Mystic Island 3 strain review

First, this is my second kratom order ever. About 18 months ago I bought two strains from kraken kratom, white vein maeng da and Bali neither one seemed to do much for me. I suffer from a lot of lower extremity nerve pain and chronic shoulder/knee pain injuries and recently looked into kratom again and thank goodness I found a decent vendor.

I ordered 3 mystic island strains Monday and received Wednesday. I researched beforehand and got phatcracker, which I took first. 3g on an empty stomach at 1pm lasted until 7. It is the best of the three, by far. I have tried each strain 2 times (5g phatcracker this am and I’m feeling great) the first time I took 3g and second time 5g, on non consecutive days

Phatcracker - 9/10 overall. 8/10 for mood and 8/10 for pain, Long acting - only downside is hard time calming down after it wore off and kept me up a bit later (I do have insomnia pretty bad)

Mystic pixie 7/10 overall. Very quick acting and short lived. Pain 7/10. Energy 9/10 and mood 7/10. Lasted a couple hours, uplifted my spirits but wore off fast. Didn’t help anxiety but made me feel more speedy.

Red papua. 5/10 overall. I got this because I red read strains were best for pain. It did do something for my pain but nothing like phatcracker and I had 3/10 mood uplifting. Maybe 6/10 for pain and I was very slightly tired/sedated however had a hard time relaxing. Won’t buy again unless I can find something to really compliment it or vice versa.


I want to order more phatcracker and try vampire when it gets restocked. In the meantime can anyone recommend a good strain or blend that is different than phatcracker but good for energy, pain and mood lifting?
I’ve looked into getting some Aquamarine for it so red/white mix and description. The Gandalf also looks good. The other two I’m thinking of trying are the super green and green Vietnam. I may just order s sample of each but am new
And looking for opinions.

From Mystic Island, my favorite for that is their White Maeng Da -- really good single strain that has all three, and not jittery at all. Others have said it's their favorite morning burn, and I can see why.

I have some from MI but have not yet tried it. I usually have really good luck with pink blends, either purchased or blended myself, so I got this to try. A red/white mix done right will also give you the energy and mood lift of a white with the legs and painkilling of a red; I'm hoping this one ends up doing just that -- likely because reds do not sedate me much anyway. YMMV, of course.

But another reviewer here has said that Aquamarine is more relaxing than energetic, but not sedating, and also mentioned that he needs less than his usual dose to get a good burn. So keep that in mind if you get a sample.

The Gandalf also looks good. The other two I’m thinking of trying are the super green and green Vietnam.

I have Gandalf and like it; the Green Vietnam is also a solid green that won't let you down on painkilling.

I may just order s sample of each...

Definitely do this! The prices are right -- can't beat $3 for a 25g sample, seriously. Welcome to the board!

I love the Phatcracker too. Good for some pain relieving get-up-and-go. For strictly pain relief, the White Bali, Big Red One, Green Vietnam, Red Bali, or Yellow Thai usually do the job for me. (Vampire does too)

For good mood and energy, Peridot, Doppelganger, Gandalf, or Green Malay usually start my day off right.

I wish I would’ve reordered this weekend as they had phatcracker (I believe it’s a blend of peridot and unicorn?), Vampire and one other on my list but I waited a day too long. However based on recommendations here there are a few I will try. The suggestions were great and I read the linked thread about Aquamarine- made me think about mixing my own blends.

Based on the comments and my research I went ahead and ordered white maeng da and Gandalf for early/energetic use. Also got Green Vietnam and aquamarine for more of a pain/relaxing effect. I’d like to have something to take at night to help with pain. I’m nearing 40 and yesterday while training I did heavy squats and straight leg deadlifts (multiple sets of 365lbs for 5 reps and 255lb for 8) which left me stiff and sore this morning and I got no relief til my am kratom dose.

They seem low on stock right now. As soon as I can I’ll pick up some Peridot, Vamprire, Doppleganger as I’ve wanted to try their those since I read about them. Also phatcracker for sure.

Thanks again for the help and info. I’ll see how these effect me and if I can make a decent blend from them. I already use a 2:1 phatcracker to mystic pixie blend in the morning that hellos with focus and energy. I’ve ditched caffeine entirely and my social anxiety is gone. I’m more energetic, happy and focused and I am pretty pain free (as a power lifter this is a godsend, especially after my age). Hoping I can find a strain or blend for nighttime that won’t keep ,e awake (should have ordered the vampire while I could, lol).

I’ll update my experience with the 4 strains I bought and thank you all again.

Yeah it's slim pickings. I'm wanting to place an order with them, but I know if I order today then they'll be restocked tomorrow lol. I'm wanting to try their Topaz and a couple others that I've missed.
