Meaning of % Pure Mitragynine vs. % Total Alkaloids

On some vendor extract pages they list two percentages for the alkaloid content, for example: 29% mitragynine, 42.7% total alkaloids...

I understand what they mean by the % mitragynine, but I don't really understand what they mean by "42.7% total alkaloids".

What does this second figure represent? Is it just for a bunch of unnamed alkaloids (including mitra, 7oh, and the others)?

Yeah, it's the sum total % of Mitra, 7OH, and 3-4 other alkaloids(Mitraphyline, Speciogynine,etc) that they can/do test for. That's my understanding at least.

29% of mit and 42.7% of alkaloid. Leaves containt alkaloid as a big compound from several kind of compounds like (in kratom case) : mitragynine, speciogynine, speciociliatine, paynantheine, etc.
And from all alkaloids content in the leaves, kratom mitragynine beeing the biggest alkaloid compound inside the leaves (around 50-70%) from total alkaloid content
