So I really do enjoy writing a haiku, I thought maybe we could get our collective creative juices flowing and keep this thread going....

I've got some laying around here somewhere. The only one I know by heart was a song called "Graceful Butterfly" and it's not very nice so I'll sit on that one. This should be fun. Well...for us anyway. Haha!

(note : I wrote this when I was 18 [ I'm now almost 45] and had just moved to Richmond city. I had no job and no experience in any respect, so everything was new including going to a labor pool. I was hanging chickens for Tyson Foods at the time I wrote this so I was bitter. Back then, minimum wage was $4.25, so a nights work got you a pack of cigs, one meal, a little bottle of liquor, and a dime bag with a couple of bucks left over. It sucked. Needless to say, this is a bitter "haiku" for these reasons. Don't be offended by this. I've grown SO MUCH and seen SO MUCH and done SO MUCH since then, believe me. These are things i saw in one day and documented that night. Also, some parts of this fit the haiku format, but in general, I have no idea WTF I was thinking to call it that. Enjoy...)

fat ugly runt junkie whore
turning tricks in your car
her actions no mystery
needs some cash for dope

we were walking yesterday
guy with no eyes bumming
like he's seen better days
at least he's heard them....

Well, I like everything Lou did from the Velvets on (EXCEPT the disco reeking "Original Wrapper" but I'm pretty sure that was record company hate/rebellion so he gets a pass, bit I still don't like it. "Metal Machine Music," same thing, but that's WAY more tolerable than "The Original Wrapper!"

Also, the "guy with no eyes" seemed to have had his eyes literally burned or picked out, so that made a HUGE impression on me at that age. It was crazy.
