Smiley time herbals recommendations!

Hi guys, I'm new to doublemherbals but have been in the reddit subs for some time trying out tons of vendors.

I just got into smiley time herbals and the ammount of strains is overwhelming lol.

I typically enjoy mid/fast greens and yellows but also have been loving mixing reds in with my yellows lately. I prefer more heady mental reds and euphoric reds over a more body relaxation feel.

But if they have really good whites or pre made blends don't hesitate to throw them at me! The above is just Mt favorite/typical

Current batches of green dream, green smile and green hulk are fire. In the past I have had great luck with red smile for a heavy red and blizzard for a fast, u4ic white. His white banjo has been hit or miss but when it's good it's really good....if that makes sense.

Yep. 2400 "strains" for sale, on the Internet (and Retail,) at any given time...

Solution: Don't buy the "strain" BS - Buy the Vendor. A good solid proven Vendor, is more likely to stock better quality Kratom... How do vendors get their stock ? Either Import Direct from Indonesia, or buy from a domestic Wholesale re-seller. A Wholesaler is more likely to import the cheapest, average, Bulk product which goes for processing into Extract - they care less about Plain Leaf quality.

So - Smiley Time has a proven experience, and history, as a quality Direct Import vendor ( Buys from Indonesia, not Bulk wholesale! ) Smiley HAS the connections, and knows his kratom !!

Downside ? Well, the # of New Vendors constantly changes. Newer ones - some good, some "popups", advertise and promote... More than the older guys. So a guy like Smiley, gets busy shipping orders for good repeat Buyers - spends less time advertising. New vendors spend more time on "Hype" of their products.

Smiley Time, like Liza's and Herbal RVA and others... Import a big variety. They get a full range of quality... Smiley has: Many "strains" to please customers. Liza's we counted > 130 "strains" in stock... I've always been in favor of having a VETTED Vendor List - but it's wide open here - More vendors = Less "reviews" per vendor. Unfortunately. You won't likely find as many reviews when there's too many vendors, compared to # people posting legit reviews. Not counting "shill reviews" by friends of a vendor, LOL

Thanks for the welcome! And yeah I typically don't go by strains although some strains can have pretty much the same characteristics across all vendors.

I definitely shop with who I believe to be a trusted/vetted vendor. There was a point in time I just wanted to try wvery vendor that popped up but I'm definitely more selective now lol.

I guess I should have worded it as "so many options" vs. So many strains.

And yes reddit very much so was a lot of fake vendor accounts of vendors friends reviewing/shilling. This forum seems more authentic in that sense. I knew smiley time was considered to be one of the greats, and dennete is currently closed (I reached out to see) so I went with them.

I was able to find a few reviews and get some recommendations from people in the small batch discord and placed an order!

as far as smiley time having a "full range of quality". I was just telling someone the other day, that one reason i am very up on STH right now is because of their consistency. Their strains seem to lift my mood, and that effect seems to be pretty uniform across their strains.

I revisited some Red Smile and Pink Bali from last Fall, and I had forgotten how good they were. So I ordered a split half kilo of

Super Green Smile
Green Sunda
Burnt Orange Bent.
Red Inferno

The Reds that I have in my stash from last Fall such as the Red Smile, Red Glow, Premium Red MD, and Red Dragon are all first rate. STH can be kind of hit or miss with so many strains, so I tend to stay with the tried and true, order only during the Summer and Fall, and so far I've been very pleased. I'm looking forward to making an acquaintance with some of their Greens!

I've got a couple greens of his from 2021 that I got in trade. The Wild Zareena 21 really kicks. In recent batches I liked his Green Glow, Daylight (white blend), and Red Oven. There's a lot of lemons to wade through, but you can find some really bomb ass kratom there!

i find it interesting how greatly subjective opinions differ. For my own curiosity, in case i have one of these strains - what is a recent strain that is a 'lemon'? I have so many of his that it's hard for me to keep good enough notes, so my experience of consistency may be off, or maybe i like lemons. I'm really just curious.

Amen to last Fall's Red Smile and Premium Red MD from STH. They are up to par with any mid spec Reds I've had from anybody. The Red Dragon was nice too. One of these days I hope I will find a slower STH Red that hits the way these do. I just got a bag of Burnt Orange Bent. so maybe that will do it.

Sounds like I'm gonna have to make my next order with Smiley. I've honestly never had anything from him I didn't like. Last time I ordered was a little over a year ago, (mostly greens) but I've gone back to the ones I have from him recently and I like them better than just about anything I've bought since from several different vendors. Looking back I wish I had just bought more from Smiley lol. That menu is just overwhelming though haha but I bet there's a lot of great ones in there

perhaps this is partly psychological, but i have many strains from STH, and am buying up a few kilograms to have around, but the first of their strains that i ever tried (because the name is cool) was the Blue Flame, and it is still my favorite. Every time i try it, i love it. (it burns with a bright blue color)

someone on mewe gave a strong recommendation for the og green kali. i have shamelessly bought up so much sth that even if my notes rave about a strain, i am very likely not to actually remember it. So the solution in this case was to try some, and goddamn - yeah, a really up, very strong, fast green. Fast but no jitters. I really liked this one, and i added it to my next order (of some larger quantities)

You guys have to try Smiley's Green Dream! Got a 8 strain split recently and love everything. Green Sunda and og green kali are nice too. Not sure what makes up Green Dream but its a strong, smooth strain. Also like the super green Malay. The only one that didnt hit for me was Green Dragon. Need to go back and try again.

I recently tried those plus the pink glow. No hits for me unfortunately, but as they always say "we are all different". So I took a long break and am now trying a new vendor. It really COULD be me as the last 3 vendors I've tried have been zero's.

That sucks when nothing hits, I've been there. They have an option for 4, 1 Oz samples now which is pretty cool.. I've had some misses from them as well but the red smile usually slaps me around.

Agreed. I started really wondering if I'm just not biologically a good match for this particular herb anymore? like maybe positive effects have (for lack of a better description) "run their course"? but I've seen many people who still get effects after several years. I usually place an order and wait awhile then re-order from a new place (rinse and repeat). I'm now at 6 vendors where I have had all misses, lol. So that's why I said it COULD be me !
