KRATOM WORKS!
This isn't going to be a long drawn out post, just an amazing thing that happened to me today. Last night I cracked a tooth & halfway through the night I woke up in great pain. I toughed it out until I got up, called my dentist's emergency number, & waited for her call back. My tooth got worse & worse & worse until sweat started pouring off me & I felt like puking. I went into the kitchen & chugged down 4g of TFH Red Muna, the original, & 20 minutes later the pain was almost completely gone! It stopped the pain so quickly I was in awe. I never expected it to help that much. That was amazing!

Re: KRATOM WORKS!
My typical doses are 1.5-2g for green/white, 2.5-3g for reds. I was feeling pretty desperate that day & figured I wanted a big effect & it worked. I just had my oral surgery today, found out I had a bone infection in my jaw. The interesting thing is Norco is working great as far as painkilling, but the Red Muna is also working great & I'm alternating them every 4 hours.
I have quite a selection of strains, but the TFH Red Muna is the only one that worked this well.

I dose low and hydrocodone still works for me too. I kind of use the two to moderate the use of each.
Glad you're not in pain, tooth pain is the WORST.

Re: KRATOM WORKS!
I've discovered another TFH strain that alleves strong pain, Deep Jungle Red MD. And it requires a large dose, for me it was 5g, largest I've ever taken in my life. Wow - that hit me hard. That was like taking dilaudid(without the euphoria so don't get all worked up). It actually worked better than 2 Norco. I definitely wouldn't be able to drive after taking this size dose. But it's nice to have an option for something strong rather than go into a doctor's office.
And... so now I've got to think about how long before I cut back. I definitely don't want wd. My doc said the pain could last a month.

Re: KRATOM WORKS!
Great to hear about it getting rid of your tooth pain!
I have what my doctor calls "severe degenerative osteoarthritis" (said with a sad look in her eyes when she first said it), but it's really - at least so far - not as terribly painful as it sounds.
I played lead guitar for a living when I was young, and my fingers are now fused to the point on my left hand that I can't touch my palm with my fingertips anymore, let alone play guitar - but at least they don't really hurt anymore since the knuckles fused. For a couple of years, they WERE seriously painful - not debilitating, but not fun.
What DOES hurt is pretty much everything else
LOL, getting old isn't for sissies, for sure. Someone told me about kratom a few months ago, so I'm pretty new to it, but on days that I use it - I'm sticking to 3 times a week or so, to not build up a tolerance - I gotta say that kratom is an absolute God-send for me. I don't like taking opioids unless I'm in BAD pain, which is rare, and kratom just gives me 3 - 5 hours of happy, pain-free, smiley niceness!
I wish I'd known about it years ago, and I really thank those on DoubleM who have helped me learn a lot, fast! Not to mention the number of high-quality vendors that are here, most of which are incredibly helpful and friendly to a n00b
So thanks to all of you, and I'm having a great adventure learning more and more about this awesome leaf!

Re: KRATOM WORKS!
7th.... I started kratom because I was sick of taking opioids myself, which I was on because of arthritis. It allowed me to work one more year & reach my retirement goals. Yes, old age isn't for sissies , that's for sure.
Let me tell you about another option you have. Some people disagree with me on this, but it's helped me immensely. An Orthopedic Surgeon told me I could get some good relief from my arthritis pain by taking a course of prednisone 3 times a year. Each course lasts 10 days & it gives me a whole month without any pain. So I end up having 3 months per year without pain. It's wonderful. There is a catch. You can't get any vaccinations during that month & you have to avoid getting any communicable diseases because prednisone turns off your immune system. If kratom gives you all the relief you need then you probably don't need the prednisone.

Re: KRATOM WORKS!
Thanks, pray4! I'm doing well with just kratom and occasional aspirin at this point. When my fingers started going it was much worse, but another couple of things I found are near infrared light (it helps your mitochondria make more "energy packets", which helps you heal), AND - for fingers in particular - dipping them daily in hot paraffin
Yes, the "hot wax" treatments women get for their hands in salons were originally invented to help osteoarthritis sufferers
I still occasionally use the near infrared on various achy joints, but I don't need the hot paraffin anymore. It helped a LOT when I needed it.
Back to kratom, though - my overall body pain isn't anywhere near severe, but it IS, well, a pain. And kratom has been awesome so far! I'm just trying to keep it to a couple or three times a week to keep from building up a tolerance, but it certainly is tempting!
Thanks again for the prednisone suggestion - hopefully I won't need it!

Re: KRATOM WORKS!
I do the same thing for my own pain issues - I try to keep it to once a day wherever possible, and skip days where the pain is at a tolerable level. There are stretches of good days where I don't need anything, medium-type days where I need one at some point each day, and bad days where I'll have two or three doses in a day (rare, thankfully, because it's annoying to coordinate those around meals). I haven't had tolerance become an issue for me and I'm not sure whether that's a matter of luck or the fact that I'm constantly rotating what batch I use from dose to dose. Maybe a combination of both
I've found prednisone helpful for my own pain in the past, and if a flare is like, catastrophically bad then I'll ask my doc to call in a course for me, but kratom generally helps me out enough that I don't need to do that. Thank god, too, because prednisone wreaks havoc on my mood. My pain will improve but I end up feeling like I want to murder everyone and everything.
Apparently a common side effect is to be in a really bad mood. Another area where kratom has a leg up on it, haha.

Sanbut... your reaction to prednisone is intriguing. I guess it makes sense - that's why they coined the term "roid rage." It has the exact opposite effect on me. Everything is beautiful, wonderful, & I'm unusually happy. The first time it happened I was concerned because it was so over the top & I called my doctor. He said it gives some people euphoria & not to worry.

TFH is Texas Family Harvest. Fantastic vendor. The red muna ironically is now my favorite of theirs. What do you mean when you say original? Is it an older batch?
