Kratom drink recipes. I can’t toss and wash anymore
I’ve been tossing and washing and washing some more for years now. At this point I want to start making kratom drinks that actually taste good and sipping like a normal beverage, but everything I mix kratom with tastes like garbage. Anyone have any drink recipes to completely mask the taste of a potent leaf?

Re: Kratom drink recipes. I can’t toss and wash anymore
It's not really a "recipe" but when I make my tea, I filter it through an aeropress and pour the resulting liquid into either orange juice or coffee. If you find that the 1:1 ratio doesn't mask the taste enough, try one part tea to two parts OJ/coffee. In most cases I don't even taste the kratom anymore - but I also filter out the powder. If you keep it in I imagine you'd still taste it somewhat.
Maybe run a search for the red bubble technique on here? There are some folks who do that and then make smoothies instead of tea, and keep the powder in. I've done that a few times myself but my blender is so annoying to work with that I just went back to the previous method.

Weight lose kratom recipe.
2 or 3 small fresh cucumbers. or store bought will work too, Chopped up into a blender.
1or 3 table spoon of raw honey.
1 teaspoon of tumeric and can also add some black pepper if wish.
Almond milk or coconut water or plain water will work.
half or full lemon juice squeeze.
Blend it all, and sip away.
Fresh cucumbers help make you get thin and lose weight if you can get a hold of them. Cucumbers make your brain recover faster from damages. Main thing is keeping up with it everyday.

Mine is simple... Shaker bottle with 1/2 bottle of Sparkling Ice water. They sell it at Dollar General and on Amazon. If you add a squirt of lemon juice, that helps break down the powder as well.

yep I just wrote out a Red Bubble recipe on another thread like 4 days ago? the Search Bar is your friend!Sanbutsushin wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 1:01 pm Maybe run a search for the red bubble technique on here? Once you go Tea, you'll never go back to choking on raw powder... eeeww!
I mean, it's a raw Herbal Tea... Really no different in composition than Matcha Tea = A type of tea where you pour hot water, over the powder... Stir around and drink the entire cup. Including the Tea sludge at bottom of cup. (Kratom Tea IS better served cold, not hot!!) Yes, that's Matcha Tea... sold in every supermarket. Why isn't Kratom sold exactly the same ??
IMO there's two basic kinds: Filtered Tea, using an Aeropress (again, Search Bar!) or other filter method... and Red Bubble which softens up the powder, actually liquifies some of the powder, and... When you got liquid, it's easy to add flavoring!! Whole section of flavorings in the supermarket. It's weird the majority of Kratom folks don't even know about this ?? But complain about "yucky taste". I told someone on Reddit the other day: Dude. Get some MiO. Crystal Light. Stur. even Tang!
Banned on Reddit: KratomVendors is now on SAIDIT!

Re: Kratom drink recipes. I can’t toss and wash anymore
Why can't you toss & wash? It is the taste, or owing to gastro issues, or both?
I make tea due to gastro issues. In my experience, there is absolutely no kratom tea mixer that doesn't taste better without kratom tea in it.
I prefer to brew the tea strong -- 2 grams or more per ounce -- like, 64 grams powder brewed into about 40 ounces of water, I end up with a quart or slightly less of tea what with evaporation and moisture retained by strained product.
Anyhow, I knock back my Kratom shots, then follow it up with grapefruit juice or seltzer or a handful of black or red grapes to cleanse my palate. I will say that occasionally I forget to steep the kratom tea in lemon before brewing and omitting that step makes the tea taste much worse.
But even if I could come up with a fabulous formula for a delicious tea -- why would I want to sip it at leisure?
Kratom works best on an empty stomach ... it's bad enough waiting for it to hit (as a painkiller) so I can have breakfast.
UPDATE: I am ordering oblate pouches from Amazon (you can fit more than the round disks -- I think I can pack my whole dose in one.) There is a vendor selling square oblate papers that supposedly fit a ton of Kratom but they are made of cornstarch ... not sure with my gut issues that it will dissolve as readily as the Japanese oblates which tend to be made from potato or tapioca starch.
Anyhow, they are supposed to be really easy to swallow and dissolve much faster than capsules (supposedly as fast as toss and wash) so that may be an option for you if your tasty tea recipes aren't tasty enough.

I heat 1/3 cup water until just too hot to drink, stir in my 2g powder, the stir in 2g Nestles hazelnut creamer. If the creamer doesn't dissolve, heat the whole thing up a little more. Then drink it down, adding a little cool water if it's still too hot. I can't say it tastes good, but it doesn't taste bad either. I've used this for the last 5 years & never had to worry about choking nor bad taste.

I actually filmed a short video response to your question via Amazon last evening but I decided to hold off posting it for the moment so I could demonstrate how they dissolve. But all in all, the cornstarch will have no bearing the digestion of kratom, or any other herb. It's no different than taking the pure powder. In short, although corn starch in large quantities can not breakdown fully, our current papes are around 20 microns thick, so once they're dipped in water within minutes (if they already haven't broken due to esophageal friction) they will have broken into many small pieces.
However, we are updating our papes to potato starch and releasing them on Wednesday (June 16th)! Along with these new squares we're also releasing our own pouches. I'll throw some more pictures up shortly, but you can expect them to be the dopest dope of any oblate before

I am in no way biased whatsoever.. lol. But really, coming from someone who's done all types of tea recipes and other weird ass concoctions, toss n washes for years, another couple years of eating TP, and then finally oblates and then our papes.. our films are the literal easiest method around.
In fact, I'd be willing to send anyone here in this thread a small sample pack of our new square papes releasing Wednesday, so you can see for yourselves. Send me a DM with your address, I'll get them out today if you get them in before 3pm EST. Tomorrow if not.

I can honestly say I have been using Blate Papes for a long time and since I started using them, I have never had to taste kratom again. I used to dread taking kratom, now it takes me just a few seconds and I am on my way. I also take maca root powder daily and it works nice for that too. I can't recommend them enough.

This is awesome! Thank you so much for the feedback! It's legit that right there that keeps us making moves everyday. We're still constantly improving because we want everyone to know how important of a product our films are for the future of herbs and health supplementation. We also care deeply about the kratom community, so if anyone is wondering about them, shoot me a dm and I can get out a single-serving sample to you.HouseDogPartyFavor wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 2:19 pm I can honestly say I have been using Blate Papes for a long time and since I started using them, I have never had to taste kratom again. But without thread hijacking, I personally stopped tossing years ago once I discovered papes were possible.

I do have some of your paper, but have not used them yet since I had a bulk order of the Japanese ones from Amazon that are already open. Other than using oblates, I do hot water and lemon juice with an OJ chaser and just chug it. I like lemon juice as is anyway and it covers up the crap taste of the leaf too. Really all you get from this method is the grittiness of the powder, no big deal for me.BlatePapes wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 2:51 pmThis is awesome! Thank you so much for the feedback! I always liked it with coffee and some hazelnut creamer, mixing a little cinnamon in with the kratom also was pleasant

Hey man, whatever works! By the way, unsure of how long ago you got them but we've changed the films to make them more similar to the Japanese brands. You may still have the old papes, but in case you do, they are different for if you ever reorder lol.Bubba5150 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 10:46 am I do have some of your paper, but have not used them yet since I had a bulk order of the Japanese ones from Amazon that are already open. Pretty recent purchase and I just opened them to try them because I like the size of them way bigger than my Japanese ones. Same film as the Japanese but can fit more leaf which I like and still fold them properly unlike the Japanese ones so kudos to you good job!BlatePapes wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 6:17 pmHey man, whatever works! Re: Kratom drink recipes. I can’t toss and wash anymore
So I can't toss n wash, so I was mixing powder in oj and it masked the flavor pretty well. But then that became too much calories/sugar so I switched to Powerade zero. Still masks the bitterness but no calories/sugar.
However it's not something I'd want to just sit around and sip on. I have made Kratom chocolates that masked the flavor pretty much completely. They were actually quite delish and packed a punch. Let me know if you want the recipe!

Warm water, raw honey, Kratom. That's it. Both of those things increase bioavailability greatly. Honey also helps keep your tolerance down.

Mix it with lime or lemon juice into a slurry before adding hot water into a tea.
I don't know why more don't do this. The citric acid breaks down the cell walls of the kratom leaf powder and changes its consistency entirely. I find it also kicks in faster and is easier to digest. Great with honey added and maybe a pinch of cayenne.

I can’t stand the taste of kratom in any way shape , or form.I used to use capsules then discovered blateplates. The guy has every reason to be passionate about his product they perform great, and eliminates all kratom taste. I’m not sure the max you could put in one but I wouldn’t go past four grams personally. I used to have to swallow capsules that took forever to digest. Then I found oblates ,and haven’t looked back. I’ve ordered from blateplates a few times so far having zero complaints. They have the best oblates I think.

Oh thank you for that JKing. We still want to make the whole process of taking kratom with edible films better for everyone. So we're working on adding more value to them as we speak. If anyone ever has any improvements, JKing and anyone else reading this, we WANT to know them. I promise, we will listen.Jking wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 10:23 am I can’t stand the taste of kratom in any way shape , or form.I used to use capsules then discovered blateplates. Funny story, the very light-colored labels we have was an accident... I swear the label producers we use must think we sell a child's play toy or something when they printed our colors so light. In time though, they'll be darker and more bad ass.. lol.

When you were talking about light-colored labels I thought you did what I thought would be cool: colored oblates in red, green, white, yellow, gold, pink, tri-color, etc., so when you make them in advance you can separate them by strain color or blend. They could be colored with natural veggies or spices like turmeric for yellow, cayenne for red (or whatever is used in all natural foods). I may have to receive a stake in your company for my idea (been watching a lot of Shark Tank lately).BlatePapes wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 11:55 am JKing and anyone else reading this, we WANT to know them. At first I thought yes BUT the whole purpose of oblates is to NOT taste the kratom AND they dissolve too fast to enjoy any flavor. They must be surrounded with liquid and swallowed immediately or they dissolve in your mouth or throat and boom, it's like a T&W gone wrong!

Hahah awesome. Thanks you guys!
And we love Shark Tank yo! That may be possible down the road. But I do know the starch gelatinizing process is actually extremely delicate. Not in and of itself, but when trying to add other stuff to it, it really doesn't like that for some reason. We will consider it when we do eventually start tinkering with the process on our own.
That's actually why the flavored oblates from Japan, (there's strawberry and grape already) took a long time to manufacture and patent (I learned this because we work closely with the top Japanese manufacturer). But the only problem is that they had to use aspartame and artificial colors, and we're strongly against that.
The current flavored oblates are more of a gimmick than a benefit honestly. But that's only because everyone we've spoken to says that you can't taste it at all when going down lol, which makes sense. And eating it just to eat it would be a waste. (people do that in Japan though lol.. like My Strange Addiction) Maybe if and when we do it, we'll just spray the outside with a natural oil-based flavor/smell. I think on the outside it would actually work. But not when produced within the starch itself like the Japanese ones.
We ARE however looking into oil-based natural inks in which customers could write or draw onto our squares. We we're thinking it'd be great for decorating foods for kids parties, bridal parties, baby showers, etc. (You can actually float a drawing in an oblate atop a cappuccino by this method)

Re: Kratom drink recipes. I can’t toss and wash anymore
Blate Papes, I saw your video on FB, very good. I fold and take mine differently but it works. I fold the sides in first, then lick the top fold and fold straight down. I don't dunk first or put in a drink, I put it on my tongue then immediately surround it with liquid and swallow. If mine gets the least bit wet there's a hole in it. Are yours possibly a bit thicker than the ones sold on Amazon?

Oh awesome! Thanks for watching that! We just filmed another short explanation of all three ways to use them I will upload today, probably just to our story and to a few kratom groups.Lokey wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 12:50 pm Blate Papes, I saw your video on FB, very good. Honestly, ours are made in constantly fresh batches, and as such may be better in that sense than older imported versions. But, they're not going to be much different in terms of usability. Next month we are increasing the count of our pouches to 120 per box, making them a better value than any Japanese version.
We DO have a formula we have been testing for our squares... potato starch, grapeseed oil and sunflower lecithin. Those are VERY strong, and even if you have a little moisture on your hands, they still are usable and don't get any holes.
The only reason we haven't made them via this method in mass is because the thinner they are, the safer they are to use. If they're too thick and they're filled very very high, they can actually become a choking hazard for some people. This is why we prefer to tell everyone to drop the entire thing in water and nudge it to the side of the glass.
When the whole thing is dropped in water, they completely saturate, making them fully mold to your throat and be much easier to swallow.
But back to your question.. as annoying as it may be at times, we recommend everyone completely dry their hands with a towel before use if they're prone to sweaty hands (like I am, personally.. so I feel your pain :/)

Well I finally made some red bubble which turned out well. I used a lot of lemon about 4 grams probably cup of water I just filled a half pint jar must the way up with water temp 170. Let steep for half hour with lid on froze 12 hours thawed it then added a little more water with honey, and sugar. I also strained this mixture before drinking. It was about a solo cup worth of liquid that was actually only somewhat unpleasant to drink a first for me. I think with a aeropress I could filter if better but I like the red bubble technique. Still prefer using blade plates.
