New / recent TFH batches

Post by Supersonic75 »

Hi there-

I received my TFH order and have tried a few new batches. I know that some folks have been looking for info, so I figured I'd pass my impressions along. Please keep in mind that I've only tried these batches one time each, typically in the 1.75-2g range though a bit higher on the reds.

1. Mature Hulu Hilir RH-3: For me, this was the most potent/hard-hitting green that I've tried from TFH in a while. It was mid+ with notable energy that was good for work and focus, very straight ahead. Pretty decent legs, too (around 3.5 hours) and even after the more intense effects wore off I still felt some the clear-headed energy running through me. Mild-to-moderate pain relief too. Great stuff.

2. Baik Bali Green G-KUN54: A very pleasant green. Not as intense as the Hilir and for me also mid+ but more of a “head” than body energy. Very nice for working at my own pace and taking breaks, enjoying the feels, smooth and clean. Legs were pretty long, also around 3.5 hours.

3. Wild White Kampung WR4-SD: I know that this isn't brand-new, but an MM bud of mine had recommended it to me a while back and I just got around to trying it. Probably my favorite of the more recent TFH whites – not crazy fast, but definitely potent and energetic. Great for work and getting stuff done.

4. Red Kampung WS4-SDA: This has probably been on the menu for a while now, but I've been using more reds recently (they usually don't raise my BP as much as greens/whites) and I tried it. I loved it – at 2.25g it was definitely a day red. It had a very slow yummy come-up and at first I thought it was going to be on the slower/more relaxing side. It was actually somewhat relaxing, but not at all sedating. The effects lasted around 4 hours and were mid-spec and quite potent. Excellent.

5. Red Embaloh Forest I-KUT9: I think I underdosed on this one- I started with 2 g and added a .6 g booster around an hour in (I'm still getting a feel for what works for me with reds). I could feel something nice in there- sorta mid spec with a tiny bit of warmth- but where the Kampung smacked, this one was more of a soft touch. I'm gonna try it at 3-3.5g in a couple of weeks.

Have a great weekend! :)

Thanks for the review. I know what you mean about TFH reds being relaxing but not tiring. I’m finding a lot of their reds are like this and I’m loving it ! I take reds probably 75-80% of the time and I certainly don’t want to be tired or sedated all the time so ones like this are absolutely perfect for me. I’ve found that they have had more of these daytime reds this year than in the past 2 or 3. I wonder if it’s a coincidence or if Chris and Angie are actively trying to create more of these ?

Hey right on, glad you like that Wild Kampung too! I haven’t tried those others you reviewed but sounds like I need to soon. Thanks for the tips!!

Thank you so much for doing this! I’m TFH all the way but I like to see what others have to say on here about strains!

Anyone give the Red Embaloh Forest a deeper review?

I ordered some Mature Hulu Hilir RH-3 & have been trying it for about 2 weeks. So far I haven't had any effects at all from it. I did note that it's the most unique green strain I've ever bought. How? After adding hot water, the red oxidized color becomes evident & he must be blending a green with a red. It has that unique red strain taste, kind of like a bent, slightly sweet & not bitter. But as I have learned, especially with TFH strains, I often have to experiment with dose size & take the strain for many days in a row in exclusion of any other strains before I rush to judgement. There are so many different alkaloids in kratom, half of them antagonists of the other half, that dose size & timing becomes really important. That some strains make you happy, others full of energy, others sedated, others good painkillers, & some relieve anxiety - it takes a lot of different components in specific concentrations to provide such a wide selection of effects.

I have the same. You should never give up on a TFH strain. They are weirdly amazing sometimes.

100%! I didn’t like top shelf red md or the 30 year Wild red THC ir-17 the first 4-5 times I tried them. Now they’re two of my favorite strains and they hit every time!!

For sure. I tried the Red Embaloh for the third to,me yesterday and it was great, potent and mid spec. It was very lightweight for me the first two times.

The green forest Borneo is exceptional. it is both energetic and euphoric with great legs. I have been burning it daily for the past 3ish weeks with no noticeable decrease in effect.

Honorable mention for the 30 year green selimbau though I think it’s out of stock

Are you referring to the current "Green Forest Borneo (B): TWI-AIR" on the menu or is that a second version.

Thanks, might have to give it a try. One thing I love about TFH leaf is that it is also what I call happy leaf. There are only a few vendors who's leaf can be put into this category. Kind of like when you eat a meal that much love and care was put into it.. You can feel that care and love...
