DG Botanicals new batch strains

Don’t see too many recent reviews of Dg botanicals, so I thought I would give some. His strains have been so good to me I rarely go through any other vendors as of recent, but am trying out some new vendors right now.
I order from dg all the time, and is currently my go to vendor. Although after reading some reviews on here I just placed an order through smiley time herbals, and will be putting up a review of those strains as well.

Anyway, here’s just a few strains from dg, from his current batch.

* Classic maeng da 3: 5/5
very good, with long legs with an awesome mood lift, and very “clean” if that makes sense. My favorite strain from him. It’s super pricey though. Most expensive he has. But I keep getting it. He said that this strain was hand picked and processed by the plantation owner himself and is of the best of the best leaves on the plantation, and stock is very limited. That’s why he only offers small quantities and high prices.

* super red kali: 4.8/5
a very fast red for sure, with little to no sedation effects. Very fire.has everything you want out of kratom (except for sleep!) I take it as a day time strain.

* premium Bali: 3/5
A decent strain with great sedation effect for relaxing, but for me i doesn’t really like it too much.

* premium red: 4/5
Great strain for late night. Relaxing, sedating, and very chill. Slow strain for sure.

I’ve gotten almost all their strains, but these are the only ones I have from his current batch. I’ve also got the newer premium maeng da 14 on the way and will put up a review on that as well. I’ve tried his previous PMD’s and were very good though.

Thank you, matt11 and welcome! I'm revisiting his stuff after having recently quit opioids in favor of just kratom. I wasn't getting a true picture of whether a strain was good or not. Strangely, high price and premium versions, I haven't really gotten that much out of his stuff. That's why I'm testing it out again. I have a bunch of legacy batches from last winter. I ordered more in January of this year. I have MD 9.5 and 13. I'd rather buy from vendors like Smiley, Liza and another vendor that I found out about on here, MitraMan. His prices aren't the cheapest out there but he's got some of the best kratom I've ever had. He's a smaller vendor that does his business via MeWe and email. No website at least not yet!

Interesting, I differ from you on two of those. For me the current premium bali is mid spec, leaning on the fast side, strong, nice balance. The premium red is relaxing but I wouldn't peg it as a slow nighty night batch, for me it was perfect for dinner with friends. Haven't had the other two you reviewed.

Yea I really like his strains, some Of the best I’ve had. But I’ve only went through a handful of vendors, about 4 or 5 total.
I’m really looking forward to STB. and looking into mitraman too, after hearing good things on this forum.
Any other vendors anyone could recommend, please? I don’t mind high prices either, I’m focused on quality.

The Prem Bali I got earlier this year is one of the strongest and most potent I've ever had from him. I bought a lot of it. I took some a couple days ago and it knocked me on my ass. The Premium Red for me was also very good and potent. Red Kali was eh, if I remember. Don't think I got GMD 3. I got a sample of Classic MD 2, but it wasn't great enough to warrant buying more. Got a bunch of samples and my wife and I tried them all and rated them and placed a larger order.

Red Borneo was great 4/5
Premium Green was great - 4/5
Bali 24 was good enough to buy more
And Premium White was pretty up there as well.
Premium Bali was 5/5 tho

I was going to get premium white recently but held off for now, hearing your review I regret it now. I’ve had a few of his white in the past and loved them all; white Thai, white horn, and white md. All very good but the white horn really stood out among them all.

I kinda hated the premium Bali tho, funny how strains work for different people. I plan on getting more in the near future.

As of now though I’m branching out to new vendors and see what other have to offer (ordered smiley time last night, planning an order from MitraMan, and looking for 2 other vendors) , been going through dg botanicals exclusively for about 6 months now. With the exception of herbal salvation for herb research’s gold reserve.

Nice review! Yes a couple years ago on Reddit, DG Botanicals was the popular vendor.. I developed this Vendor List based on the ONE objective factor, price! We moved the List to Saidit dot net.

We can debate all day, who's kratom is better, overall DG has done a great job marketing his "Membership" website, its very well done.. Everybody wants quality kratom.. Every vendor SAYS they've got quality kratom!

I noticed DG Premium's were much higher price compared to other good vendors - what's his current PPG now? I'm finding TOP quality, small batch, leaf now from the MeWe vendors on that List.. STH, SoSa, Soulistic.. Of course there's 1 other popular Membership vendor now: K-OG. Kratom-OG.

You can take all FIVE of those.. Top level vendors and they ALL get quality batches. Last winter I heard many, many, DG fans on MeWe complaining that SoCal's Red Bali #1, was much stronger than anything DG had in stock.. For HALF the price! For the same money.. I got Half a Kilo. The DG buyer got maybe seven ounces?

His Regular prices ain't too bad. Its definitely consistent.. I get that! Since the ol' Reddit days.. I've bought many DG strains 2nd Hand. Yep! I found a couple of DG buyers who would re-sell to me. DG prob got mad at my price shopping.. They blocked me from KC Forums lol

Those 2 strains must of been listed in the past day or 2 actually.
I just put in an order a day or 2 ago and didn’t see them.

The only forums I’m in is this one and the kratom sub reddit on reddit. that sucks because in reddit you can’t name vendors, so I can’t even get current strains/vendor reviews there. That’s why I love double M so far,

I've ordered from DGBotanicals a hand full of times, but there was a two year lull while I leaned into my stockpile because my orders from other vendors at the time were disappointing so I was worried that good kratom was getting harder to find, with customs issues, rise in popularity, and possibly adulteration with shitty kratom (my speculation being green tea to give a boost, increase the green color, and make it cheaper.)

I've just ordered from him again and while I need to try each strain a few times, so far his bentuangie is good though it didn't give me that cozy euphoria that I've gotten from other bentuangies. However maybe that will happen another time taking it. His red maeng da is good for pain relief.

The thing about DGBotanicals is the same as with every vendor: when you find one you like and who's kratom works for you, then you tend to stick with them. Luckily for me, his works for me. Now, not every one had hit it out of the park for me, but I've never been burned by him. He ships fast, is relatively close to me so I get his shipments in 2-3 days from order. The small samples included don't hurt either. But really it's the consistency. I've loved stuff from, for example, Taunton bay, which, when I've ordered for a second or third time, is NOT the same quality and maybe not even the same strain as what is labeled. And I don't know whether that is cost cutting measures on their part, or whether they themselves got ripped off by their vendor. Same with gold Bali from Gaia. I would love the shit out of the gold Bali that I looooooved when I first got it. I think I even loved the follow up order. But then all of a sudden, I myself and others noticed that gold Bali was not the same. So consistency matters.

Anyway, I'll order from other vendors, but I've been burned multiple times and that sucks. DGB has never burned me even though I understand he cannot guarantee consistency or that something will work for the buyer. But I know that others who have tried DGB either find his kratom doesn't do much for them, or else they have a favorite vendor that they prefer for similar reasons.

I recently tried out a new-to-me middleman vendor (similar to masochista but not her) who sent out smaller quantities from several vendors who were also new to me. So I think I tried three or four vendors through her and I don't know what happened but all of them were utter shite. All of the constipation, none of the actual positive benefits! Therefore, I probably won't buy from any new-to-me vendors for quite awhile and instead stick with my two year old list of vendors. Anyway, I say that to point out that I wasted $36 (not a lot but still) and I got maybe 9 ounces that I couldn't use. I would rather have paid the $8 shipping and got 3-4 ounces that would have been between amazing and middle of the road but still serviceable. I'm honestly still pissed about it and that was five months ago.

Now would be a good time, his 4/9/19 batch is pretty good across the board. Bali 25 is the best Bali he has had in a minute...IMO.

I had a good response from his red maeng da, for both my husband's migraine and my self who was more testing it, though I did have some knee pain that it made go away. Just got it in the mail yesterday. 1 teaspoon was actually too strong for me. Trying to go to sleep and closing my eyes was a bit "woah!" Without having any negative side effects like spinning or nausea.

The Premium Bali is a favorite for us, but if you hated it, you probably won't agree with my other ratings. TBH, DG's doesn't seem to be more potent than other vendors I've been trying. I would say his best leaf is AS good as the best leaf from any other place. I wouldn't bother having FOMO over that white - it was good, but it's hard to say whether the prices of the premiums are justified.

You know, I found DGs from Reddit a few years ago. I placed a decent sized order for his non-premium leaf. It was decent. I kept going back to it. But it wasn't *fire* - so recently, I did a big sample order of his higher end stuff and ended up liking a few and placing a larger order. It was REALLY expensive. There was no price break for a larger amount - and when it arrived, it was in smaller bags - like he has no way of doing bulk or maybe he just sent it to me how it arrived when he got it. I've always been annoyed that his presentation was the cheapest considering the premium I was paying. Literally the same presentation as Soulistic, but at several times the price.

I can say this - DG's does not have any leaf that's stronger than the best Mitra Man or KOG. I don't regret my DG purchase, but I definitely regret not getting in on that SoCal Red Bali.

I pulled a freezer bomb out yesterday of DG PMD 13. I ordered in late January, early February. I enjoyed it. I'm revisiting some legacy strains and ones that didn't stand out for me, often blending them. I have chronic pain so I start blending in reds or red extract pretty early in the day. I will have to see if the PMD 9.5 stands up to the 13!

I pulled out my old PMD 9.5 a couple of days ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. It knocked out the headache I was getting and made for a mellow afternoon.

When I first purchased it I didn't care for it.

Good to know! I didn't enjoy much of his stuff, at least as much as I thought I should with the exception of hie Prem. Green Thai. Everyone on reddit raved about that one. Mine is from that timeframe, pre reddit ban, early 2018. I'm also revisiting some older RVA that I still have meaning I didn't think it was that great. Sometimes there is a change of mind after leaving it sit. It's always good for blending.

just tried some of his new PMD 14 I got recently. its Very nice, above average for sure. id say a solid 4-4.3 of 5
id say its a balanced mid-spec strain, more faster then slow for sure. great paid relieving effects also, I fell earlier today and banged up my forearm really good, and it took the pain right out.
I liked it a lot better then his PMD 13 and 12, both of which I did not care for at all, and after trying both fo them never revisited.

had a chance to try 2 of his newest batch strains. biassed on a. scale from 1-10.

Super red indo: 7.5/10
I thought this strain was very high quality. for me. I found it a little on the fast side but not too much, and had a great mood lift quality about it. id say it had more so of mood lift then it was fast. Sedation was minimal, but noticeable.

Super Red kali: 6/10
its pretty fast with nice sedation. im taking this one as a day time strain with nice results.
compared to the red kali of his last 2 or 3 batches id say this one is not as good, but still decent .

I like the red indo better, but for me both are nice strains, but not like super fire though. but def better then average leaf.
. ive also got the newer super red MD. whenever I get around to trying this one ill report back.

tried the super red MD recently.. id give it a solid 7/10. only tried once so more testing is def required, but what ive seen so far its really nice, with a big emphasis on sedation. didn't get too much energy , slight mood lift. id recommend for night.

My fave of the 6/1 DG release so far is the Red Indo and Super Green Malay. I didn’t think I really liked greens before trying that SGM. DG’s PMD 14 and 15 haven’t done a lot for me so far. I’m usually a low dosage (1.5-2g) Red user. Anyone have any suggestions for greens and Whites for red/ slow lovers.

I just ordered some samples of the 6/1 batch, so don't know yet how they are...But, if you like slow reds, you might sample the new Deep Jungle Red...If it is anything like what he used to get by that name, it is fantastic...Back in 2016, was a favorite for sure...I'm really hoping it is comparable.

This latest restock is on par with the last one, which means it’s fantastic. My favorites so far are Premium White, Premium Green, Plantation Thai, PMD15, Red Thai, Red Indo, and Green Kali. They’re all very solid. I think both Premium White and Premium Green are close to perfect.

I agree. The last two loads have been stellar, just as good as 2016 and fall 2017, some of it might even be better. They have me broke lol. PMD15 is so well-rounded, perfectly balanced, strong, long legs. SRVB is A++ for pain but not sleepy, very clean feel; it's usually deeper and slower but this batch is different/unique. The deep jungle red is superb too, deep slow red, also amazing for pain, the powder is green not benty. Fans of faster reds will love the red thai.

I could not have described them better myself!! People who are not buying DG right now are seriously missing out on some of the best kratom I have ever had

My samples of this 6/1 batch are out for delivery...YAY...I REALLY enjoyed the last re-stock (4/9 I think)...Most of that batch was back to being more like his leaf from 2016...To ME, it is above average and better than most of what people call good leaf. DG is not for everyone, but for ME, it's usually a step above most other Vendors...If you get samples first, you can find some VERY good leaf, that I personally don't mind paying a bit more for. But that's just ME. Again, DG is not for everyone. But a lot of what I have gotten from DG over the years is better than anything else I have ever gotten any other place.

Yes, I am so guilty! I succumbed to the hype!

I used to really like DG about a year and a half ago, but then it stopped working. Same with RVA and believe it or not, Gaia. Since then I've tried a shitload of different companies, all hit or miss, which seems to be the standard.

So hell yeah, when someone says one of my old faves has fire, I'm all over it!! Except Gaia
