dg botanicals

so, miracle of miracles, an order of samples i placed with dg botanicals survived customs and the mexican postal system and made its way to me this morning.

heres what i got, i will review them as i try them out:

super red kali
premium white
pmd 13
green borneo
red indo

they included a extra 15 grams of red kali.

this morning i took 2 g of the premium white. probably needed to go to 3 grams (my normal dose of almost everything right now is 6g) but it was a nice even white. clean energy, mood boost, thats about it, which is what i expect from a white.

afternoon i took 4 grams of the pmd 13. tons of energy but no jitters, mood boost was moderate. i am finding out more and more that right now maeng das arent doing as much for me as i would like, or expect, or something, but i like it for sure. this one is energetic but in a way where i almost forget that i took it, if that makes sense?

I'll def be awaiting your feedback on both reds and the Green Borneo they are on my list of what to order from DG for the first time myself this week finally!! Please keep me posted on those....

for sure. ill be trying the super red tonight. ill try and post something, the internet is down in my building. ill try and leave more detailed reviews of the two i have tried so far as well, when i re visit them. busy day.

ok,

so i took the super red kali about 20 minutes ago. 3 grams. wow. its reallllllllllllly nice, right of the bat. im very happy that he decided to send me an extra 15 grams of this. at first i was a little confused as to why he sent an extra bit of a sample i ordered instead of something else, but now i don't even care, im just stoked to have a little extra.

its relaxing with out being overly heavy. there is an energy to it, but its kind of, whatever energy you want, like i could easy fall asleep but if i needed to get something done i could ... you know what im gonna just do a few out of ten type things cause this one is really hard to describe.

relaxation 8/10
clarity of mind 8/10
pain killing type stuff 9/10
mood lift 8/10
anxiety relief 9/10
euphoria 8/10 (i'm using euphoria as something separate from mood lift. im not sure if other people see it that way)
overall potency 10/10 (this is half my usual dose but as strong as ive had in my limited experience.

to be honest the other two i have tried today, they were very good, but not so good that i forgot the fact i paid 13 an ounce for them. this one however, while the price still stings a bit, is getting me closer to forgetting. really, really good stuff. im having a hard time not going back and ordering a larger amount, but i think i am gonna roll the dice and wait until summer and try out another batch and see if the season makes it even better. but yes for sure, get a sample of the super red kali and see how it works for you. it was my third burn of the day and BY FAR the best (all three were dg burns.

so far overall, for me:
super red kali 8.5-9/10
pmd 13 7/10
premium white 6.5/10, but i need to try it at a higher dose, im guessing it will go up to 7 or 7.5

update on the kali. im getting a lot more energy happening as the burn gets older, thinking that maybe this might be more of a early evening batch for me. like, part of me actually wants to walk back to work and get more stuff done.

green borneo is also pretty nice. wakes me up right away. with all four of these the onset of effects has been almost immediate. nice boost in mood and lots of the green style of energy (for me whites give me the cleanest, clearest energy boost, while greens seem to have something extra to go along with it. maybe its an added pain killing effect that colors the feeling a little).this one seems good for pain.

sticking to 3 grams with this one, again half my normal dose. i could probably (PROBABLY) bump it up to four but there is no real need and part of my kratom goal is to keep lowering my dosage if i can, mostly just to save money.

which leads me to this thought. this green borneo and the red kali i had last night are remarkable kratom. the kali is hands down the best kratom i have had (mind you this out of the 4 vendors i have had in my life, plus one headshop brand). i just don't know how often i can pay almost triple what i would be paying at say, liza's or wherever else. i have very good kratom that i have got from each of the vendors. my hope is that as i continue to try different vendors i find comparable quality at more reasonable pricing. thats not saying i won't order from dg again, because i for sure am going to at some time in the future, i just can't afford to get all my kratom from him.

tonight i am trying out the red indo from dg. the super red kali is gonna be a tough act to follow. 4 grams down the hatch.

slower onset than the kali, but really nice so far.

relax: 7.5/10
mood lift: 7.5/10
pain: 7/10
euphoria: 7.5/10
anxiety: 6/10

is nice. very nice. i feel like i can't give it a fair shake because the kali was just so good.
my take away from this is that dg may become my go to for reds. the two i have tried are just very very nice. my nightime burn is the one i want to, "enjoy" the most. daytime is more maintenance, and i don't always need to be overpowered by my burn.

man i wish this stuff was cheaper.

I placed a recent order of samples and the wife and I tried just about everything to pin down a larger order. Here's what we liked/loved...

Premium Bali - best they have imo
Premium White - as good if not better than WBB.
Premium Red - solid 4.5/5
Premium Green - really good mixing strain.
Red Borneo - solid red - 4/5 - for a non-premium.
Bali 24 - they gave me a 5g sample, so I had to add in some Bali 22 from a previous order to get to my usual 7-8g, but it seemed to hit the spot enough to order a 1/4k.


We got absolutely nothing out of a few of their strains - the W supplier and R supplier were both kinda bunk for us. There were some middle of the road things. But overall, I've placed 3 orders with them, and I don't mind paying a bit extra. I just wish they would offer a bit of a price dip if you go 1/4k or higher on their premium strains. They didn't for me anyway.

But when I started a few years ago, the first place I bought online was Kratom Trading Co, and their prices were higher than the cheaper spots that I discovered once I found Reddit, but I was happy with their product. I still go back to it from time to time and don't regret paying a lot for good leaf. That said - KTco isn't among the best stuff I have, but it's above average. Some of DG's is among my top leaf tho.
