Experiences with express shipping?

I've only ever used express shipping once or twice, years ago, but now I'm finding myself in a place where I need to use it again, in part due to the current mail situation

Anyone use it that much? Is it worth it (I think it's like $16 or so more than priority)? Does it arrive overnight or is it usually like 2 days? I'm going to make an order tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, and hoping the vendor will get it out same day so I get it by Thursday, but not sure how that works. Any help is appreciated, thanks

Express shipping is either next day or two day, it depends on what shipping zone you are in. There is a webpage on the USPS site where you can type in the two addresses to see if it's one day or two day.

I'm sure that if your vendor is aware that you are wanting an express order that they would get it out ASAP. Good luck!

Here's how it went. Placed order Tuesday at 9:30am ET (vendors same day cutoff is noon et). Receive tracking around 5pm. Arrives at vendor's regional sorting facility 7pm. Day 2 Wednesday arrives at the main hub in my area 9am. Reaches my town at 2:30pm, available for pick up. Day 3 Thursday delivered to home address 930am.

So about 48 hours. I have had regular priority packs arrive in the same amount of time occasionally, but for an extra $16 I'd say it's worth it for the additional peace of mind, if you are in a tight spot.
