Gonna run out of Kratom tomorrow and I'm broke as shit. So I'm looking at supplements I already have that may help ease the enevitable and need advice
I read something about Vitamin C in doses of around 4-6 grams a couple times a day can elevated most of the flu like symptoms in opiate WD. Curious if this would work for Kratom too or am I just gonna make things worse by feeling like garbage and being stuck on the toilet like a dummy
What I have is sodium ascorbate powder.
If anyone has tried it good or bad, let your boy know! Thanks guys
I've never heard of vitamin C alleviating withdrawal from opioids, but that much vitamin C will certainly increase your chances of developing kidney stones. Talk to your primary care physician and let them know what's about to happen regarding withdrawal, they might be in a compassionate mood and prescribe Clonidine and a Benzodiazepine (Valium, Ativan, Xanax etc.), which in my experience is essentially the only thing that really helps to alleviates some of the symptoms associated with opioid, or opioid like WD. Good luck.
Coming from a former heroin addict vitamin c helping withdrawals is nonsense; taking vitamins can help replenish low levels in your body therefore making you feel better by supplementing your body with stuff it needs anyway. Most addicts are low on vitamin d among many other vitamins, and minerals that are necessary for your body to function at peak levels. The body body requires 90 essential vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids every single day. I think taking vitamins during withdrawals is important to help replenish depleted levels, and it will make you feel slightly better mentally usually. The withdrawals symptoms though are not easy to alleviate without something like gabapentin, clondine, benzos, or weed. Weed though can have limited effect though but still helps. The first three days are usually the worst. If you can make it three days you should be fine. Most opioids have a short half life so it doesn’t take long to see improvement. Just don’t ever get hooked on suboxone the half life on it is so long you will withdraw for months; worse then heroin withdrawals which is ironic as they give it for opiate withdrawal. Your best bet is just taking low dose gabapentin because it will make you feel comfortable as your body withdrawals. Luckily gabapentin usually easy to find, and will definitely be more than enough to help you through the hard parts.
Gabapentin for anxiety and body aches (or phenibut if I did not have any.. it works pretty similar)
Clonidine 0.1-0.3mg - Sympathetic nervous system suppressant. This blocks cold and hot flash and sweating. (Such a relief)
Kratom - Depending on how bad w/d's were, I'd take kratom too.
Water and electrolytes, plus vitamins.
Low dose Adderall - I'm not telling you to take this. I'm just saying that this gave me energy to do things while withdrawing.
Try to eat, and move around.
If you feel good enough, get to the gym and sweat like you've never sweat before. Trust me, this helps.
Hope it helps

Back in the hay day, this was my W/D remedy:
Gabapentin for anxiety and body aches (or phenibut if I did not have any.. it works pretty similar)
Clonidine 0.1-0.3mg - Sympathetic nervous system suppressant. This blocks cold and hot flash and sweating. (Such a relief)
Kratom - Depending on how bad w/d's were, I'd take kratom too.
Immodium super doses - like an entire half bottle or more at some points -helped with body cramps and of course diarrhea.

Removing it from my post.
That's wild. It wasn't insanely high. I remember reading though a forum post about someone who was taking ~120mg which was insane, considering immodium is dosed at 2mg.
But thanks for that info, and sorry for your friend. Didn't know it could do that, obviously!

Honestly gabapentin is really the best withdrawal drug for opioids along with self care your not going to feel better instantly. Be careful taking gabapentin longer than two weeks to a month because you can become dependent on it. Just be careful to only use it when you need it. Now there are other options like lyrica among other drugs to aid withdrawal but none easier to usually get than gabapentin which I think is all you need for a kratom withdrawal because gabapentin is pretty potent, and good at getting you feeling good during withdrawals while also sometimes having a mood stabilizing effect. You shouldn’t need more than 900 mg daily but people can take 1800mg a day but if I were you I would take the smallest effective dose I could. Many people also only need 300mg to help withdrawals but honestly if you can handle withdrawals on your own without aid I would. I’m kinda jaded toward this though because kratom withdrawals are pretty benign to me. I don’t agree with the taking the Imodium period. It’s about making you comfortable during withdrawal but you still need to let the body have its natural reactions to withdrawals plus in my opinion you should always feel a little pain from withdrawal. I’m guilty of having used amphetamines during withdrawal to stay productive but definitely do not recommend.
UPDATE: So I used about 1000mg of Gabapentin give or take per day and half of a 15mg addy twice per day alongside multivitamin, mucuna pruriens, vitd/k2, vit c and magnesium and had almost zero wd symptoms. Any time I stopped before, even after just a couple months of use I would feel like absolute death for a week. This time was 2 years straight and was a walk in the park. I was waiting and waiting for the shitty feelings to kick in and it just never happened, even slept decently every night which I think was key. Thank you guys so much for the advice!
Yeah stay the fuck away from that loperamide shit man, at this point I'm just really fucking horrified about the shit I see on this forum these days and honestly why I rarely come here anymore. I mean look at this shit talking about using all these hardcore junky techniques to stave off fucking kratom withdrawal dude. Kratom withdrawal on its own is not that fucking bad AT ALL. People that are having these so terrible withdrawals I'm sure are probably using other hard opiates here and there and then using kratom when they can't get the other(maybe large amounts of potent extracts) I say this bc I did the same myself years ago. When I stopped fucking around with the other shit leaf withdrawal itself ain't bad at all especially if you have ever felt anything like oxy/heroin withdrawal. But I mean just look at the fucking thread dude imagine being someone on the fence about kratom then reading all this shit. This shit will surely be the demise of open use of leaf. Like are you really that big of a pussy that you can't handle leaf withdrawal? Leaf is cheap as fuck as well so MOST people running out of leaf from my experiencing is usually bc they have been spending their money on other drugs then run out and wish they would have bought leaf instead, this is not always the case so to anyone that this doesn't apply to disregard but I say this from my own experiences years ago as well.
The leaf withdrawal seems to have a much bigger impact on the mind. I moved down to South Florida for college during the pill mill days around 08-09 and was working in a club so I'd binge heavily (4-5 blues per day, little coke, lots of booze) then stop and I just felt shitty for a few days and be good. This shit tho always had a lingering depression attached to it which for me atleast is the absolute worst part. I hear you on the loperamide shit tho. I only used it at recommended dosage back in the day so I wouldn't shit my self at work lol. Maybe it's time for me to grow up and have some self control... just a thought

Idk in my experience the "doom and gloom" from oxy withdrawal was way way worse for me for sure. I think people who have had to experience hard opiate withdrawal are more afraid of the idea of withdrawal than anything and go in thinking leaf will be a terrible detox but find it's not on the same level at all as full agonists.
I agree that kratom can have more of a depressive effect for some during withdrawals. I’ve went through fentanyl, heroin, benzo, coke, meth, and prescription pill withdrawals many times; for me personally I would just feel really horrible for a couple days then be better. Kratom withdrawals have never really been painful to me honestly, and I sometimes don’t even feel them in that aspect. The lingering depression I get is the bigger issue for me personally even to the point it can be really uncomfortable. I think I already said this but going through withdrawal is more about making yourself as comfortable as possible but you still have to let the body have its natural reactions like vomiting, diarrhea, etc.. at least to a certain extent plus going through all that helps you get over withdrawals faster in my opinion.
