Wild Green TFH-M16

Post by RumRunner »

I’ve been reluctant to post a TFH review because there have been so many. But this wild green is good. Real good. I’ve been on the edge of tolerance problems for a couple weeks now, but this strain cut through my tolerance like a hot knife through butter.
Fantastic mid spec burn. Easily a 9/10. Thanks Gumby!

You are very welcome! I know some folks were saying we had too many reviews during our last event - I really appreciate your support and for leaving a review anyways! The reviews help your peers dial-in on some selections they might like and it helps us because new people will learn more about our work.

IMO you should never shy away from sharing genuine feedback (good and bad) - nor should you be afraid of what others might think about that feedback... that's what Double M is all about! Thanks!

RumRunner. I've been having no luck with the Wild Green TFH-M16. My question is.....Did you use the same amount as your normal burn? Use less? Etc? Appreciate the response.

Don’t give up on it! You’re sitting on fire. I dosed 3.5g first thing in the morning on empty stomach. My first burns are always the best. Oohger, I have heard some folks need 3 or 4 doses before a new strain kicks in. What was your dose?

I'm having a similar problem with this strain. I just keep trying it and hope it breaks through one of these doses.

Everyone always makes fun of me for taking kratom at work (to them, its matcha. They're all Guatemalan and they know about matcha, so I go with what they know.) and my ex, in a fight a couple of nights ago, told me I was a "drug addict" because I rely on kratom. Pretty irritating. I cold turkeyed off of a needle habit and she didnt know so she didnt have any idea where all of my money and time were going. Good, I guess, but she doesn't appreciate how it is now because I hid being a drug addict and cold Turkey pretty well. Me? Different story. I know how much better everything is now and i DON'T take it for granted. Neither here nor there, just on my mind. Sorry.

I honestly think if you dont feel it, there is nothing wrong increasing few more grams. But i had that before, i rather not review something bad until i am convinced its not the greatest. We all know even in a same batch the kratom can fluctuate from lows to highs if it was 5-20 kilos or something. Best to try take some longer breaks or take it for 3 strait days and see if true colors of a strain pop. 3 days you should be able to tell if its working. Most people jump around different samples and vendor products. Why not commit 3 days nothing but what your testing? I am already thinking in my head what blends i will to with TFH, sometimes your personal blends can turn out to be a super house. While a strain alone not so much unless you increase your dose or use it for 3 days strait. just some thoughts and things i think is good to experiment with.

I also noticed consuming less does not always work for me with certain strains. Not sure if its alkaloid profile or what, no one knows. Yet, some strains i feel the best when its very low, but others might view it as bunk. Thats why its important to take breaks so you can see for sure if some kratom works better at low dose. You cant really test low dose if you already consume 20g or something a day, no way you will feel a low dose. it all ends up to actually taking a break. even if you are 6g a day. least 2 days break.

I am surprised there is no threads here dedicated to groups or even single people who commit 2 or 3 days T break and describe how they doing to encourage others. For example stuff they used, herbs? baths? vitamins? to ease any discomfort when taking breaks. Its not quitting in any way, just short term breaks.

There is a lot of info on r/kratom about kratom tapers/breaks...what works for some doesn't work for everyone, some get withdrawls while some dont, this forum is more about who's got the best batches and how do I get them!

Yeah my doses vary in size depending on the batch, I've noticed my tolerance is worse when I've been dosing "fire" batches all week, check out the daily burn thread...a lot of post of people taking fire daily, you hardly see posts like...I dosed some meh stuff today, but you know we do, at least I do sometimes, it's hard to do sometimes but when average don't do anything for you, the fire won't either before long.

Yeah Cat, i noticed this too, been doing fires and realized the kratom i use to love is doing meh. That's how i can tell i need to extend my break time. After break i feel it good again. Well i guess everyone got their own tricks. it be nice if we pinned something that would work for everyone, regardless if you don't get wd's or you get them. Kind of like simple draft or basic things that help 100% to ease the Tolerance break time. Sure you can do cold turkey but in reality no one wants to feel any discomfort at all. But i got your point, they can visit reddit for that.

Yes, i think i'm taking fire everyday. lol but tru. Couldn't write that before finding ya'll on this forum. I did omit the fact that Wild Green TFH-M16 slays my pain. Glad you found us Oohger! I guess every kratom forum has something to offer but where we fall short of kratom activism, we gladly make up for with better vendor recommendations!! We'll save your wallet and destroy your tolerance at the same time!!

This is really interesting to hear that some people need a few doses before a new strain kicks in. I always found that the first time hit me hardest, but TFH has made me reconsider this. For example, the 30 year wild TFH was mediocre at first, but the more I use it, the better it becomes. I haven't tried the 30 year green yet but I have a sample, and the other oddity is the 30 year wild white. Everyone raves about it but I barely feel anything from it. I'm going to play around with the dosage a bit, only burned it twice so far. TFH's strains have been quite different from the norm in this regard.

For me the first burn is the best of indicator. I never had a second or third burn be better. This particular strain wild green TFH 16 is okay but I liked most of his other greens better like sumpur, green sunda, green supreme.

The M-16 denotes the producer and lot number I believe. I could be wrong but by my understanding the Wild Yellow TFH and Wild Green TFH are different strains but were made at the same time by the same supplier... Possibly from the same stand of trees just with different processing methods to make one green and the other a yellow.

I believe this is true for most vendors as I think it is common for specialty vendors to use a wide variety of suppliers. Our batch coding is slightly different because the majority (but certainly not all) of our products come from one source. Instead of leveraging many sources, we have opted for forming a close partnership with one location that had a prime pedigree of wild and plantation trees. Our close partnership is what has afforded us the ability to experiment, conduct research, and oversee aspects of tree care and production.

With that, our batch coding more often represents a specific production technique, grouping of trees, and/or source. People always assume that the lower batch # represents an older batch - and it's just not the case with us ;) One thing that is similar to other vendors is that no two batches will ever share the same batch ID. A new batch from the same "strain"... will always have a different code than any previous versions.

I hope that helps!

So, this is a question - and I have been trying my best to wrap my head around why this may be all day. I received my TFH order last Friday. I got 250g of the 30yr Wild Super Green, 100g of the Wild White Vietnam, and a few samples. I emailed you Gumbyke1, and you responded quickly. I was getting barely any effects off all but the Wild White Vietnam. I took a 36hr break. Nothing. I reduced my dose, I increased my dose. I blended some. I gave all the strains 2-3 burns a piece. I could tell the quality was high, I mean, I’ve seen your videos and read all of your posts, and everything from the grind, smell, and packaging was all superb. I almost gave up on all but the white, when I decided to give it another go. Now, I’m getting phenomenal burns from them? I’m baffled. Why after 4 days would the magic happen with this leaf?!? I mean, I’m thrilled, because now I know I’ve got some more Fire, but I can not for the life of me figure out the science to why this would happen. Even after the break, I decided to try another from my stash from a different vendor, and it yielded the usual results. I’m about to fill out the survey reviews, and they’ll be off the charts positive. But could anyone enlighten me on why it was “meh” for 4 days then BLAMMO - Fire TFH?!?! I’m at a loss here! Happy, but baffled!

Morrieswig- sometimes with some leaf you need to try it a handful of times to allow your body to get used to different alkaloid profiles than you've been using. This has been said by many members about different vendors particularly KOG it seems....

Thanks for the reply ace - i do notice that the 30yr strains are extremely clean. And are unique to me in that I don’t get any trouble with a higher dose. I accidentally took an extra 2.5g while on the phone at work, which was a total of 6.5g - which to me is very high. But I didn’t get the wobbles, no nausea, no negative side effects it’s just a smoother burn. But the difference in days 1-4 are just astronomical- it went from being a “dud” to “God I wish I could order more” in 4 days. I’m not complaining lol!

Ive had the exact same thing happen to me with TFH. I was a bit perplexed as well but supposedly its not unheard of. Im curious to try KOG after what ace said.
But yeah, I had a few strains from TFH that I thought were "duds" at first, but after I got around to them again they were amazing. Now I'm kinda curious to see what its like with some of these strains after a few weeks or months.

The other thing that I experienced with TFH is an almost synergistic effect between a few of the strains I got and kratom from other vendors. The deep jungle sula and green aceh were fairly average for me until I threw in a random white from another vendor and the effect was amazing. The first time I did that I took I think the sula and fused flora white vietnam and I had this amazing clarity. I hadn't felt that before, its almost like there's a syngergy when adding a white to some of these greens.

I was able to order from TFH during their Christmas event. When I first tried a few of their strains I was taking my usual 4g dose and not feeling a whole lot. But after reading about trying one strain a couple to a few times and then lowering my dose...low and behold it worked beautifully. Cut my dose to 2g. I absolutely love his leaf.

I find it ironic that some never learn and still think higher amount is better. I am happy you actually understood how it works. And i do also think from all the years i used kratom that every new batch is like learning to drive a car, once you know it, you put it to the side because you know exactly what to expect from it at 2g vs 6g. There is many fire batches that can only be felt at low dose or call it bunk at higher dose when you experience wobbles and negative side effects from over consuming. Then you go to you weak kratom and take bigger amount and it seems to fit well with you but in reality you know how that weak kratom reacts to your body and how much you need to take it. Alright, i say weak kratom but thats just poor example, my main point learn your new batch by playing around with it, its really hard to take once and call it know it all review. That's not how it works.

On a side note, I think those who use heavy drugs or pills should stay away from fire, or start very low even if they dont feel anything, 2 grams every 3 hours or so. because i can see how if someone wants another fix, they will get super duper even worse side effects from kratom by over doing it, imagine 10-20 grams a dose of wild white Vietnam from TFH...! Not only wobbles but tolerance will sky rocket on top of there much worse wds what ever they using. I honestly even think we should not allow people to take kratom if they are there just for the fix to be in a cloud zone just to end up on reddit on quitingkratom section when they coming off something else. I always advice, quit what heavy drugs used first before you start kratom or stick at very low dose, and after a week or two you will start to feel effects without much side effects. But any way, this side note to those who abuse stuff to remind those lurkers its not for them, and its not another fix. Get it right. Respect it, and it will respect you.

I don’t think this was directed in anyone in particular, but my response earlier stated that I tried lowering my dose, and raising the dose as well. My normal burn on average is between 3.5g-4.5g Max. I always start at 3-3.5g with new leaf, and that’s on the first burn of the day on an empty stomach with a minimum of 12+ hours between that and my last burn. If I get no effects on 3-3.5g I’ll raise the dose. I have a very good grasp at the fact that more is certainly not better with Kratom. But if I don’t get any beneficially desired effects of 3.5g - In my experience I have never gotten any from 2g. I’ve never taken more than 6.5g ever. I have no previous history with abusing opiates like so many in the Kratom community- as a matter of fact, I started using a Kratom because I’m an alcoholic in recovery with a Chronic Pancreatitis, and was NOT trying to take oxycodone that I was prescribed for pain. The curbing of the desire to drink was just a bonus, and BOY did that bonus basically save my life in more ways than one. What I’m saying is people that say they raised their dose, aren’t always chasing some high like an addict. It will never work with Kratom. I’ve been trying to DRILL that into the heads of many friends I’ve turned on to this plant to help them like it helped me, and it’s actually frustrating telling that taking crazy doses is just gonna make them have a REALLY bad time. But, I always start out at 3-3-5g, as overall that’s my sweet spot with most leaf. But If I get NOTHING at 3g, I have never gotten anything at 2g - I’m not saying that doesn’t happen, but it’s never happened to me.

Morris, you get it how it works. Some dont have this mind set to start low then if not much experienced, to bump it up a little after a short break.

But after reading about trying one strain a couple to a few times and then lowering my dose...low and behold it worked beautifully. Cut my dose to 2g. I absolutely love his leaf.
This is a great post Jezabels64 and valuable information to new users. Don’t be afraid to LOWER your dose. You may get better results and keep your tolerance in check too.

It’s frustrating to no end when I try to get friends of mine on the Kratom train. And many of them are alcoholics like myself. They are intrigued how I say that Kratom has been a MONSTER tool in my sobriety, and pain management/mental health. The problem is that they can’t grasp how fickle this plant is, and they’re programmed that more is always better. I know for a fact they don’t listen, and use it the wrong way. Some will say “Yeah, I tried it. Not a fan. All it did was make me kinda sick. Then I have to go down my checklist, which they always fail. .... Despite me stressing the importance of dose, food, hydration, etc etc, they never listen. The only friend that is loving Kratom, and staying sober is one I literally went to his house at 8am on a Sunday and made sure he hadn’t eaten, chugged water, and had to stop him from the inevitable “I think I need more. I don’t feel anything” I’m like dude, it’s been 9 minutes- give it 30 - then of course at the 23 minute mark he had his eureka moment. Had I not been there I know for a fact he wouldn’t have drank water before hand, and would have definitely redosed, probably twice before the 25 minute mark haha. These forums are great, because I Year and a half ago I knew nothing. I just bought head shop OpMS extracts and swallowed away. People need to learn about and respect this plant for sure. I get anxiety reading newbies posts on Reddit because they are doing it SO WRONG. I can’t even comment on them to correct them or offer advice either lol.
