The “color” of kratom is actually a product of how the kratom is processed and dried after it's been harvested. Once dried, the original vein colors of the leaves are not known nor do they matter. Now I know what you are thinking - you swear that your body can’t handle white or green kratom because it makes you jittery, etc. There may be some truth to that because the alkaloid profiles can be altered by the different methods of drying. I don’t want to get too technical because there are a lot of variations, but below are some of the more common methods of how you produce each color of kratom:

Red – Dried outdoors (usually) in the sun (dark red and brown powders that are NOT fermented). Darker shades of red may be put in a clear plastic bag for 1-2 days and then finished in the sun - this gives them a partial fermentation...but this "fermentation" is not very common...it's almost always just sun exposed kratom.
Hello, long time lurker, first time poster here. This thread is one I enjoy re-reading often as the amount of information here is just incredible. Just wanted to chime in re: the color variations and drying processes. It would be interesting to see if OP has a picture of a red that has been dried indoors with a south facing window. I'm guessing it would be somewhere between sample #4 and #6 in the photo posted illustrating different drying methods.

Re: Farmers, Harvesters, and ..... Leaf Brokers?

Post by Seberuang Botanical »

it's amazing to be here and see the amazing reviews about how Kratom is processed, when it came to this topic ( Farmers, Harvesters, and ..... Leaf Brokers ) I was surprised because there was a photo of me with my farmer that I posted on my blog last February 2015 ago (https://seberuang-botanical.blogspot.co ... h.html?m=1 ), where at that time I found the source new wild Kratom tree, where the average tree is more than 30 years old, in the photo we sort the Kratom leaves for further processing with string dried and rack dried, I am one of the farmer's suppliers and at the same time an actived Kratom user, so I know how to processed of Kratom with high quality and Of course it is suitable for consumption, I once stopped being a supplier for 3 years because prices at the exporter level were no longer able to cover production costs, many large vendors shipped Kratom to the USA via sea containers, so US vendors also asked me for cheap prices even below shipping costs that we can bear.

sorry my English is not good, so if you want to discuss how to get quality Kratom, don't hesitate to ask me. but almost 80% have been explained in this thread.

Here is a nice video - again another great use of a school! No this isnt drone footage, that is somebody walking through the pile of leaves that somebody is going to consume.

In the photo the leaves are not stepped on, he steps on the side of the container to take the leaves to be selected which are the leaves that are dried on the rack and those that will be dried with a string dried methode. Please zoom in to see the details.
