Does it seem like the press has improved somewhat in the past year or so when reporting on kratom? For years there were so many articles about the dangers of kratom and characterizing it as some deadly drug. It really feels like there is more balance in recent reporting. I'm specifically reacting to this article: https://www.krtv.com/news/great-falls-n ... in-montana but it seems to be prevalent in many other stories. Even doing a "kratom" search on Google seems far more generous in the top sites it displays than in recent years. Anyone else notice this?

I keep up with the news, and not a day goes by when the administration isn't walking something back. I won't get into it here, but yes it is happening constantly, we're just numb to it now. However, I'm not sure that they've changed their mind about kratom, I think it's more that the pandemic and possible vaccines/prophylactic drugs (hydrocloroquine anyone?) is taking up all of the FDA and CDC's attention. I expect them to refocus on Kratom soon, maybe just in time for kratom panic season, which is usually in November.

As much as I want Trump gone, I fear his admin picks (ie- those picked for him by the Heritage Foundation, like the rest of the admin) may have bought us time due to ideology and incompetence, not so much that they care about the well-being of kratom consumers. Shitbird Gottlieb was one of them, but fired because he was too anti-vaping, which Trump feared would hurt his reelection prospects. Which is kind of hilarious. Regardless of how small, I'd imagine the Venn diagram of the vaping vs kratom voter block is pretty significant. Biden is the last person I'd like to see replace him and his track record of banning shit makes me nervous that federal ban efforts will eventually resume if he wins. A guy talking about increasing police funding right now doesn't inspire a lot of confidence that he's learned from past mistakes.
