Does anyone use crushed leaf?

It seems like after reddit screwed me over, I hardly see anyone from my sub/circle any more. I post something about tea/crushed leaf and it usually sinks to the bottom like a rock. So, I thought I'd make a poll to see if it's even worth doing any more research and/or tutorials any more. Why play a tune to an empty house, right?

I'm sure people are interested, the problem is they don't know about this forum. It would be nice to have more members/input.

That said, I never make tea. Brings back memories of those hilarious and miserable poppy pod days.

I'm aware of crushed leaf but I've never made tea. I always T & W. I would like to attempt it but I haven't gotten there yet.

There's a link to this forum stickied at the top of the r/kratomm subreddit and the top of the MeWe group. Forums take some time to grow. Based on the traffic numbers from the past few weeks, it is a slow but steady growth.

I only make tea, and love using crushed leaf (so much easier to make, than powder), but just wish vendors would have more of a variety. Just getting into red Bents, and love them for pain relief, but have to buy powder and deal with the mess of making tea with it.

I suspect vendors aren't carrying it because even though I have a variety of six different strains, I've been sitting on three kilos of the stuff since my sub got banned. That was what, well over a month ago? I used to wonder why, and even got somewhat upset about it, but now I see why most don't carry it, and when it sells out, there's just not much incentive to get more.

I don't have the patience for brewing tea. I just put two squirts of lemon juice in a 16 ounce water bottle and shake it instead of making lemonade by the pitcher.


However, the last time you ran a special on crushed leaf I was tempted to order but life got in the way and by the time I remembered to go back and look at the post it was past the deadline. Maybe next time.

It might do me good to slow down and relax while brewing a batch and then enjoy sipping on the tea while doing a crossword puzzle or two.

Late to the thread, as always, but I hate tea made from anything, yet I burn crushed leaf almost every day. T & W, follow w/ powder, & tail off isn't as brutal. Caps just don't do it for me unfortunately (I even got one of those fancy machines and everything).

The only thing to watch out for, in my experience, are large stems as those don't go down so well. Also, it takes a little longer to kick in, kinda like caps, so maybe be careful how much you burn at one time till you know what you're doing. And of course I'd adjust powder amount to account for it as well.

I've only ever tried WMD & GMD crushed leaf, as my preferred vendor only carries/carried those (sigh). I'd be interested in trying some other strains as well.

Edit: Crushed WMD is awesome, but crushed GMD makes me wanna nap & I don't like that. Yet like do like powdered GMD, sometimes. Still trying to figure that one out.

I find crushed leaf useful during a reset period (to lower the dosage quantity) as tea from crushed leaf is weaker and slowly potable so you can more easily control any discomfort without actually dosing potent powder. It helps with the pychological aspect of "taking a break" because the method of use is different.

I'm still making tea, thanks to you and your great advice (and everyone else that was active on your sub). I'm looking for a new source for crushed leaf since Herbaldom doesn't currently carry my favorite strain of it at the moment. I just ran out of what I had on hand, and I'm so sad to see it go.
