Good forums for ppl who sell non-kratom things

Post by WhiteAngelica »

Do any of you sell things? I have so much stuff to sell before my partner has her post-chemo surgery and they are literally brand new things for which I lost my receipts. I also have handcrafted goods.

Etsy is out for me. Their fees got so terrible I was only breaking even after shipping. I loved it, but the fees are constant and I quit when shit got bad.

The handcrafted things I have are bleached & grungified rad bandanas, diy gender neutral jewelry, duck tape wallets, art prints.

I have New With Tags streetware, and though they are gender neutral, they are smalls or mediums so that limits my audience. I have at least 8 NWT hoodies and long sleeve tees from Reason, one is like a Basquiat collector edition

Then comes the weird stuff. I have a cooler on wheel I only used once, and I didn't get to return it in time. Another thing is this crazy shaving set. I thought I'd buy it to shave my partner's head for chemo but we chickened the shit out. This purchase was so dumb. It is like some Wahl color pro clipper with a billion parts for clipping and shaving needs. I know nothing about this sort of thing except I paid too much getting a ridiculous object and by the time I thought to return it, it was too late. Another thing is a bathroom chair. We were looking for one that actually fits the shower, and I put it together only to realize it cannot fit. I still need to get that shower...stool, I guess now, but I have a bunch of stuff like this that I don't want to throw away...

Besides Etsy, I know FB Marketplace, eBay, and know of places like Mercari and Poshmark. Alas. I live in an apartment building and can't have a garage sale or whatnot. If anyone sells their extra things--feel free to share how any of these sites worked for you, or how they didn't work.

I do not want to have to curb what I have because it's taking up to much space, but I will do what I have to do...anyway, I will at least get on Marketplace and put up the cooler. memorial day is coming and people like to socially drink beer in groups instead of listening to the Smiths inside and downing kratom all day like a goth housecat with a plant powder fetish.

Thank you for reading my novel about Stuff. It is mating with itself and producing more Stuff. Any guidance would be great. (I have other things but the bathroom chair and new razor set are in the kitchen with me right now, glaring.)

I have a bunch of stuff on FB Marketplace. I've sold a few things and was getting a lot of inquiries, but lately nada. Or they ask if it's still available, I reply yes and then no response. One said thanks then nothing lol. I do cash only and buyer picks up at my door since I fractured my shoulder and don't have pay apps. If someone asks to send you a Google code and text it back to them before they call you so they know you're not a scammer, they are the scammer, don't do it. So far all sales went well. I live in a townhome very near to city center so it's a good location and I can meet them in the parking lot and I've also left things by my door and tell them to put cash under the mat which they've done. I've also tried Craigslist without much luck. My sister likes Offer Up.

I've sold weird things you wouldn't think people would want like a small collection of tiny clay hand-painted animals (I loved them, were so cute but didn't know where to put them!), HavaHart rodent trap (that was free), insulated lunch bag, child/pet gate, old suitcases, casserole dishes, blender, George Forman grill, memory foam mattress pad, metal wall hanging, marinating containers, tables, chairs....and a bunch of stuff free so I don't have to lug it downstairs, then to my car and then to a thrift shop. For free items there's also a site for that called Freecycle. I still have so much stuff taking up space in and outside of closets not including my doomsday stash I have no room for! It's not as bad as it sounds though!

Good luck!

Seconding the Facebook Marketplace recommendation. Etsy is okay, but they’re kind of like eBay when it comes to resolving issues. Tons of support for the buyer, but almost none for the seller. I actually just read a story on Reddit about this earlier.
