After taking kratom, how long until you feel it?

After you take kratom, how long is it until you start feeling it (without potentiators)? By start feeling, I mean any indicator that it's working - euphoria, pain relief, deep relaxation, energy, etc. I'm really curious. For me, it normally takes around 30-40 minutes until I can really feel it start working. I realize some strains may be faster or slower, but what's your overall average time?

Whats interesting is, it take me 45 minutes to feel a hydrocodone. I figure it's because of the fillers.

Several years ago, it was less than 30 minutes. Now it's always an hour. I don't know if it's the quality of kratom now or what, it's puzzling.

Recently I found that I have a very short "come up" with kratom. When I first started using it, it took 30 minutes to an hour to kick in, but recently it's been about 15 to 20 minutes. I think it's because I take magnesium and turmeric/black pepper blend daily.

I mostly take greens, which always start around 30 minutes with an increased heart rate. Reds always take an hour. So think about this. The reason this happens is because there's different compounds between the two classes of strains... Significantly different compounds. That, in itself, is fascinating to me. Can't wait until more research reveals the "secrets" of kratom.

I'd like to know more as well, kratom has a bizarre list of side effects that only seem to hit certain people (or, some people don't want to accept/admit the kratom can have negative effects at times) I've noticed acne recently. I haven't had a pimple since high school over a decade ago, only recently have they started returning. Don't know if it's the kratom or not.

But, on to the topic - I feel the come up in about 15 to 20 minutes. I've been freezing my kratom, though, and it hits me faster. Toss and wash takes upwards of half an hour, sometimes longer.

I find it has a lot to do with the grind and the emptiness of stomach and strain type and of course overall potency. I feel a fast white in 10-15 first thing in the morning. Reds/greens/yellow/gold euphorics take a while longer to come on. Slow uneuphoric stains, anodyne strains, I often forget that I've actually taken anything. I'm sure people who have acute chronic pain notice the onset more dramatically in this case.

I need to revise my answer. It's actually an hour and a half, not an hour. For awhile there I was only waiting an hour, not really feeling it so I redosed pointlessly. Was messing around with dosage today and had one of those a-ha moments (happens sometimes with kratom)...been wasting alot of leaf ...

I mix it with hot water and a capful of lemon juice, then sip it slowly(plant matter and all) like coffee or tea, so it really depends on how long it takes me to drink it. Usually by the time I finish it, I'm already starting to feel it, so I answered 30-40 minutes.

This depends on so much lol. With high spec leaf, on an empty stomach, I can feel it at 10-15 min and then I know it's going to be good shit. So for the survey I selected 10-20 min. But with some of my favorite low end stuff it can take 30-45 min just to begin to feel them and as long as 2 hrs to get up to full effects.

That question seems way to oversimplified. Is it my first dose of the day? Have I eaten? Am I in a lot of pain or is it a regular dose?

The only logical answer is it depends.

My first dose of the day is always 15 to twenty minutes when I start to feel relief in my bones, joints And hands that’s how I know it’s kicking in, to fully kick in 30 to 40 just realized I’m on a two year post lol thought I’d go deep

There tons of factors at play, i am sure we all can agree everyone will feel it within an hour. Size, weight, eating habits of regular foods and yes all ingredients will do the final outcome how you will feel. All food is medicine in a good way or bad so watch what you eat. Empty stomach will always be faster on set compare to not empty stomach. but i feel the best if i eat and take kratom better at all times. I jsut dont take less i take slight more with food like 4-6 grams depending how strong the batch is. 2 grams on empty stomach i always felt as well. It all end on preference. If you cant afford food out side then best to eat and take kratom or else you might experience major weakness, if that happens just eat any sugar source, that usually always balanced everything.

Totally agree with everything you said my first dose is always on empty stomach that’s why it kicks in quick for me, healthy meals, some exercise and a great state of mind always makes it better

For me it is highly dependent on the variant, generally speaking it's 20 to 30 minutes unless it's super strong then it's about 15 minutes.

Very true, my later in the day and night doses I tend to take after I’ve eaten 30 to 45 minutes before it works great but I also don’t eat much just enough but it does take a while longer

I'm fairly new to Kratom (6 months). A lot doesn't work for me at all (no effect or negative effects). The strains that do work for me are most whites and some greens and I can feel them 15 min in with full effects 30 min in. That's my first dose on an empty stomach. I usually take a second dose (different strain/vendor) 7-8 hrs later (sometimes before dinner sometimes after) and I don't usually feel the onset. Typically I will notice about an hour in that I feel good (or not)

Honestly i get awesome placebo rush when i first feel the kratom taste when its going down my throat. so can start feeling in a first minute. 10 min you realize your joints pain if any start to go away but anxious awaiting, 20 min in you get slight feel of energy boost and you can start feeling it coming on, 30 min in you def feel it now but not full swing yet, 40 min in you realize you can get your ass up off the couch and do something, 50 min in you are god mode and ready to tackle the day. 60 min in you having a smile and hope everyone feels this way spreading the good vibes.

Effects from the reds kick in within 10 minutes, but they don't really stabilize for another 10 so, like many others, I have to be careful not to over do it within that time frame. Greens sneak up on me, usually within 30 or 40 minutes. And since every single green I've had is singular, if I take a 'standard' dose I can find myself dancing on the ceiling unintentionally . Serving sizes for reds seem predictable, no matter the vendor, but those greens are tricky. Whites seem more predictable too. I'm still experimenting with those. The only major side effect I've noticed is dehydration. I need to drink water all day.
