Strong Phantom metallic chemical or essential oil smell after taking multiple strains from the same vendor

Hi everyone. This is my first post here. I have been taking Kratom now everyday for 13 years

This month was the first time this has happened, but after taking a certain vendors kratom I get this strong metallic essential oil smell that I just can't shake. For some reason its only these two strains from the same vendor doing this.

Its really strong and keeps me from smelling anything else. Its very overpowering and follows me everywhere. Almost seems like its coming from inside my nose. Weird right ?

If this isn't normal or something the community knows about I would now be curious where I could get my Kratom lab tested at.

Would anyone know a good lab to test Kratom?

No, it's definitely not. You could always try holding a magnet to it to see if there's any reaction.
How much of it did you purchase?

Hi, it was 3 kilos.

I suspect it was because these came in plastic instead of my typical mylar bags and something got to them .

This 3 kilos was in storage for 3-4 months before I used it. I haven't had that problem before

I found a lab that will test , but can't decide if I should test for biological contaminates or others. My instinct tells me its biological .

Ive never heard of anything like that. I would reccomend letting your vendor know so they can look into it and replace your product.

I believe lab tests are rather expensive, and wouldn't be worth it for only three kilos (though that's still a lot of money to be out of if it's bad). Imo, that's something your vendor should probably already do, or if not, refund/replace. I doubt keeping it in storage for a short time would create an effect like that.

Has anyone else tried it? Maybe there's an environmental anomaly, or due to the use of the bags, and it's tricking your brain. It's worth a try to have someone else test it; it would be a quick, cheap way to get peace of mind, if nobody else detects it (or processes it as something else).
