Popular Vendors that don't work for you?!

First of all, I am in no way disparaging D615 - It's basically a unanimous fact that he has great leaf and practices. But for some reason, almost none of his stuff really hits for me. Maybe 2 of the 12 bags I've gotten from open events over the years have stayed in my rotation, and one sample I got blew me away. I really want to love his stuff - but it just doesn't do it for me. It's strange too because out of 12 bags I've had probably 8 different suppliers, still nothing. Any one else out there have this experience with any vendor?

It happens.

I'm not a huge fan of DTE or Mitraman, while others sing their praises. I've actually dropped all their batches from my rotation (ironically enough, replacing with Denette - the one that doesn't hit with you - and TFH).

But some of this is difficult to pin down. I *think* (am not sure but think) that a popular vendor like Liza always blends - and yet only one of her batches has ever hit for me. In general I'm not a fan of blends (would prefer to do it myself). Other vendors are not nearly as consistent - their "white elephant" could be great one year but not the next and yet they don't identify their suppliers so you never know.

I think the far more important thing is to find a FEW vendors who work for you and patronize them. Denette and TFH get the lion's share of my kratom dollars nowadays. I would be hard pressed to spend on anything else (usually by the time folks are bragging about this or that batch from some public vendor it's sold out).

to anyone who has never ordered from Denette, and is considering trying some of the available strains in his open event - I don't think that i've ever seen unanimous praise of any vendor. There is always someone who doesn't get the best results from any of them. Probably (judging by reputation) the most revered vendor in these parts is TFH - yet i've seen people saying that it doesn't do much for them. I think that it's easy to get scared that you'll make a wrong decision after reading this kind of review, but all you can really do is look at all of the great comments and reviews and trust your instincts. (and again - using TFH not because this is my experience, but because they are another vendor that is very much worth trying for the first time if you get the opportunity)

There are some vendors that many love and rave about that for the most part just didn't do much if anything for me, however, I put the kratom aside for a long while to try again much later. Very often they still don't work! We've all heard the opposite happens and it's true, what doesn't work now could work a year later. Denette is my #1 vendor and I think his is so good it makes it harder for anyone else's to come close in comparison! Whenever I try someone else's I can't wait to get back to D because I need it to work! There are definitely some that stand out more than others and I do try to read reviews in advance but have learned that's not always a guarantee that if several others love it that I will too.

That's kinda funny because Mitraman is actually my number 1 vendor right now! Can't get enough of his stuff.

Yes I hope I don't scare anyone off!! I don't regret any of my purchases - you really can't know how something is till you try it yourself!

And so that's exactly what happens. One man's trash is another man's treasure <g>.

If you CAN find someone (either on this forum or elsewhere) that seems to like the same things you like then you can definitely both benefit. There are a couple of folks here who, if they say something is gold, then it's gold (ironically enough, one of them is Eric - Denette. If he says it - and he sings the praises of other vendors batches and is kinda shy about his own - then I know it's good). But no matter what I do think there are SO many variables going on it's very hard to pin anything down. Even my goto batches that ALWAYS work sometimes don't. So...
