IT'S MR. SMILEY TIME

Post by instantKARMA »

Following is a NOT so quick break down of strains I've tried from Smiley Time Herbals!

Let's start with Super Green Malay. Well, for starters, this stuff has some serious heat, from
the pit of the stomach (does a stomach even have a pit???) :? to the top of the head, the Super
Green Malay is smokin'! I tested a bit more than my usual burn at 4.5 grams. Five minutes
or so into the burn a nice warm (fuZZzzzY???) feeling set in and lasts for quite some time. At
first there's also some relaxing energy then it settles into a really heavy relaxed state
of well being and, uh, well....laziness, almost sedating but not quite. About 45 minutes into this burn
sedation really sets in and, for me, it's almost...uh, Indica stony! :o This strain gets seriously heavy and
“Red” like with sedation, not at all what I expected....and pain relief??? What pain???
Very very potent! I really expected it to be more middle of the road but maybe it's just how this leaf
works with my metabolism/body chemistry.

Next, Yellow Vietnam. Somewhat similar to the Super Green Malay but not nearly as sedating!
It also has a fair amount of heat and really comfortable feel to it and great pain relief. I definitely
see it as a good strain for an evening of TV or whatever... and it was mildly sedative with a nice
comfortable mood boost! This one may well be my favorite yellow!

The Red Vietnam was absolutely middle of the road, nice mood lift (euphoria?) with a comfortable
amount of energy....and very nice pain relief. I found it to be a very good strain, almost Green like,
but hey, for some reason my metabolism seems to have a rapport with all of the Vietnam strains,
so, there's always that!

And Smiley's Red Bali??? Another excellent strain to add to the rotation. I also experienced major
heat from this burn and super fast pain relief within the first five or six minutes...and it was somewhat
breathtaking in a good way. For those of experience, you know what I'm talking about! For the amount
(3.5 grams) it was mildly sedating but I suspect it could be much heavier with a larger burn. I found it
to be very relaxed and laid back.

If you're into a supremely comfortable afternoon, it's 2g. Red Bali blended with 2g. Yellow Vietnam. This
one is definitely one of my favorite blends....nice mood boost, euphoria, pain relief and just all around
comfortable. I think I could do just about anything with this blend...yard work, house work, television,
internet, it's a jack of all trades! This blend seriously rocks! 8-)

One of MY favorites from Smiley is Green Monster. It has a sweet uplifting feel to it and really nice
clean crisp energy! I'd place it just a little on the fast side of the spectrum, but comfortably fast,
no nervousness or anxiety! One could probably do anything but sleep with this one.

I also was very pleased with Smileys Premium Green Thai. It was a lot like Green Monster but a bit
more laid back, not as intense (and I mean intense in a comfortable sorta way).....with nice clean
middle of the road energy!

SUPREME-GREENS (032519) fits nicely right between Green Monster and the Premium Green Thai!

His Red Samarinda, for me, is very middle of the road, nice pain relief with decent mood boost but
some heaviness sets 40-50 minutes after lift off. This one will definitely be placed with my sleep stash.

Red Sandai I expected to be on the heavy side, but after burning, there was a nice relaxed
energy/wakefulness about it. I noticed my demeanor settle into a nice even mood, kind of glides
you along...easy breezy. :D Great for surfing the internets and googles or just chillin' and watching
tv....and legs??? Damn, this leaf has long legs, it reaches a peak and just stays there forever.
Honestly, I felt it was more like a slow Green than a Red, but a Red never-the-less, if ya' know
what I mean. Dishonestly, it sucked! :P Okay, just kidding! It didn't suck. I found it to be very enjoyable
and Smiley faced...found myself with a grin on my face for no reason at all...and I couldn't make it go
away! Some would call it "sun grins!" I hate when that happens!

Red Elephant...well this one was a flop...............................for about 20 minutes, then I noticed by
eye lids beginning to get heavy...again, I'd describe it as Indica like cuz it sat me down, made me
useless (but what's new, right???) Normally, I feel the onset 5-10 minutes with most strains. This
one took much longer. At the 15 minute mark, I could barely feel it and at the 20 minute mark it was
semi-heavy sedation. I found it somewhat similar to the Green Malay, just a wee bit less heavy.
Again, this is another leaf that made me smile and another one for the bedtime stash!

Last, but not least, Chocolate Bent. Tried it twice and I really can't tell you anything about this one...
burned 4 ½ grams, went to bed and zap, I was gone! Sorry!

At present, I have 20 Mr. Smiley strains and I have many to go. One thing's for sure, I haven't been
disappointed yet. Every one I've tried has been a keeper.

...and Smiley Time customer service???
What service???
…...okay, okay, just messin' with ya'. Mr. Smiley Time's customer service is superlative ....quick
response to emails and he gets product out fast. :) If you don't get it in a couple of days, take it up
with the post office. We all know how that works!

Everybody have a Smiley Time day!
End transmission!

Nice reviews. We must have similar body types.

The Premium MD is very well-rounded.

I went out to grocery shop and didn't want to slaughter anyone.

4 hours in and still going strong.

Very potent but smooth and hits in all the right places.

It might be my new favorite!

LOL...I know what ya' mean! Smiley's Premium MD is on tap for tomorrow and
I'm really looking forward to giving it a go. I have quite a lot of BB's and RVA's
PMD and couldn't stay outta them....then tolerance set in!
Last time I tried them though, they were back on point. :) It'll be interesting
to see how Smiley's compares!

I just went 9 hours between doses. That hasn't happened in a really long time. Take that for what it's worth. I would hit the Premium hard for your morning burn.

Hey, Scotty, took your advice and began my day with Smiley's PMD. Right now, I'm on hour 3 and still
groovin'! Nice euphoria & mood boost, very comfortable energy and effective pain relief! :) Did a short
3+ mile hike and definitely noticed a nice endurance boost! This one will definitely go in the backpack
the next time I do a longer hike....I've scanned some of your comments and I believe you're dead on
about "having similar body types!" Both of us tend to get very similar results from the same strains!

Do you have any of his Thai? I noticed the burns don’t last as long. I thought I read about that somewhere, Thai reacting differently for some people. About 4 hours in I was getting the pre-WD runny eyes.

The Green Aceh is pretty good. Better than the Red IMO.

Yes, I have the Premium Green Thai. I haven't noticed any runny eyes with it (yet), but it does
have a shorter duration compared to the other Greens I've tried from Mr. Smiley's. Even with that,
I'm still very pleased with the mood boosting element and overall feel of the PGT. (The Premium Red
Thai is in transit.) Lately, I've been doing a burn of the PGT just before hiking, but I take along an extra
burn, usually a green, for use around the 2-3 hours or so into my trek. The PGT is still there, but
around that point I've noticed that it begins to fade.

Interesting that you should mention Green Aceh. That's the Smiley strain I'm burning right now....very
nice mood elevator...clean smooth energy and a feeling of clarity. It's likely that my next order will
include a bit of the G.A. It's very good IMO.

I'm due for another burn in a few hours and I'll take Smiley's Red Aceh for a test drive. If it's even close
to being as good as the G.A., I'll be happy! :)

Lol. So you're already one step ahead of me on the Thai by bringing extra with you. That's interesting. Yeah, I thought the burns were fine, just shorter. My eyes start to run(cats and allergens)when it's time for me to re-dose. The kratom(and other bad things) masks my allergies. I also just hit the Green Aceh again. Today was day 2 of squeezing 9 hour burns out of the premium.

Now that you mention it, I've noticed some relief from my allergies too. I never gave it much thought. I've been asthmatic since I was a kid and it usually ramps up significantly around February every year! This year, it didn't do that and I've been relatively asthma free! WoW! :o
Tried the Red Aceh yesterday evening. It took longer than usual for the effects to set in...around 45 minutes before I started to notice. It gave me a really comfortable feeling of equilibrium for quite awhile, then settled into intermediate sedation, not super-heavy or anything like that! The first burn was kinda couch lock and I liked it, but I like the Green a little better!

UPDATE: Received my order this A.M. that includes the Super White Bali. :)
I'm about an hour in and this leaf is definitely on the heavy end of the
spectrum. If I didn't know better, I'd swear it's a Red....kinda makes
the eyelids heavy if ya' know what I mean. It's definitely sedating, warm
and, uh, well...fuZZzzzY.....definitely an evening strain. I will sleep very
well tonight!

I also snagged the Super Royal Bent but I hate to have another open
bag to add to the ever mounting heap. If anybody's tried it, please
give an update!

A white that's like a heavy Red? I've got to try that.

Whites usually make me insane and then I get a sinus headache and weird vision from being cracked out.

I also got super white Bali and super Royal bent. I'm about an hour into the SWB burn and I'm all over the house cleaning and vacuuming. I only did about half my normal amount so maybe that has something to do with us having completely different effects from it??? Going to dose half the normal for the Royal bent about half hour before bed and see how that goes.

Edit: just finished cleaning and sat down on couch. Almost instantly my eyes started to get "super" heavy. Interesting

I started getting longer burns from the Thai strains I have. I guess my body just needed to adjust. They're both(Red and Green) pretty good.

I took a chance and ordered the Super White Bali after the good reviews. Maybe it's the white I've been looking for. Others I've tried just seem one dimensional to me.

I also had to snag some of the Green Bota before the vultures came in, and got some more Premium MD also. Somehow I missed the great Bota reviews at the time. I'm sure I'll love it. I've enjoyed ALL of the greens so far.

I'm still looking for that heavy, sedating, slow Red(like Mystic's Red Bali).

Perhaps a Bent? I've never tried one before.

Overall, I've had a great month thanks to Smiley.

By the time the reviews came in for the WG Bota, I think it was pretty much gone. I think I may have read a review and said to myself “I guess I need to get that one. I’ll make an order tomorrow”. I think it sold out very soon after the review because it was gone when I went to order it. Been on my radar though ever since and I ordered it as soon as it showed up Tuesday. Got some more PMD as well. I should get it tomorrow. Smiley’s greens rarely disappoint me.
I did receive an order yesterday with the Premium Red Thai, Super Royal Bent, Super White Bali, White Aceh, and Yellow Hulu. Burned a little of the Super Royal Bent last night. It seemed pretty heavy, but it’s still a little too early for me to tell. If you are looking for very heavy, the Chocolate Bent might fit the bill. I love Smiley’s Red Bent #2, but the batch I have isn’t all that sedating. Red Samarinda and Mahakam have both been pretty slow in the past.

Thinking about my next order with Mr Smiley, Anyone have any thought? I see they're closed for a few days so I can agonize over the choices a bit. I need to slow down. :D Commodity lust.
I can't seem to stop ordering I know I should be more patient and more selective. The sky is not falling, But its easy to order from Mr Smiley with the significant feedback on this forum. I wanted to try Sosa but I find his inventory more difficult to figure out. I tell myself only buy exceptional batches. Every year I get a little bit better at that. Ive also learned not to chase the last rave review. One mans window is another man's floor.

1. Super White Bali (#041119-1) going by the reviews on here. I may switch this to a sample size. Slow whites are a gamble. Not everyone reacts the same way very much an individual thing
2. Premium Maeng Da (#032519-2) tryed it and its an above average PMD in my book. Cant go wrong.
3. Red Bali (#031419-3) Like it. Good solid Red Bali. having another quarter around cant hurt
4. Wild Green Bota (#041619-1) convinced by reviews this is a good bet.

Possibilities that sound interesting
White Banjo (#031519-2) Really curious about this one and may substitute it for the super white
Premium Green Thai tried it once in a blend with a green-red and it seemed like nice balanced energy
Premium Red Thai (#040819-1) going by the reviews but will probably just go for a sample

Did I miss anything?

Commodity LUST??????????? LOL..............I love it! ......every little leaf that comes along it's like...
must have.......must have leaf...........my precious, my precious....we wants it. we needs it. we must have the precious! gollum...gollum!
"One Leaf to rule them all, One Leaf to find them,
One Leaf to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them!"

Oh, sorry...............anyway, as to having a thought....yes sometimes that happens!
If you're into yellow, the Smiley's Yellow Vietnam is very good, same with the Red Sandai! As I
mentioned earlier, the Green Malay kicks my ass...very potent, very heavy. The Red Elephant is right behind it.
The Green Aceh ain't bad either. Just a "thought!"

edit: Almost forgot....Green Monster, right now, is one of my favorite Greens! Nice energy....uplifting with
nice clarity!

I'd take whatever is available for free since I have not yet ever tried STH at all!

Damn. The Green Monster is good too?????

You guys are killing me here.

One of you asked about the White Banjo. I'm not a white guy but it's very potent and speedy. It will light your ass up, if that's what you like in a white.

The Green Monster is definitely good, Scotty. So far, I've done 5 or 6 burns of that leaf
and it's consistent across the board....same effects every single time......and now you've
piqued my interest in the White Banjo and Oletimer has me "commodity lusting" for Malaysia
Monster........

Ace, you really need to give Smiley a try. I haven't had one dud out of the 11 or 12
strains I've tried so far. Smiley's gone to the top of my list with Kraydo right now. I really
think vendor rotation is as important as strain rotation, but those two have dominated
my burns of late.

swablero, if I were to take a kilo to that remote island, it would be a standoff between
Green Monster and Yellow Vietnam. The Yellow isn't as active as the Green Monster, but
it's damn nice! But if you allowed it, I'd probably opt for a blend of Yellow Vietnam and
Red Bali! That mix has a nice energy AND is simultaneously relaxing, a paradox of sorts. 8-)
That blend has been a staple on the menu lately! (the PMD ain't bad either!) :)

Thanks InstantKarma!
So much for putting in an order today, lol. My commodity lust had to take a cold shower.
Anyway the Super White Bali has sold out. OMG He who hesitates is lost.

So the Green Monster is a chill Green from what I can tell? And the Yellow Viet is like the Red Viet with a bit more energy? Yellows are usually red and whites I think. I did like the Red Vietnam's alkaloid profile though I though it was not a strong leaf (which isnt a showstopper as you can always take more.)

Very intrigued by the Red Sandai. Could this be another good green-red?

OK here's my latest list based on the latest input as I missed the boat on the Super White Bali.
1.Green Monster
2 Yellow Vietnam
3. Red Bali

And in addition 2 out of these 4 and I'll buy small quantities of the other 2 to try them.
PMD or
Wild Green Bota
Green Malay
Red Sandai

Thought I'd put my thoughts out there for you on Smiley, everything I've gotten from them has been great, so I wouldn't worry about making the wrong decision on whatever you choose. But if I had to choose the 2 from your bottom list to try it would definitely be Green Bota and Green Malay, those have easily been my favorite from Smiley.

I’ve tried the Super White Bali a couple times now and I do like it. It’s not nearly as heavy to me as some have posted. It’s got decent euphoria and some “calm energy” too. Substantial mood lift for me. Also tried the Premium Red Thai a couple times now, but that one hasn’t really done it for me. Hopefully that’ll change because I screwed up and added it to my last order as well. I meant to get the PGT but ended up typing PRT. That order should be here today with my Bota, Bali and PMD in it and I’m excited to try the Bota. I will say that his current PMD is very good and I’m normally not crazy about MD’s. It lasts forever with some good controlled energy and it also blends well. A little bit lends those long legs to whatever you’re mixing it with.

Thanks g0ldl10n Yeah Ive tried a few strains from Smiley already and I know its good. Its also about filling wholes in my inventory. He has great greens for sure.

Thanks Jabro!!! Yeah I still want to try the Super White. But its out of stock already.

I should have a rule only buy quantity when I've actually tried a strain already. Then maybe I wont have so many strains that im not crazy about in my closet. Few exceptions to that.
At least its easy to do with Mr S. and Liza and their small splits. I think with all the great leaf around we can afford to be very selective. If I would have ordered what I had only read about in reviews last night I think I would have regretted it. Ive reconsidered my strategy in that light.

I'm going to get samples of the Green monster and Y Viet and R Sandel before I buy it and make sure it works for me like it does for InstantKarma and others.
So far Ive personally tried and liked the R Bali and PMD and will buy those in a split. I have the Green Bota but haven't tried that yet. Thatll be my next burn. The red Vietnam was good but I felt like it was weak and makes me wary of the Yellow V. I'm wary of yellows because blending Reds and whites doesn't always work for me. The red viet is great for blends though. If it turns out to be unique or best available I may try some more. Right now I like the R Bali in that category. Curious about the R Sandai.

I think I will like the G monster. I understand it to be a chill green somewhere between the slow G malawi (really a green-red) and the faster G nugroz.

Thanks!

Wow, I just tried Smiley's Malaysian Monster blend and it's really good. A lot of simulation as well as a pretty substantial mood boost. This is the first time in years that I can honestly say I can burn less of this than my usual, and should have, because I have the slightest bit of nausea that occurs when it's a bit too strong. I will definitely be picking up more of this in the future!

Smiley, if you don't mind what strains make up this blend? I know it's White/Green but which? If that's a secret I understand, but I'm quite impressed. Good work!

I heard that it's green and white Malays with green and white monsters. I haven't tried it yet, but I just got 100 grams of it from my son for my birthday, so I'm excited to see such a positive review! Thanks for posting!

Well I think there's a good chance you'll enjoy it.

Is it just me, or has there been a lot of great Kratom going around recently? Maybe I've just been deprived of good vendors, but over the years I've gotten accustomed to accepting that I'd probably not enjoy more strains than I do when placing an order. In the end I'm just happy I finally found a couple vendors that are outstanding thanks to DoubleM!

I ordered the Malaysian monster, cause it has green malay in it and green monster, ,I have tried the monster and it's good,,but not the green malay, yet,,I have g malays and none of them work for me,,so I am hesitant about ordering it,but since trying the MM, which I liked a lot, I might have to try smileys green malay, ,I got the super white, super royal, and green bota along with the Malaysian monster, the latter is my favorite, now,,oh and the red elephant, I'm glad I gave this a try, ,

Waiting for my order now it’s out for delivery. Yeah I believe he said it was a green but after talking to the farmer in Indo they said it was a red. I’m super excited to try it and the White Bota

Hey Oletimer, my daughter does the same thing...nibble, nibble, nibble...she is always stopping by with "hey Dad, what ya got GOOD" and "Your stuff is always better than mine", haha...I tell her, "why don't you get some new samples and let ME know what's good" :)...not really, I enjoy sharing with my 30 yr old "baby girl". Our leaf has really helped us both with various issues we used to be slaves to Big Pharma about.

Got my order and popped open the Green Monster right away, this stuff is packing some energy for me right now, great to know in the future. I'm going to save the wild green bota for the magical first burn tomorrow. Green Monster is solid though.
