below.
• Stand Out Batches (aka what are your best strains?) - It’s important to note that nothing makes our menu unless it scores above a specific quality threshold by consumers (many of them members of this community). We send out thousands of test samples a year to our customers and members of this community in exchange for their private feedback via our online survey. This practice allows us to “weed out” all of the poor and average quality batches (powdered batches and/ leaves that do not meet our high-quality threshold are liquidated and/or sold to other producers in Indonesia). Normally asking a vendor for any “stand-out” batches is a good approach, but with us, it’s a little different. By the nature in which we compile our menu, there are no “stand-outs” – nearly all of our menu batches scores within a similarly narrow range. If you ask “what’s are your best greens right now” – the answer is none. Although we take a data-driven approach to filtering out the low and average quality batches, it should be known that this does not mean that every batch will automatically be a winner for every person… unfortunately, that is just the nature of the leaf. In fact, it’s uncommon to have a batch where 85% - 90% + of individuals rate a batch above a “7.5” in overall quality (on a 1-10 scale). No matter how well received a batch is, there will always be a low percentage of folks who don’t “see what is so special”. However, we do believe that our process results in a higher percentage of batches working well for most people - we think the majority of folks who have purchased from us previously will testify such. However, if it’s your first time ordering with us, please have realistic expectations. We put a ton of work into bringing the best to our menu… but it’s still a fickle leaf.
• Need Expert Advice? The forum is a fantastic place for peer insights on specific batches and vendors. In my opinion, the folks who frequent this forum are among the most knowledgeable consumers in the kratom world… this is the de facto spot to hear from the true connoisseurs. The "search bar" is an invaluable tool that should be leveraged heavily while conducting "research" (either type a batch name or "TFH" to find information on our batches). However, take it all in with a large grain of salt - as there are good reasons to do so. (see the next point)
• But Where is it "On the Spectrum" - Conducting consumer testing to gain on a consensus on a batch’s overall quality is extremely valuable... you can absolutely gain valuable insights as to what batches stand apart. However, when it comes to measuring other characteristics of a batch, the data gets a lot more inconsistent and less reliable. Much of one’s perceived effects of kratom are altered by personal chemistry, consumer habits, and length of history with kratom (if I have time before the event, I will write a public post on how varied consumer perception is when it comes to specific traits of a batch – especially regarding where batches land on “the spectrum”). One thing that most folks don’t realize is that It's pretty rare to have a strong consensus as to where a batch “lands on the spectrum” when surveyed in a blind study. As it turns out, when it comes to where a batch is on the spectrum, humans are very easily influenced by the power of suggestion and other variables (we have the empirical data to prove it). For this reason, we prefer not to give “spectrum” recommendations based on our data or customer feedback – it’s just personally uncomfortable to advise on something that you know is not as concrete as the person who is asking assumes…. it feels a little misleading. However, if you do ask for recommendations, we want to preface it by sharing that our guidance is our personal opinion, your mileage may vary.
• Just Ask - There are plenty of batches on our menu from the last event, it should not be hard to find reviews for some of the items you are interested in (remember the note above regarding long-standing menu items). However, because we are not normally open to the public, there may be a lack of reviews for some of our newer batches. If you don’t see reviews for a specific batch that you are curious about just make a public post requesting info. The chances are that a few folks here in the community have tested it and will gladly give their 2 cents. Simple.
• But Dont Ask This - Finally, as a dietary supplement, kratom does not perform any of the federally approved functions that are reserved for an OTC or prescription drugs (treating ailments or conditions, cure disease, etc..). With that, we would ask that you do not send us inquiries that should be reserved for a pharmaceutical such as, “What batches are good for XYZ“ or “I take kratom for XYZ, can you point me to a few batches that are good for that?”. If you inquire about a non-approved function, we will address your question, but you probably will not receive the information you are seeking. Unfortunately, the additional emails exchanged may result in delays with your order.
More Info Regarding Substitutions:
Some items during our community events sell out incredibly fast - its possible that by the time we get to your order email some of the items you selected are sold out. With that being the case, it is HIGHLY recommended that you include multiple substitution options when submitting your order. The substitutions you provide will be used if:
1. An item you requested is sold out.
2. You requested a 250g, 500g, or 1000g of an item that is now only available in 100g bags (our products are pre-packaged in a specific quantity of each bag size).
If a substitution option was used to fill your order, that item will arrive with a sticker on it that says "substitution". You will not receive a separate email notification that a substitution was used. You will receive a communication from us regarding sold out items if you:
1. Did not provide any substitution options in your original order
2. The substitution options you provided are no longer available
At the rate in which items sell out, it's extremely beneficial for you to provide several substitution options whenever sending your order - this will increase the odds of you receiving the items you are targeting. If you do not provide substitution options, we will need to exchange additional emails to complete your order (as more items sell out in the several days between our communications).
Order Cadence[/b] IMPORTANT Information you DO NOT want to miss (or frustration may ensue)
We treat an email as an “order form” and will fulfill orders in the order we receive them. Once you submit your email, your "place in line" is reserved. IMPORTANT - Normally we get to customer emails pretty quick, but during an open-order event that timeframe can extend to 1-3 days. It’s important that you know that our inbox is organized in “conversation form” with the oldest unread email thread first. As a result, you should know that sending a second email in the same thread will bump your order to the back of the line. If your order is taking awhile and send a second email to follow up, it will likely have the opposite effect you were intending (moving you to the back of the line again). We would strongly ask that all messages relating to one order be kept within the same email chain to prevents mistakes and miscommunication on our end. However, if you are worried that we somehow missed your order and want to follow up – please do so with a separate (new) email so that your original message does not get bumped back unintentionally.
TFH Membership Raffle - As many of the fine folks of the Double M community know, TFH is a private membership company - meaning that outside these special open-order events, there are no opportunities for non-members to access our offerings. Having to limit access to our products is not something we take joy in, but we assure you our motivations for doing so have the customers' interest in mind. With that said, we are thrilled to share that we will be bringing back the membership raffle for this event! Please see the details below:
What: We will be conducting a raffle in which the winners will receive an invitation for permanent TFH membership. Within each order, you will find either 1 or 2 little blue raffle tickets that potentially have the winning number printed on them (you will receive 2 tickets per pre-order, 1 ticket per live event order). We will be holding two separate drawings for winning tickets. The winning numbers will be announced on the forum. If your number is posted, please contact us via email to confirm your membership!
When: There will be two separate drawings of numbers - September 1st and September 8th. All purchasers during the pre-order period are eligible for both drawings, and purchases during the live event (after pre-orders) will be eligible for the 2nd drawing only. *Note - you do not have to "claim your prize" the day of the drawing - so dont worry if you haven't received your package by the time of the drawing.
Where: The winning ticket numbers will be posted as an update at the top of this post. Be sure to check back here on the corresponding dates to see if you are a winner.
Why: We have been promising for a loooooong time that we would be looking for a fair and creative way to expand our membership so that it included more members of the Double M community. A special drawing among the folks who have supported us with their business seems like a fair and balanced way to offer membership.
USPS Delays - Please note that some (not all) USPS Priority shipments are currently experiencing delays. About 50% of the time, Priority Mail's two-day and three-day service commitments are being extended to three days and four days, respectively. Although rare, some deliveries have taken one-week or longer. If your tracking displays "In Transit, Arriving Late" please note that your package is NOT lost. Although poorly crafted, this message is intended to reassure you that there is not a problem with your package, it will just be arriving late. Most of the time this message updates itself in 2-5 days, but I have seen them take up to 10 days:( . Unfortunately, we are unable to do anything to expedite packages with this shipment status - USPS will not give us as the sender any additional information. We expect that some people's packages may take an unusually long time to deliver due to the current shipping obstacles - we would ask for your patience and understanding if you experience delays.

1. May I make multiple Orders? People often ask if placing more than one order per event is allowed. The answer is yes - more than half of our open-order event customers place multiple orders (I think we had somebody place 10 separate orders in our last event
2. Do you offer wholesale pricing? May I resell TFH Products as my own brand? – We have plenty of kratom vendors who are regular customers, but we do not offer wholesale pricing, nor do we allow the purchase of our products with the intent of reselling them. While we expect to see our products posted on the buy/trade forums, we would ask that you NOT make purchases specifically with the intent of re-selling them for profit in the future. We would absolutely support you selling some of your stock in the spirit of sharing/trading or getting rid of something that doesn’t mesh well with you. We would just kindly ask that you please resell our products at a reasonable market rate if you decide to do so.
3. My bills don’t allow me to make a purchase this month… can I place an order now and complete it at a later date? We understand that it may not be convenient for everyone to place an order during the limited period of time that the event is live. Our intent is to share what we have been working on exclusively with any members of this community who are interested. We are not going to get hung up on the date on a if that is the factor prohibiting any of our peers from completing an order. If the dates of the event are not compatible with your current situation, please just shoot us an email to let us know that you plan to make a purchase after the event has ended. We can then arrange for a later date for you to send over your order.
4. TFH Membership –If I order during an event, do I become a permanent TFH member? How do I become a member? Sadly, the answer is no – this event is for temporary access to our products. While we value every member of this community, we are unable to accommodate membership to most of the folks here at this time. We periodically invite few folks here and there (mostly product testers), but there is currently no set structure or path to membership (which is what people usually ask). If we get to a place where we are looking for a major expansion of our base, we will devise a structured plan for membership… and we will absolutely start by accepting members from this community!

ARCHIVED UPDATES:
8/7 Update - I just wanted to make a quick update regarding our upcoming event. In a previous comment I had mentioned that we might open back up as early as August 7th, however, its actually going to be August 16th. Ill add more details as we get closer to the event, but in general, we will be accepting pre-orders for a period of 1 week starting the 16th, followed by a week of being open for "live orders".
We will have plenty of new items on the menu - we have a bunch in testing as we speak that are looking pretty fantastic! We might even be able to get a True-Malaysian batch on the menu if we can get the labs back quickly enough. (we are waiting for another shipment to arrive before we send our next round of samples off to the lab).

Update 7/17 - Finishing what we started - We have heard the feedback loud and clear that the early closure of the July event caught folks off-guard. Understandably, some folks were disappointed that we didnt hold to the dates that we initially advertised (a very fair critique). With that, Angie and I have decided that we will return in August for a period of one week to finish out the event. This will give us some time to regroup and get more products through our consumer testing process. The exact dates are tentative, but we are going to shoot to open somewhere around August 16th for a period of 7 days (the amount of time we cut the July event short).

7/14 Update - Early Closure Announcement - We have been having a blast engaging with the community during this event, the outpour of support has been truly humbling! Unfortunately, Its been so humbling that we are going to need to shut down the fun about week sooner than we originally planned.... you all have nearly bought us out! With that, the last day for folks to participate in this event will be Thursday, 7/16. We will still hold our second raffle at a later date that is to be determined.

Live Event Update 7/11/20 - Hey everyone, I just wanted to provide a quick update to let everyone know our current status with orders. We just finished packaging all of the 2nd rounds of pre-orders and are now shifting our focus live orders. With that, we are about 72 hours behind in replying to orders/emails, so dont be discouraged if you haven't heard from us yet (all emails are answered in the order in which we receive them).
