Ok so I'm just curious....I see a lot of people mixing their own Kratom "batches" and usually they will use 2 different kinds. Can you use 3? Or 4? Depending on your needs? I'm just curious. Or would using that many just throw off the balance of the leaf too much and the burn becomes a dud. I'm honestly just curious how far you could take this whole mixing thing. If this is a super dumb question just let me know, won't hurt my feelings one little bit!!

I do blends with three strains sometimes. Like a blend with equal parts white, green, and red. Or one that's a mix of two greens, with a couple grams of red added to it for pain relief. It's really up to you. I don't know how much of a difference it really makes, but just experiment until you find something that works for you. I dont think blending with 3+ strains will result in a dud, not a dumb question either. There really isn't a right or wrong way to take kratom...to an extent. Of course you wouldn't want to boof it, but you know what I mean.

I also make blends from time to time. In my opinion there are no rules but occasionally some blends seem to fall flat. I remember at one point I thought that I couldn't blend a green with a yellow (alone). I would get agitated and it seemed to make me anxious in its own way and not in a good way. However, I eventually tried it again with a TFH Yellow and some KOG Real Green Malaysian and it worked great. Good synergy. Just another example of just playing around with it until you find something that works.
I also cycle blends. I'll do blends for a couple of weeks and then go back to alternating colors to keep my tolerance in check. I'll avoid all whites and yellows for a few days then avoid all greens and golds for a few days while avoiding blends all together. I think it helps a little. Just my experience.

All the time, especially at night, I will blend a red with a gold and a yellow, or two different reds with a slower green. Last night I mixed Botanical Bunny's Premium Wild Red with the last of Rhinos Red River and added a pinch or two of Rhinos green Borneo and TFH's Mellow Yellow. It was a really smooth bit brightening night blend, but I probably could have gone with the reds and a noce, slower yellow Vietnam and I'd be in heaven.
I also made my own mix of many red strains and it is nice. There are probably over 10 different vendors and strains of assorted reds in my ball jar of mystery. Could be up to 20.
During the day, my pain decides if I am to blend. A bad day, I reach for my TFH Classic RMD, which to me is stimulating. I will chase it with a less expansive dose of a gold, yellow, green, or another red that offers a different kind of mood lift and less stimulating. The point is not exceeding the max dosage I can take before getting the wobbles. The first dose of the day is usually one red, straight with no chasers, and if I'm reviewing anyone's kratom at the time, I choose that and take those consistently, no blends, until my reviews are done. (I wish I had more reviews to give!)

I do the same. I love to blend (I always have; I even used to blend soda flavors when I was a little kid....no wonder I wound up tending bar for many years). Last month, I decided to do single "strains" only and it was like getting a big new assortment of kratom; most of them felt new and hit really well. Then my burns started decreasing in unique feel for me, so I dosed really low for a couple of days, and then started blending again. I've been having great luck with some blends and I also think it helps to keep my tolerance down. I've also done three-way blends but for me, two is enough. I once read a post by a guy who took all the various bits of kratom that accumulated from tons of strains in the bottom of his drawer and mixed them together. He said it wound up being a great burn, so who knows? Mysterious leafguitartodd77 wrote: I also cycle blends.
