What constitutes a gold/yellow strain

Hey guys I was wondering what you consider a gold/ yellow strain. I have not had one since i ordered from mitragaia before I found this forum. I never liked the gold they had, or any of their leaf really minus a couple exceptions. Never buy from there unless you want nasty untested bulk overpriced. The reason I’m so curious is because I’m going to attempt to buy a gold if I can get it that has been dried a special way. You see I was under the assumption that golds were less potent because they were just greens that are fermented, or something similar. Especially after seeing the test results of many golds on sites like luckys. Recently I found a true gold, and if it ain’t the traditional way they make golds then maybe they should because this is the gold that sounds good to me. It’s dried indoors then lightly sun kissed so the potency is protected. I was curious what the vendors on the forum had to say on this topic? I’ve read like 5 different ways they make golds so I would be curious to see which is considered the way they are made by the majority. I love the idea of golds because everyone says they are wonderful for anxiety but definitely don’t want a fermented one. If I did I would just buy a bent. Back to my point I would love hearing your experiences with golds, and would be much appreciated for frame of reference in the future. Like how many of you have had some rocking golds made similarly, or were they made using some other method..

AFAIK a gold/yellow strain is about the same as saying "new and improved" on any consumer product (or perhaps "Now with Restin!"). IOW, it doesn't mean a thing.

Every vendor defines it a different way but even the way they define it doesn't mean much. For some it's a blend, for others they SAY it's a certain strain but in any case I don't put any store in what they label it. The only way to know if it works is to try it.

I actually have two or three yellow/golds I REALLY like, but also have bought 7 or 8 that were duds. Like most things with Kratom there are SO many variables it's really hard to generalize.

Alright thanks for the reply how were the golds you liked made, or do you know? I disagree that golds are just marketing because so many well known vendors offer some form of gold/ yellow strain. Their should be a reason why menus like tfh, luckys, and many more vendors have this so I’m sure it deserves its own category of classification. It sparked my interest though after reading all the different methods they might use to a make a so called gold strain. Then I heard it helped anxiety really well which I love in a strain but seeing that golds usually had a lower mit content put me off. Please keep the answers/opinions coming. I’m still waiting for some vendors to chip in hopefully that have experience with selling golds, and how they are typically made.

Hey I wanted to thank you for that package. My daughter ate the cheese popcorn before I even saw it. I heard it was ok though. I'm afraid to try the tea INSTEAD of coffee, maybe WITH coffee. What were those glazed cakey things? A very honey-bunnish bouquet.

I think we need a vendor to reach out on this one. I know that LSMS had a True Yellow last year and he clearly explained how that could be. However, I am not remembering at the moment.

There is a way to achieve that color and have it not be a marketing term.

The soft cookies are a korean dessert called yakgwa. I didn't know it, but they are deep fried before they soak up a sugary honey sauce. Love the mouthfeel.

Hawaiians love spam. We have an annual Spam Jam, and eat more spam than all the other states combined, a holdover from the Korean War.

A spam musubi is basically spam sushi - block of rice with slice of spam on top, wrapped with nori (seaweed). Simple to make and eat! The rice is generally regular rice, not sushi rice.
