How do you dose?

Just thought I'd share with everyone how I enjoy my leaf and I would love some feedback. I used to t&w but that was miserable lol.

I start by weighing out my dose, usually 6-7g for my morning dose. Then I toss that into my Blender Bottle that has a little metal shaker ball inside it. Then I heat up a little bit of water for 20 seconds. (Not boiling, just warm). Then I pour the water on top of the leaf so that it helps it break up when I go to shake it. (Helps the leaf from sticking to the bottom.) Then I top it off with orange juice. Shake. And enjoy!

I would love to hear everyone else's methods or if you can think of anything to help mine.

Toss dose under tongue. Take a gulp of coffee. Swish it all around for a few secs till kratom dissolves. Swallow.

I got used to the taste of kratom right away and now I rarely even think about it.

I start with an 8 ounce pesto jar because the shape keeps the powder from flying, add a couple ounces of cold tap water, empty a packet of TrueLemon into it (usually the grapefruit, though all of them are good) and top it with three grams of whatever I'm doing that day. I then grab the best $6 I ever spent -- a battery powered matcha whisk -- and whiz it for 3-5 seconds, then drink. I swish out the jar with more tap water and drink that too, and that's it. Rinse off the whisk and I'm done.

Yeah, I hear ya. That's why I always put the water in first, though with the whisk nothing's sticking anywhere anymore.

~5 grams in a coffee mug, half a lemon squeezed onto it with a citrus press, an ounce or two of boiling water on top, stir, and chug!

I pour about 2 ounces of water (usually cold) in a cup, dump in 5 grams of leaf and toss it back like a shot of liquor. There's usually some clumps of residual powder on the side of the cup so I pour in some more water and swish it around to get it all and drink it.

I've found, for me, that it's the easiest and quickest way. I've never been one to "prepare" a kratom drink.

I have done as much as 9 - 10 g at a time and barely taste it most times. I usually use orange juice. Here's how I do it.

1.I measure out the strains into a shot glass.

2.Take a good sip of your drink.

3.Take a big breath and hold it.

4.Tilt head all the way back.

5.Toss powder on top of liquid and swallow.

6.Take another swig of liquid and swish it around to collect any powder not swallowed the first time and swallow.

7.Now you can exhale.


The only time I've had this go bad are because I didn't tilt my head back far enough or because I exhaled and inhaled before finishing step 6.

Simple old "toss and wash" for me. I used to drink it with orange juice if I had some or I would just mix it up in water.

I have a capsule machine also, so sometimes I'll make a batch of capsules if I want to take them with me somewhere.

I've heard of people drinking kratom with pickle juice recently, supposed to help increase the effects they said.

Guess I'm on another planet here, but .. I do Freeze & Filter: the Green Alkaloid Smoothie method.

Still working on that Tutorial - I'm past the Freeze part and will get to mixing that Smoothie with liquid vitamins & stuff.

In recent months - I finally got a handle on the flavoring. Yes!! A Smoothie can be made, that actually tastes OK. - meaning kind of like coffee, tea, or booze - Bitter by nature but with the right additives ..

So .. I'm basically making a quick Extract. Kratom powder contains goodies.. and some dirt. Raw botanical powder includes dirt .. My goal is to consume more Alkaloids and less mud - As a percentage of my dose - I recycle the mud a few times. Kitchen looks a bit like a chemistry Lab - got my Freezer Jar, my Smoothie glass ( regular 16-oz beer glass ), And also a Sludge Bucket.

My Sludge Bucket is where the mud goes and I freeze it over and over a few times. Dirt sinks to the bottom. Alkaloids float on top .. After several days of "Recycled Sludge"... Not much left but thick, black, dirt. No taste even. All the goodies have been removed. It's like coffee grounds... Toss 'em.

Once you've done this, and seen the black stuff - not to gross anyone out - I can't eat that No Way. Does it take extra time to prepare, and hassle with ? Yes.. Just like coffee. Fresh brewed coffee is always better!! I'm going to make a YouTube video, it seems like there's enough interest

I got insanely sick to my stomach a few weeks ago and pretty sure it was bad kratom. I gave it up for several days and swore it off. My method was toss and wash, so instead of tossing out my kratom from various vendors, I decided I would make tea to kill any bacteria. It has changed my world.

My method: I start with approximately 12-16 ounces of water in a medium pot. Next, I stir in about 4-6 teaspoons of Kratom, then bring to a boil. I remove from heat and add about 2 tbsp of lemon juice, stir, cover, and let sit for at least 20 minutes, usually an hour. It is worth the wait for me.
After liquid has cooled, I pour into a 20 oz plastic bottle, cap it, shake it, and store in fridge. I keep a few of these bottle with different blends on hand, and use as needed throughout the day. My favorite this week has been a blend of two parts Red Kali and 1 part Green Malay. First dose of day I drink about 4-8 oz. Very, very, nice and soothing. It is a good way to avoid any pesky bacteria. Also I have found that if I have any of the typical stomach issues from toss and wash, that straining the tea will solve that upset stomach thing.

*I have neuropathy, btw, and kratom has been a blessing. It is way cheaper than neurontin and way less addictive than Norco. I have no desire for any opiate pain relievers since I started doing my daily burn. I don’t need benzos for anxiety either.

I use the little 6oz water bottles. Take a sip funnel in 2-4g depending on the time or my mood, shake and refrigerate. Kratom tastes so much better cold. My other reason for this method is it’s easy to grab 3 premade bottles and go out for the whole day. Enjoy

This is the exact process I use except that during step 5, I swish and mix with liquid in mouth before swallowing.

I make capsules and discovered for me it works better than making tea and by getting all of the plant material into my stomach I go through less, I would probably do toss and wash but because of breathing problems and having had sleep apnea surgery I have discovered that caps work best for me.

I use "Cooking Concepts White Plastic Measuring Cup & Spoon Set" purchased for $1 at "Dollar Tree" some useful measurements for the spoons are:
1/4 TSP (1.2ml) contains 0.5 grams of Kraitom
1/2 TSP (2.5ml) contains 1 grams of Kratom
1 TSP (5ml) contains 2.2 grams of Kratom
1 TBS (15ml) contains 6 grams of Kratom
Scoop the kratom with a soon, then use flat object or finger to shave off extra kratom from top back into container, then use hand-held AA-battery operated Milk Frother (similar to this one: https://www.amazon.com/Bonsenkitchen-El ... ilk+frother) fill half a cup with water or milk, empty kratom from spoon into the cup, lower the mixer all the way below the liquid and switch it on for 10 seconds (switch it on only after the spinning thingy is below liquid to avoid kratom-dust cloud), works nicely.
